Three sisters, ages 92, 94 and 96 live together.
One night, the 96 year old draws a bath. She
puts one foot in and pauses. “Was I getting in
the tub or out.?” she yells. The 94 year old
hollers back, “I don’t know, I’ll come up to
see.” She starts up the stairs and stops. She
shouts, “Was I going up or going down?” The
92 year old is sitting at the kitchen table, having tea, listening to her sisters. She shakes her
head and says, “I sure hope I never get that
forgetful,” and knocks on wood for good measure. Then she yells, “I’ll come up and help
both of you as soon as I see who’s at the door.”

In case anyone is considering doing some camping
this spring or summer, please note the following
public service announcement. In BC, tourists are
warned to wear tiny bells on their clothing when
hiking in bear country. The bells warn away MOST
bears. Tourists are also cautioned to watch the
ground on the trail, paying particular attention to
bear droppings to be alert for the presence of grizzly
bears. One can tell a grizzly dropping because it has
tiny bells in it.
Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot
most of the time which produced an impressive set
of calluses. He also ate little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from
bad breath. This made him a super calloused fragile
mystic hexed by halitosis.

Prequalification of Contractors for
Unsightly Premises
Clean-up and Derelict Building Removal
The Regional District of Bulkley Nechako (RDBN) invites submissions for the prequalification of contractors to bid on contracts to clean up unsightly premises and remove derelict structures from private property for the
RDBN. The services to be bid on include the following.
The removal, transportation, and disposal of filth, discarded materials, rubbish, scrap metal,
automobile wrecks, or derelict automobile bodies from private property under the
direction of the RDBN. This may include the safe storage of materials removed from
a property for collection by the owner.
The dismantling and removal of structures from private property, and the disposal of the
demolition waste and structures.
The provision of all equipment, materials, and labour necessary to do the work.
The object of this prequalification is to provide the RDBN with a short list
of qualified contractors. This list will be effective for a two year period with the
option to extend for an additional one year period at the discretion of the RDBN.
This pre-qualification process is open to only those contractors that are in
good standing with the Worker’s Compensation Board of British Columbia,
have valid comprehensive general liability insurance for an amount not less
than two million dollars, and have automobile public liability and property
damage insurance in the amount of two million dollars per occurrence per
owned, non-owned or hired vehicle.
Contractors having the capability to provide the services are invited to respond
to this request by full completion of the Prequalification Form provided by the
RDBN. The completed Prequalification Form may be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Prequalification for contractors for unsightly premises clean-up”
to the attention of Jason Llewellyn at the RDBN office at PO Box 820, 37 3rd
Avenue, Burns Lake, BC, V0J 1E0. Submissions will be received by the RDBN
until 4:30 pm, Friday, May 29th, 2015.
To obtain the Prequalification Form, or ask questions related to this invitation
for pre-qualification, please contact Jason Llewellyn, Director of Planning at 1800-320-3339 or by email to [email protected].

An elderly couple was in bed one night when the woman woke up from a bad dream, waking her
husband who asked what was wrong. She said” I dreamt that I died and you got remarried. If I died
tomorrow would you get remarried.” He said, “Sure, I don’t want to spend the rest of my life lonely.”
Then she asked, “Would you two lie in this house?” He replied, “Sure, we just got finished paying off
our mortgage.” She asked again, angry now, “Well would she sleep in this bed?” He snickered and
said,, “Yes, of course, this is a brand new bed.” She asked irately, “Well, would she use my golf clubs?”
He replied with a straight, serious face, “No, She’s left handed.”
