Virginia Printer Offers Affordable Web-to-Print Posters on REVLAR Waterproof
Paper—Donates Profits to Charity
K.I.S.S. Printing (Keep It Simple…) is an easy-to-use Web-to-Print service with a conscience.
Armed with a great quality digital press and a top-notch fulfillment department, K.I.S.S. Printing
is providing a very affordable way for its customers to print color posters and documents, plus 50
percent of their profits go to charity. All a customer needs to do is upload their file, choose a size,
pick 1- or 2-sided, select their quantity and check out at only $0.10 per page.

“The original idea behind K.I.S.S. Printing was to offer a more affordable way to produce full color
copies,” said Daniel Hutton, vice president of K.I.S.S Printing. “I was astounded by the cost local
print shops and national office supply chains were charging for color copies and knew there was
a way to offer better pricing.”
After some web development and the acquisition of a high-speed digital press, K.I.S.S. Printing was
born. And, what better way to get noticed and retain customers, than giving away half your profit
to charity. In fact, K.I.S.S. Printing sees repeat business from over 50 percent of its customers
because of its quality, ease-of-use, and charitable donations.
“At least 50 percent of our profit goes to charity every month,” explained Hutton. “For the first
$20,000 of profit we bring in per month, 50 percent of it goes to our current charity. After that,
100 percent of the profit then goes to the charity for the remainder of the month.”

After a few months in business, Hutton began looking at other ways to promote K.I.S.S. Printing
and found a highly rated online site where visitors could create multi-page, giant block posters and
murals out of any image they upload. The site, rasterbator.net, gets over 4.1 million views a month.
As a result, Hutton chose to partner with the site that now enables visitors to create rasterized (pixel
and dot) posters online and have them printed by K.I.S.S Printing on Relyco’s REVLAR waterproof
paper.

“Through this partnership, our customers can create some unbelievable wall sized posters and
then print them on 13”x19” sheets of 5.7 mil REVLAR synthetic paper,” added Hutton. “The image
quality on the REVLAR is fantastic and it’s so durable that you can’t tear it and it outperforms the
elements – making it perfect for outdoor applications or where it just needs to last.”
When placing an order with K.I.S.S. Printing, most orders received before noon are processed same
day with customers choosing their own shipping method (average 3-4 day delivery using standard
postal mail). K.I.S.S. Printing uses a Ricoh C901 color production printer to fulfill all the online
orders on which Relyco’s REVLAR runs flawlessly with great image quality.
“We see customers select the REVLAR waterproof paper option about 45 percent of the time when
they choose to print a poster,” stated Hutton. “While that option may cost a little bit more, our
customers are impressed with the final output as images pop with unbelievable toner adhesion.”
One other source of business for K.I.S.S. Printing comes from Ricoh. Ricoh sales reps often use
the site to produce sales tools and samples. Hutton explained that it’s an easy way for a Ricoh rep
to place an order for what they need to showcase the C901 and its capabilities.
K.I.S.S. Printing plans to do more special promotions during the year where all profits will go to a
particular charity. There are also plans to eventually allow customers to pick a charity where they
would like their donations to go. Currently, K.I.S.S. Printing is supporting the Richmond (Virginia)
SPCA. Hutton also mentioned they may add more Relyco substrate products as K.I.S.S. Printing
grows.
