Europe`s premier vegan food event Vegfest descending in Scotland
Europe’s premier vegan food event Vegfest descending in Scotland in December SCOTLAND is set to embrace an era of vegan lifestyles and healthy eating with one of Europe's leading vegan food and lifestyle events Vegfest descends on Scottish soil for the very first time on December 5th 6th in Hall 3 of the prestigious SECC in Glasgow. No festival is complete without stacks of good food and Vegfest Scotland is no exception with space for 14 caterers bringing home a wide range of global vegan cuisines, as well as a series of cookery demos and living raw food demos showing you how to get the best out of plant-based ingredients in your everyday dishes. Shopaholics will find plenty of goodies, free samples and special discounts from altogether 140 stalls. Health afficionados will find no ends of tips at the Health Summit on the Saturday with renowned dieticians, healthcare professionals and health researchers shedding light on plant-based nutrition. Committed vegans looking to influence those around them to follow a vegan lifestyle have the chance to network with a number of like-minded souls at the Activists Summit on the Sunday. On top of eating, shopping and education, there's still time for some lighthearted entertainment from comedians, musicians, poets and kids entertainers, plus socialising in the Teen VGN Zone for teenage veggies/vegans and a Mature Zone with vegan health information and refreshments for those in advanced years. With a number of celebrities speaking at the event, including vegan punk rocker John Robb, TV presenter Anneka Svenska, model Victoria Eisermann, pop singer Pola Pospieszalska, vegan comedians Andrew O'Neill and Jake Yapp and others, Vegfest Scotland is a remarkable colosseum of culinary delights, a marketplace of vegan gems and a hub of vegan education sprinkled with plenty of stardust, humour, new friends and good vibe. Advance tickets for the event are priced at £5 for one day and £8 for the whole weekend - these go on sale from September 28th 2015 at the show website www.vegfestscotland.com/ admission. A limited amount of tickets are available on the gate at £8 for adults / £4 for concessions. Kids under 16 get free entry.
