Y
ou are all messengers from God, sent to
Earth to carry a message. But this message
is encrypted, and you must decipher it within
yourself. In other words, you carry a part of the
emanation of the Divine. It's as though you're a
scroll for the Word of God.
It's true that God exists without you, but all
of you are a part of God. You will live forever,
you have lived forever, and you will never be
diminished or lost.
Spirituality means, in essence, finding yourself,
finding the God within and without, and fighting
the battle against negativity. You see, even if just one of you will go out
into the world and show the light to others, then a “grayness” has turned
bright. This is how you fight negativity, and it only takes a handful of you
to accomplish a great deal.
Each of you is here to evolve your soul. You've chosen to experience life
in order to perfect more rapidly. You're evolving as a unique part of God,
perfecting one aspect of Him and Her. God experiences through His and
Her creations, a "duality of God".
Start looking at life as something you must survive. It's something that
can be fun, but it's also very tedious. As best you can, look at life as a
school where bad food is served in the cafeteria and the teachers aren't
always of the highest caliber. You'll make it through much better if you
maintain a sense of humor.

Celebrating New Beginnings
Welcome to the first issue of The Sylvia

yourself, "What? First issue? I've been getting
the newsletter forever!" As some of you may
already know, the November/December issue
marked the end of Sylvia's contract with Hay

there is a new beginning and that's just what

Why did we do this? Because we realize that

I know I speak across timeless years and lives, and
I know that You have been with me no matter what
path I have taken. I also see You lovingly before me,
watching with patient eyes; each tear I’ve shed is only
in the space of Your heartbeat. Hope springs within me
that each laugh and tear lights a path to You; to be is
only to exist in loving You and in You loving me. In this,
I have acquired not only the hope, but the belief in my
immortality.
Sylvia’s Farewell To Hay House
The month of November wrapped up Sylvia's
Farewell Tour with Hay House. Sylvia hosted a
Mystical Traveler cruise to the Caribbean along
with special guest Colette Baron-Reid. They each
gave a series of lectures on board and mingled
among guests at the Hay House Cocktail Party.
This was truly a magical cruise, seeing quite a few
familiar faces from previous trips with Sylvia, and
enjoying the tropical weather in Autumn.
After disembarking in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Sylvia
headed over to Tampa for the "I Can Do It" event
where she was a keynote speaker. "It was great,"
Sylvia said of her final shows with Hay House. "I
love Hay House and they love me. The people are
always interesting!" Sylvia is looking forward to
her 2010 lecture tour but will always hold a special
place in her heart for Hay House and the staff that
she came to know and love over the years.

so, did he or she say anything to you that has proven to be correct?
A: They won't read for me - they say my energy is too high.
Q: Now more than ever, people are turning to others for guidance
to help them cope with the difficulties of this rapidly changing
world. What are some things people should keep in mind when
dealing with someone who claims that they are a psychic?
A: Find out if they are licensed or affiliated with the Better Business
Bureau. See how specific they are and talk to others. Also see how long
they have stayed in one place.
Q: People have fraudulently used your name and success for their
own profit, pretending to be you on the phone and online. How
does this make you feel?
A: Terrible. But I hope people have enough smarts now to go to

Q: What can you say to those who have been scammed by
charlatans to instill confidence that there are truly gifted psychics
out there?
A: First, turn those people in to the District Attorney’s office. There

SYLVIA SCORES ON PAST PREDICTIONS
Since the
dawn
of time,
people have
always been
curious about
the future. You
may be surprised
by the number of historical figures who have
had the gift of prophecy- Joan of Arc, George
Washington, Mark Twain, and Cyrano de
Bergerac, to name a few.
Each year for as long as she can remember,
Sylvia has made her New Year's predictions in
the areas of politics, weather, religion, health,
the economy, and even Hollywood celebrities.
In her book “Prophecy” (Dutton), Sylvia says
that she can't explain the mechanics of how
she collects her information. "I just do it,"
Sylvia has said. She was just born this way.
How accurate is Sylvia? According to her,
she has been tested a "bazillion" times by
numerous experts, and her accuracy is rated
between 87 and 90 percent. "Only God can
be 100 percent. And if any psychic tells you
otherwise, they're lying!"
As you read Sylvia's predictions for 2010,
some of you may be curious about how many
of Sylvia's past predictions really came true.
In this issue, we'd like to highlight some of
Sylvia's on-target predictions that she made for
2009.
SYLVIA'S PREDICTION: There will be
more train accidents.
THE VALIDATION: There was a considerable
number of railway accidents in 2009. In fact,
as of the time of writing this article (12/09),
there have been 11 major train accidents
reported from around the world, taking
dozens of lives and seriously injuring many
more. Accidents have occurred in 9 different
countries including the U.S.; Germany;
China; India; Italy; Egypt; Croatia; Slovakia;
and Russia. On November 27, 2009 a bomb
exploded under a high speed train traveling
between the cities of Moscow and St.
Petersburg. There were 27 confirmed deaths
as a result of the derailment, and over 90 more
injured. The Russian government confirmed
terrorist activity.
SYLVIA'S PREDICTION: A large ocean
liner will go aground in March.
THE VALIDATION: On February 18th,
2009, less than 2 weeks from March, the
Antarctic cruise ship M/V Ocean Nova ran
aground in Marguerite Bay, near the Antarctic
Peninsula, with 106 passengers and crew on
board. Fortunately, all of the passengers were
transferred to another ship, who came to their
rescue, and the ship was freed by high tides
the following day.
SYLVIA'S PREDICTION: There will be
an uprising, similar to the '60s riots, in
Oakland, California.
THE VALIDATION: In the early morning
hours of New Year's Day 2009, a policeman
fatally shot a young man named Oscar Grant
while he was resisting arrest. He was being
arrested for participating in a fight that
escalated between several people on a Bay
Area Rapid Transit train. Grabbing a pistol
instead of his taser, the cop knelt on the back
of Grant's neck and shot him in the back.
Grant was unarmed. There were numerous
eyewitnesses and video footage soon made
its way on the News and on the Internet. The
public reacted by violently protesting and
rioting on 4 different occasions throughout the
month of January, causing over $200,000 in
damage due to fires and vandalism.
SYLVIA'S PREDICTION: There will be a
large bank robbery in Las Vegas involving a
Brinks truck.
THE VALIDATION: Armored car robbers in
Las Vegas took off in December with what
they thought was a 1 million dollar money
bag. Police confirm that there was actually
only $36,000 in cash and the rest of the
amount was accounted for in checks and other
receipts. Investigators said that the robbery
appeared to be a well-planned daylight heist
in the parking lot of a Las Vegas casino. Of
course, the money was being transported from
the casino vault to the bank.

I can remember when people in
the old churches I attended would
come up and say, "You have to
believe this way" and they would
chase me with their light (what
I like to think of as a candle).
What did that light do when it was
running around chasing me? Did
it illuminate my soul? No, it did
not, it frightened me and that fear
caused it to BLOW out.
So let us not run around trying to
shove our beliefs down the throats
of people. Let us stay still, let our
eternal flame attract those who
want our truth, who see God in our
lives and want that for themselves.

Q. How long have you known Sylvia and how did
you meet?
It seems as if I've known Sylvia forever, but in
this life I've known her for about 16 years. I will
never forget the day I met Sylvia because it changed
my life. I know it sounds cliche but it's the truth. I
was exercising at my gym and a female acquaintance
asked if I would like to go with her to a trance session
with Sylvia Browne in Campbell, CA... THAT night. My first response
was a blunt ...no, but she was not deterred and went on to tell me what
an amazing experience it would be. Basically, I said yes just to get her
to stop talking (but I did want to see Sylvia in person!) The minute
I walked through the doors of Novus Spiritus and locked eyes with
Sylvia Browne, I knew I was "home." (I will always be grateful to that
woman for being the catalyst to steer me in what continues to be an
amazing spiritual journey.)
Q. What made you want to become a minister with Novus Spiritus?
First and foremost, the Novus Spiritus philosophy. It felt right to
me, it resonated within my soul and I wanted to share what I had
learned with others. I never had a "calling" like some ministers have
described, but I observed how Sylvia, Chris, and the ministers helped
people. I wanted to be a part of that service. I had one big obstacle: I
was painfully shy! With the help of Sylvia, the ministers, and the need
to be a part of Novus Spiritus, I eventually got over that phobia.
Q. Philosophy and teaching aside, has Sylvia's psychic abilities
directly helped you in handling a personal issue of your own?
Definitely! Sylvia has helped me many times but the most profound
was my bout with Breast Cancer in March 1997. I had a radical
mastectomy and she was there for me in ways I can never repay in
this lifetime. She gave me the confidence and resolve to deal with this
disease in the best way I could. I did not go with the recommended
treatment and my family was told by doctors that I was in denial and
would die within the year...almost thirteen years later, I am cancer
free! (Please note: I did what I felt was right for me in my fight with
cancer. I am not advocating others to do the same. Always do what
you feel is in your best interest and what your body needs in dealing
with any disease or illness!)

hese entities are the cornerstones of society, the
unsung heroes and heroines of wars, home life, and
organizations. Good parents are often builders, enabling
their children to go on to a much larger canvas. Without
these cogs, the wheels would never turn, yet builders
rarely receive credit for the accomplishments made
possible by their efforts. They need to keep in mind that
not all prizes are won on this plane of existence. Often
those who get the credit on Earth are not perfecting
as rapidly as the builders who help to make their

Sylvia’s
Healing
Meditations
Many people have told Sylvia that they have trouble meditating.
They don't know how to visualize, or they've tried to meditate without
much success. Sylvia says, "We can receive messages through infusion,
a process where a thought appears in our minds. Many times we wonder
where it comes from. Simply put, when we quiet the constant chatter of
our minds, we open our channels to unseen, loving companions along
the pathway of our lives." Below is a meditation for you from Sylvia to
ease your challenges and bring you closer to divide guidance:
The Raft Meditation
I want you to use what we call the "raft." Visualize yourself in water.
It's dark, the wind is blowing, and you're very frightened. Let yourself
experience a mild phobic reaction. If you're afraid of water, practice
this meditation anyway. Feel the waves, feel the darkness, and feel
the aloneness. All of a sudden from this deep darkness, you see the
clouds begin to disperse and find yourself bathed in moonlight. You're
floundering, you're coughing, you're wet, and you're cold.
After the clouds disappear, you notice a raft nearby. You've never
seen this raft before. As soon as you spot it, you feel an overwhelming
sense of security. You begin to swim toward it. Astonishingly, you
actually see yourself on the raft. You may question, "If I'm in the water,
how can I be on the raft at the same time?" The "you" in the water is the
phobic, fearful you- the emotional, floundering, scared, frightened you.
The "you" on the raft is the smiling, confident you.
Ultimately, the goal is to bring the two together. The confident
"you" reaches down and pulls the frightened "you" into the raft. Lo
and behold, the frightened "you" merges with the stable "you." Now,
imagine that the water, the darkness, the fear, and the cold all represent
the negativity you've had to experience in your life. When you've gone
through despair, grief, and fear, you feel like you've been abandoned. If
you're working through a tragic job, a bad marriage, or a difficult family
situation, throw yourself into the water and fight your way back to the
confident "you" waiting on the raft.
Remember, when it becomes easy for the frightened "you" to merge
with the confident "you," this doesn't mean that you have "arrived."
You'll still experience grief, suffering, and negativity many times
in your life; and you'll be thrown back into the water with yourself.
Use this meditation and make sure that you always merge with your
confident self. In other words, make the cold, frightened self disappear
so that only the beautiful, shining, smiling self remains.

Wishing You Good Health & Happiness In 2010

appy New Year! It’s that time again;
another year has come and gone, and
a new one is upon us. Regardless of
what is happening in the economy, or what you
might see on the News, let us remember that it
is all a test of our faith, to gain experience and
grow spiritually. Without hard times, we would
never be able to recognize and appreciate the
good times.
It’s true that you don’t need to wait for the
start of a new year to make changes in your
life. You can do this at any point throughout
the year. Each day you wake up is a chance for
a new beginning. But people like to talk about
New Year’s Resolutions, and tend to make
them with hopes of changing something about
themselves. It’s a great concept, but the fact is
that people tend to make resolutions that are
just too hard to keep.
Our tendency is to take something to the
extreme. For example, you might say, “I will
exercise daily” or “I’m giving up sugar for
good”. We set ourselves up for failure! By
making statements that are almost impossible
to follow, we end up punishing ourselves for
not following through. Remember: everything
in moderation. It’s ok to take a day for yourself
once in a while or enjoy a special treat. These
are the simple things in life that will bring a
smile to your face and make it a little easier to
take on another day.
We asked Sylvia what she thinks of New
Year’s Resolutions and whether she was
making any for 2010. “No, you don’t keep
them and then you feel guilty. Just ask that
God’s love enlightens you!” Noble words.
However, we know that some of you will still
feel the need to make some resolutions this
year and we hope you exchange some of your
more extreme ones with our more attainable
suggestions below:
Be the kind of friend or family member
that you would appreciate having. Take
the time to express your concern and really
understand what others are saying. When
you ask a question, look them in the eye and
listen to their answer. No one likes talking
to someone while their attention is directed
somewhere else. Put down your cell phone,
computer, newspaper, or whatever…and give
your attention to something more meaningful.
Give yourself the gift of time. You are
constantly taking care of things for family,
friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. Who is

doing this for you? You’re so good at giving
your time to everyone else around you, take
some of it for yourself! Schedule time for a
hobby or activity you enjoy; reading, praying,
meditating, a movie- anything! If your
physical and mental well-being are in tune,
you will be able to continue giving to others.
Do something outside of your comfort
zone. We all tend to stick with things we
know. Familiar things make us feel cozy
and safe. But aren’t we here to learn and
experience new things? It’s ok to have a
preference for something, as long as we put in
an effort to try something new. You don’t have
to go skydiving or bungee jumping. Merely
engage in a project or task that you have never
had to handle before. Learn a few phrases in
a different language and say them to someone
who is fluent. Order something different when
you go to your favorite restaurant. Befriend
the elderly or someone from a different culture
than your own. You just don’t want to get
caught in too much of a routine or it will stunt

you can scream and argue about this, but it’s absolutely true. This
is the endurance sign. If you notice, in any group there’s always

Sylvia Makes Friends at
The Jay Leno Show
On November 3rd, 2009 Sylvia made a guest appearance on The Jay Leno Show, dazzling those
around her with her amazing insight and fun-loving personality. Sylvia said she loved Jay and his
entire staff, particularly Bryan, who hosts "Backstage With Bryan", a video-blog that shows behind
the scene footage and guest interviews.
As part of a promotion for the movie Paranormal Activity, stars Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat
had to earn the right to plug their movie. What better way to earn your plug than surprise Jay with
none other than Paranormal Pioneer Sylvia Browne! Sylvia gave a brief psychic reading for Jay,
warning him of the rich foods he eats. She also informed him that his next exotic car purchase will
be a Bugatti and that his show will go "on and on and on, until we're just all half dead." To which
Jay replied, "So that could be the end of the week!"
Another exciting thing that happened was that while Sylvia was getting her hair made up for the
show, the hairdresser at Jay's studio explained that he had lost an envelope containing $3,000 dollars
in his own house. Apparently, he had hidden it and could not remember where he put it. He asked
Sylvia where it could be and immediately she told him that it was in a red book.
When he got home, he went to the one red book he had in his collection, and the envelope was right
next to the red book!

The Spirit Guides Speak
On Racial Prejudice
Sylvia shares wisdom to help you on your daily path toward spirituality from her
beloved spirit guides Francine and Raheim.
Francine:
Please notice that most of what you think of
as "primitive" cultures were the most advanced
spiritually- the Aztecs, Native Americans,
Africans, and certain aspects of the Viking
and early Celtic cultures. I'm saying this
solely because it's absolutely true. Primitive
is simplistic, close to God, shamanistic.
Aborigines, of course, have kept their culture,
their dream-times, medicine men, and magic.
They still know how to walk with God.
We find that only in your culture, primarily
on the North American continent, does this
kind of strangeness occur, where people have
such a division of color. We've never been able
to understand that at all. It is ridiculous. You
will find that the more spiritual you become,
the more primitive your soul becomes again.
It loses those outer layers of the superficial
culture, and goes back to the earth, the ground,
the leaves, the herbs, the holistic.
Raheim:
Racial prejudice is the handmaiden of souldark entities. Until we form a brotherhood,
loving each other for who we are, there will
never be peace in the world. We must cross
those racial barriers and fight against the
darkness that preaches, "We must keep our
race pure; we must keep our species pure." The
heart knows who it wants to love.
What your message should be is that you
accept all races into your heart- and you can’t
say, “I believe that other races are good, but I
don’t want my family to have anything to do
with them.” That’s prejudicial. You’re now
putting conditions on love. When the world
understands this, then the brutality stops. What
is so ironic is that everyone has been every race
and creed in past lifetimes. Do you think that
because you’re now a certain race, you haven’t
been black or yellow or red before? Of course
you have.

dream that I am being operated on in the back
of a grungy clothing factory. It appears to be
from the 1940s. Any insight?
Yes, it was an abortion. But ask the Holy Spirit to

Give to others. You don’t have to have a lot of money, or any money for that
matter, to bring a smile to someone’s face. Clean out your old closets and
drawers and give things away that you haven’t used in years. No, you will
not need them later. If you needed them, they wouldn’t be covered in a twoinch layer of dust! How much do we really need? Remember that a smile,
compliment, or respect toward others doesn’t cost a thing. Make an effort to
boost someone’s self confidence, even if it is someone that you don’t know.
A compliment is often more meaningful if it comes from a stranger.
Be comfortable in your own skin. None of us are perfect. We have all
wished that we could change something about the way we look. But one
thing that age has given us is the knowledge that inner beauty is far more
important than outer beauty. Who cares what other people think? If you are
truly making an effort to take care of yourself, and your intentions are pure,
then be happy with yourself. You are a part of God. You were made in the
image of God. When you look in the mirror, remind yourself that you would
never judge God the way you sometimes judge yourself.
Prioritize and simplify. Aren’t you tired of being pulled in a hundred
different directions? Now is the perfect time to take an inventory of things
going on in your life. What sort of things do you want to focus on this year?
What is currently going on that will detract from those things? Get yourself
organized and make a list. From there, you will be able to do some serious
editing. Whether you are adding or erasing, it’s amazing how much clearer
things become when you write them down.

Q. What is your biggest fear? Do you think you will be able to overcome
it through your line of work?
My biggest fear was getting lost. I literally did not drive out of my
hometown of Tracy, CA. Campbell is about 64 miles from Tracy, so I had
a dilemma! I found out from Francine, Sylvia’s Spirit Guide, that I had
died in a desert. I led a sheltered life and craved adventure so I decided to
leave our compound in the middle of the night. I apparently packed light
not realizing how far I had to travel and died of exposure.
When I got lost in this life, I actually felt like I was going to die (serious
panic attack) and could picture the buzzards circling.
Really, I could! By attending Sylvia’s hypnosis classes, trance sessions,
and learning the philosophy, I was able to understand the fear and release
that negative cell memory to the extent that I am able to drive back and
forth to the Campbell office. It would have been great to have a GPS system
back then, but it’s empowering to conquer one’s fears and phobia’s utilizing
Sylvia’s spiritual tools and your own inner strength. One of the things I
really love and admire about Sylvia is that she not only helps you, but also
teaches you how to help yourself.

Past Lives Future Healing - For obvious reasons this is one of my favorites!
I love the healing that past life regressions offers. This book is a must read
in our Sylvia Browne Hypnosis Training Certification class.
Psychic Healing - Everything you want to know about healing and cell
memory using Sylvia Browne's techniques and spiritual tools. SBHTC uses
the information in this book in our Hypnosis Training as well.
Accepting the Psychic Torch - I love, love, love this book! Sylvia

Q. Traveling through tunnels makes
me extremely nervous and causes a
“crippling” effect, where I feel so much
anxiety that I can’t handle it. Is this caused
from a past life experience?
Yes, a life in Turkey when a cave collapsed on you. Ask God to remove
it.
Q. You have talked about Michael Jackson being a Mystical Traveler
and said that he had a concert on The Other Side. Wouldn’t this imply
that he was innocent in the molestation accusations?
Of course he was innocent. He didn't have any molestation with kids.
He was like a kid himself.
Q. I’ve heard people identify themselves as a “sensitive”. What
exactly does this mean and does it differ from being a psychic or an
intuitive?
A sensitive is just what it implies, someone who is sensitive to their
environment. But unlike psychics, they can’t identify specifics.
Q. My friends and I have noticed a significant increase in thyroid
conditions within the past few years. Do you think it’s being caused by
chemicals in processed food or other environmental factors?
No, we don’t have an increase in thyroid conditions. We have always
had it, but we weren’t sophisticated enough to check it as effectively.
Now we are, and it is a major glandular problem.
Q. Sadly, I have had numerous miscarriages and tubal pregnancies.
What kinds of lessons are there to be learned by this and is it also a
lesson for the soul of the baby?
No, it’s your lesson alone. I had 4 miscarriages before my oldest son
was born and 3 before my youngest son, Chris. It was my trial to gain
more spirituality. The soul of the miscarried embryo doesn’t even enter.
Q. While working with so many people, have you noticed certain life
themes that are more prevalent than others? If so, which ones are the
most and the least common?
Humanitarian and Rescuer seem to be the most prevalent themes. That
shows a growth in spirituality.
Q. I have been curious about this for a long time now. How is it
possible to have free will when everything is predetermined in
our charts? Would it still be considered free will if we are merely
following what we’re intended to do?
Yes, we think it’s free will here, but because we chose our chart on the
Other Side, the true free will operated there. Then you came here to

Q. I know nutrition is important, but do you think people go
overboard counting calories nowadays? I grew up on bread, butter,
and whole milk and I’m fine!
Some do go overboard, but you should stay off those things and get on
a protein regimen. You might be fine now, but not in the long run.
Q. Ever since my mother died, I have started feeling what others
feel-even to the extent of physical illnesses. Could my mother have left
me with a gift?
Yes, but I think you always had it. After your mother left, you opened
up more.
Q. Do Glucosamine and Chondroitin really restore cartilage in
our joints? Or is it best to wait until stem cell injections are made
available?
These are alright, but personally I feel that two capsules of Calcium and
Vitamin D at night is just as effective.

Q. I believe in the power of prayer. But if everything has already
been charted before we come to Earth, how does prayer really make a
difference? What is supposed to happen will happen anyway, right?
Yes, but prayer lifts your spirit to God and even though your chart is
written, it takes the “edge” off of it.

Q. I want to know more about the Bible but it’s so confusing to me. Is
there a certain version that you recommend?
Yes, I recommend the Bible according to Lamsa. You can get it through
Harper Collins.
Q. I know in healing yourself and others, it’s best to shine your light
outward. Do you have any other “prescriptions” to heal a broken
heart and move on after a particularly hard break up?
I had two break-ups that were really hard. You have to just pray and
know that you are learning. Just get up and do what you normally do
and love will find you mid-year.
Q. While praying and meditating, I often see hieroglyphics, a
sarcophagus, and a queen sitting on a throne. Could this be from a
past life or am I dreaming?
Yes, it is from a past life during Ramses III period. You lived a life as
an attendant to the queen.
Q. What do you think will be the outcome of my daughter and
granddaughter’s 9 year struggle with my granddaughter’s “father”?
Your granddaughter’s father will eventually go away, but don’t talk to
him. Have a lawyer help you with the harassment. In 6 months, he gets
tired and goes on to someone else.
