Beginner Tai Chi Class Saturdays, July 9, 16 & 30 - 11 am to 12 pm Chatham resident Cathryn Iorio, RN and Certified Holistic Health Counselor, will hold a three-week beginner Tai Chi class for adults. The Healthy Brain Thursday, July 14 - 7 pm Michelle Papka, PhD, Director of the Cognitive and Research Center of NJ, will present a program that integrates psychology, diet and cognitive stimulation geared to improve one’s memory. Creative Writing Workshop with Tom Cantillon Saturdays, July 30, August 6 & 13 - 1 to 3 pm Tom Cantillon, creative writing teacher at Union County College, will hold a three-session course combining information about writing structure, e-publishing and finding an agent. AUGUST The History of the National Park System Saturday, August 6 - 2 pm In recognition of the 100th anniversary of our national parks, Eric Hausker, co-chair of the Loantaka Chapter of the Sierra Club, will present a lecture on the history of the national park system. Topics will include the influence of John Muir and the Sierra Club on Yosemite, Yellowstone and the Redwoods, and the state of national parks today.
