Before we begin, I would like to thank all of my local Jacksonville, Florida students
who showed up for our first school dinner of the New Year at Golden Corral on
February 26th . It was a great time to bond with all of you as we shared fellowship
with one another. Special thanks to my student, Shihan Chris Marquez & his Wife,
Jill of MARQUEZ MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY for securing the private room for
all of us. We will do this again, later in the year with your choice of where to eat.
Please remember that if you choose Chinese or Japanese food, you will get extra
consideration for your next belt level ( just joking of course LOL).
As we mentioned in a previous newsletter, the National Sport Karate Museum of
Webster, Texas currently has my green gi on display in the museum…..In the latest
twist from Professor Gary Lee who founded the museum, he has added my persona
to a new “Karatoon” (the word is a combination of the word “Karate” & “cartoon”
coined by the Professor) series in conjunction with Artist, Don Castillo called “The
Karate Whisperer”. The series stars Professor Lee in a series of mis-adventures as
the “Karate Whisperer” along with his faithful dog, Boo. I play the part of “Master
Green-San”, the only JuJitsu stylist in a group of happy go-lucky Karateka.

Shihan Chris Marquez & myself also taped a small “teaser” on San-Jitsu techniques
for GM Michael DePasquale’s worldwide website which will also feature an on-line
version of DePasquale’s now defunct, “KARATE INTERNATIONAL”
MAGAZINE which was one of the first full color publications on the martial arts.
Our San-Jitsu will be featured along with GM DePasquale’s inherited Yoshitsune
JuJitsu System & videos by world karate champion kicker, GM Bill Wallace,
Shihan Greg Duncan who is the inheritor of GM Ronald Duncan’s “Way of the
Wind” Nin-Jutsu and GM Felix Vazquez’s “Circle of One” Nin-Jutsu. Once we are

GM Brian Kula Fung’s OHANA 8 MO’O Island
martial arts organization chose to honor me as
the first “Golden Ali’i Warrior” for this
prestigious group of island martial arts warriors.
Humbled to be given this distinction.
I am also honored to have been chosen to
participate in his video series “SIX QUESTIONS
WITH A MARTIAL ARTS LEGEND” which
will take place at the National Sport Karate
Museum Event in early October in Texas.

Our heart felt condolences go out to Master
Guy Larke, our San-Jitsu Representative in
South Korea who recently lost his Father.

still there in spirit watching over you…..
Master Larke wrote an article on me which
recently appeared in the Malaysian martial
arts publication, Seni Beladiri . He is also
going to be moving to Malaysia after being
notified by the Publisher that he is now an
Associate Editor for the magazine!

America’s first and foremost worldwide Grandmasters/Masters council! Now that we have finalized the details of the

The 2015 event will take place on Friday, Sept. 4th and Saturday, Sept. 5th (Labor Day Weekend) at the DoubleTree by
Hilton hotel in beautiful and inviting Omaha, Nebraska. A complimentary shuttle will be available to transport you
