On-line help system
An Interactive help system is available inside the
software that will give you quick hints on how each tool
can be used. You can activate the help system and simply
tap on the tool you want to learn about. For the complex
tools, extensive documentation is available online.
AcuDesign
AcuDesign is the embroidery app that gives you the ability
to import stitch designs from various sources and modify
them anywhere, anytime—even when you’re not
connected to the Internet: personalize your designs using
your iPhone/iPod or iPad to combine the right fabric and
thread colors, choosing the design style that suits your
project, as easy as pressing a button!
See it all before you export the design for your embroidery
machine, in Photorealistic preview and stitching simulation
to ensure perfection every time.

Browse the embroidery designs
AcuDesign includes 500 free embroidery designs for you
to download and a complete collection of embroidery
designs to purchase through the Apple Store.
Filter designs by Category
All designs are categorized and you can easily filter them
in the browser by selecting any of the available
categories. The designs will be filtered and you will be
able to view them from the specific category you
currently choose.
Search designs
You can search for the designs you are looking for in the
“already purchased” list and in the “available to buy in
the market” list at the same time. You can also sort the
results by Name, Date or Package.
View designs grouped by package
There are different views that show the embroidery
designs grouped by package. In order to access the
different views you can either click on the icon at the top
left corner of the Embroidery browser or on the tag of
any design.
Organize designs
Organize your designs by selecting the Package in which
will belong, the Category they will be added in, where
they will be Stored (Device, Dropbox) and which Tags
apply to them. You can organize the designs one by one
or by selecting multiples.
Import embroidery designs
Import and export your own collection of designs no
matter what their source is, that is whether your got
them from your favorite Retailer or online.
Selection tools
In AcuDesign App you have three different selection
tools (Object selection, Lasso selection, Brush selection)
and three selection modes (Normal, Add to selection and
remove from selection). You also have the ability to
Select All objects or Invert your selections which are very
useful selection options. These tools will make your life
easier when editing your designs.
Zoom in and Zoom out
Zoom in and Zoom out with two finger gestures or with
the available slide bar.
View actual size, fit to screen, Undo & Redo
AcuDesign has the ability to view the "actual size" of the
design or "fit it to the screen" together with the ability to
"Undo" and "Redo" any changes you make.
Resize, mirror the design with automatic
stitch density adjustment
Resize the embroidery designs proportionally or not to
prepare it for embroidery. AcuDesign will automatically
adjust the stitch density. You can mirror a design by
dragging the resize handle to the direction you want the
design to be mirrored. AcuDesign can also change the
stitch type of the object if this is needed after scaling.
Rotate or slant the design
You can rotate or slant specific objects or the entire
design and get the embroidery results you want. You also
have the ability to change the rotation/slant center of
the design and make transformations based on the new
center.
Change thread colors
AcuDesign gives you the ability to change thread colors
from a complete collection of thread color palettes. You
can also filter the Thread palettes you want to view and
use.
After making the changes you want, you can send the
information about the threads that you will use in the
specific design by email, along with the quantity you will
need and use this as shopping list.
Change fabric type and color
You can change fabric type and fabric color and get a
more photorealistic preview of the final embroidery
result.
Cut, Copy, Paste or Delete objects from a
design
Merge your designs by copying and pasting parts from
one design to the other. You can even create new
embroidery designs from parts of various designs or
even create repeats of parts of the same design.
Add, move or delete stitches
A stitch editor is also included which allows you to Add,
Move or Delete stitches. These tools are very useful for
fine tuning the embroidery design before sending it to
the machine. An automatic magnifier will follow the
selected stitch for better tuning.
Remove small stitches
Editing module includes a tool which can automatically
clean the small stitches (>0.4mm) from the design. This
improves the quality of the design and the occurrence
of thread breaks while embroidering.
Re-sequence embroidery designs
Change the embroidering sequence of a specific design
just by dragging the objects at the rope clothesline from
one position to the other.
Special functions- Thread trim, Stop
Apply special functions to any thread you have selected
on the design. You can add Stops to Applique designs
and Thread trims in the stitches you want the
embroidery machine to cut.
Measure tool
There is a measure tool (available in all modes) that
allows you to measure the entire embroidery design or a
specific part of it.
Select a hoop for your design
You can easily check if the design fits into the hoop that
you intend to use. Select a hoop manufacturer and then
the machine you have and the hoops that you have
available will appear.
Auto-fit a design to the size of the hoop
If you want a specific design to fit in the selected hoop,
you can use the Auto-fit option which will do that for you
automatically. The App will not only fit the design into
the hoop but it will also automatically adjust its density.
3D photorealistic preview
Every design can be previewed in the Embroidery viewer
with 3D photo realistic stitches. You can either preview
the designs you already own or the designs that are
available in the market.
Photorealistic, real-time simulation
Photorealistic, real-time simulation of the stitching
process, with machine’s speed adjustment option and
“move frame” ability; the sound of the machine can be
muted or its volume adjusted from the Preferences,
while special care has been taken to conserve battery
especially when the user is idle.
Export designs from Creative DRAWings® 6
and Wings' modular® to iPad and iPhone
Communication between Windows software,
Creative DRAWings Advanced v.7, Wings' modular v.5
and your AcuDesign embroidery library! Magically get
your designs within your iPhone/iPad/iPod to be used on
the go!
Create your own design packages that will be
automatically synced with your iPad/iPhone/iPod
through your Dropbox account. Use the designs to show
them to your customers and friends and transfer them
immediately to your embroidery machine through
various mass storage utilities.

Direct export to Janome MC15000
AcuDesign recognizes automatically when the Wi-Fi of
the Janome MC15000 machine is turned on and can
send designs to it directly. Note: iPad and MC15000 must
be on the same WiFi network to establish direct
connection. Other devices are not needed for
transferring files to the machine.
Now there are not limits in the places where you can
create and embroider your designs.
Export multiple designs
You can select multiple designs from the Embroidery
browser and export them in any stitch file type you
prefer from the available ones.
iCloud connection
AcuDesign has an iCloud connection to synchronize
embroidery design purchases between different devices
(iPad, iPhone etc.). It also synchronizes many other
personalizing settings, like the measurement system and
the thread palettes you use.
Air Print – Print useful information about the
embroidery design
Print useful information wirelessly through Air-Print. The
printout will help you, during the embroidering process
to use the correct thread colors and produce a perfect
embroidery result.
Post your creations to Facebook
Post your designs to Facebook and receive Likes,
comments and suggestions from your friends. If you have
a business, you can invite your customers to check the
designs you have posted on your Facebook page and
decide which one they want to order.
