“Brazil.
When asked which region is best for wildlife viewing, I must say
I saw a greater variety of wildlife in the Pantanal wetlands than I did in
the Amazon. However, the Pantanal does not have the dense vegetation
that the Amazon rainforest has, leaving fewer places for the
animals and birds to hide. What I remember most about the
Amazon is the aerial view of the mighty river meandering
through the dense green forest. Most importantly,
I gained awareness of how important this vast
region is to the well-being of our planet.
