I. Introduction
Firstly, I would like to thank you for purchasing my guide from hiddenstuff.com! I have been asked by
hundreds of WoW players what the easiest and most effective way to make gold is. I was asked so often that I decided
to write an entire guide off of it! Now you can start reading this guide and learn how you too can make 188k gold as
quickly and easily as I did! I am here to teach you about the methods I used to make thousands of gold in World of
Warcraft!
As a seasoned WoW veteran I use the Auction house several times a day. This gains me around 500 gold in
profit. What is great about it is it only takes about 30 minutes a day but generates a TON of profit! What’s also great
about this method is it leaves plenty of time for gold making using other methods as well. After using this simple
method I logon to WoW and start making real gold using the method I describe in the pages to follow.
When making gold in WoW it is best to focus on rare mobs as they tend to drop the best loot compared to other
mobs. I will get into the aspect of rare mobs and let you know the best ones to farm later in this guide. But for now,
keep this in mind during your daily travels in the game. Additionally, I will also show you the best rare monsters to
farm loot and gold from and where to locate them.
Also, it is best not to forget that professions are the cornerstone to making gold in World of Warcraft. I have
covered this aspect for you guys later in the guide so that you can get a good idea of some of the most lucrative
professions and practices that will have you making thousands of gold in World of Warcraft!
Another great location that I hit frequently to make gold is the Outlands. This location is perhaps one of the
most lucrative in the entire game! Rest assured, I will show you some of the best and most profitable recipes and items
to gather from there as well as the best instances and quests which will have you making more gold than you could
ever imagine!
These are some of the methods I've been performing in the past months and I now have over 188k gold total
and I have no idea what to do with all that gold!
Thanks again and best of luck!

II. The WoW Economy
Before we go any further it is a good idea to gain a basic understanding of how the World of Warcraft Economy
works. With this basic knowledge you can begin to formulate new ideas to make gold! Who knows, some might even be
better than these (but probably not )… Soooo here goes!
So what type of economy you say? Well from the start WoW has been a free market economy, and what’s great
about this system is it’s a game! So that means limits have been put in place to insure that people don’t get stabbed in
the back or robbed of their hard earned riches. While you might decide to beg or trade for your goods most people
prefer to complete their transaction through the driving force behind the WoW economy, The Auction House. It’s easy,
convenient, open 24/7, and charges fairly low tax for the items you sell. Of course, the auction house is not the only
way to make money. Other methods include simply grinding, running instances, street vending, and many others.
In addition, monopolies and cartels are illegal in most countries but they are perfectly acceptable in World of
Warcraft. That’s because World of Warcraft is designed in such a way that monopolies and cartels will actually help the
economy! Driving up prices stimulates economic growth and allows all players, not just you, the opportunity to make
more money. Who says crime and unfair business practice does pay?  It does in WoW!
It is also important to keep in mind the prices of goods on each server. Unfortunately the prices of items and
their rarity/demand differs from server to server (they really can’t make it easy can they!). So keep in mind that you
can’t simply take a look at the average prices posted on websites. Instead, look for the prices specific to your server to
determine what items to make and farm.
III. General Tips
I want to start first by offering some general tips and tricks which will allow you to make gold more efficiently,
easily, and effectively. This section will outline some small steps you can take right from the start, to get your World of
Warcraft character out on the right foot. While you don’t need to follow all of these steps it is recommended that you at
least take them into consideration and in mind when you are playing the game.
- Get the Auctioneer addon! This program is great and will help maximize your returns at the auction house if you learn
how to use it (visit the forums on their webpage). You can download it by CLICKING HERE.
- Learn how to use macros. Not only do they make the game easier for you but they allow you to be more efficient in
your activities. This means that you can quest, farm, level, and grind faster!
- If you want to gain lots of money starting from the beginning, you should choose mining and skinning as your
professions. If you want to make money later in the game fishing is your best bet as you won't make much use out of it
until you have around 150+ fishing skill. While fishing may be boring it pays!
- Do every possible quest you can. Questing is not only the best way to level, but it is also a good way to make money
and gain items. Especially early in the game.
- Learn to use the auction house. The AH can make you some serious gold regardless of if you are dealing in potions,
epic weapons, or reagents. Learning to use it can be tricky and take some time but it pays off well when a hot item
comes into demand!
- Do not buy any items/equips for your character until you are over level 15. You don’t need them and quests will
provide you with good enough items to survive off of early in the game. Don’t waste your time and money!
- Buy your backpacks as early as possible! And remember, the biggest is the best! The more items you can hold the
more money you stand to make.
- Consider having multiple characters on the same server (an alternative character). Create a character that you don’t
play much and station him/her in a capital city. This can be helpful if you have extra materials that can be processed
and resold. Simply send them to your ALT to process and then send them back to your main character.
- Do not take Engineering or Blacksmithing as your professions.
- Pick up every single item you find. Sell grey items to vendors and sell white trade goods, greens, and blues in the
auction house.
- Buy and find limited recipes. Most recipes can be bought from a specific vendor however some can only be bought
once or maybe twice from a vendor in a certain time frame. These recipes with limited availability usually sell very
well.
- If you hold shift button while looting, you save a few seconds. It all adds up!
- When you sell stuff in the auction house always put a buyout price on your items. This will help you sell them faster.
Also, make sure to set the buyout price slightly lower than what others are selling it for.
- Fight mobs that are 1-4 levels below you. The faster you kill mobs, the more money you will gain and the more items
you will get!
- Get a mount as soon as possible. This should be your main focus. The faster you can travel, the more money you can
make.
- If possible, try to level your character by killing beasts and humanoids. If you are a skinner, you can skin the beasts
you have slain. And humanoids will drop coins every time.
- Look out for neutral auction houses. With a little patience you can make good money selling recipes, pets, and items
through them.
- Get WoW addons. There are programs out there that can interact with your World of Warcraft game and assist you in
various tasks ranging from quests, coordinates, item locations, and much more! Visit Curse.com to browse some!
- True money making starts after level 10! So do not waste your time by farming things when you are below 10. You
want to level up to 10 as soon as possible. However, you will also gain lots of money even at level 1 if you choose
mining and skinning as a profession.
IV. Professions
Engineering/LeatherworkingSome of the stuff you make can be great to sell, but most of the stuff is just junk and sells for little to nothing
on the market. However, there are a few good items out there which yield nice profits. A list of items you can make as
an engineer is available HERE. For Engineering it is best to focus on making rifles, especially the dark iron rifle as it
sells for the most gold out of any rifle. The rifle sells for a nice 55 gold (CLICK HERE for most recent price) For more
information on the Dark Iron Rifle CLICK HERE. That’s about all you can sell… As for Leatherworking, Cobrascale Hood
can rack in a fortune selling for about 950 gold each! (CLICK HERE for most recent price)
Primal AirAnother great strategy for making gold using the engineering profession is to farm Primal Air in Nagrand. All
you need is a Zapthrottle Mote Extractor, a goggle that can let you see and track Windy Clouds, an Epic Flying
Mount, and have Find Minerals active.
Each Windy Cloud will have two to six Motes of Air in it, and there are plenty of mining (and herb) nodes on the
way. In one hour on an Epic Flying Mount and with Mining, you can expect to get something like below.
Primal Air x11 = 308 gold
Primal Earth x3 = 9 gold
Adamantite Ore x75 = 90 gold
Khorium Ore x10 = 15 gold
The map above gives you a good path to follow when farming from these windy clouds and is where most of them are
available so that you can optimize your gold making. The red dots represent where windy clouds are most often
found however, these locations have been known to change.
*More information on Engineering can be found HERE.
*More information on Leatherworking can be found HERE.
HerbalismHerbalism is a great money making profession as well. Like Mining, herbalism requires a tracking skill. This
skill lets you see what herbs are on the mini map. Herbalism can start at any level and Taurens have that extra 15+
herbalism boost so if you are considering this profession you might want to pick this character class.
Black LotusThe best money making herb is black lotus which auctions for about 12 gold each (CLICK HERE for most recent
price) because of its rarity. All in all the item is fairly difficult to find however, it sells for more than most
plants do, so it’s well worth the effort when you do manage to find it.
Map of Black Lotus Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
All locations are possible culprits for Black Lotus. It has also been rumored that Alterac Valley also has a good
amount of these however, this has yet to be confirmed.
FadeleafAnother good item that is fairly common is fadeleaf which sells at the auction house for about 4 silver (CLICK
HERE for most recent price). This item is required by Rogues to Vanish and Blind so its demand remains
relatively good. All in all this profession is a great gold maker and even better if you pair it up with the
Alchemy profession.
Map of fadeleaf Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
The above locations are great for finding fadeleaf. You shouldn’t have any trouble spotting it as its fairly common.
Another common location to find this herb is in the Scarlet Monastery although no exact locations are available.
StranglekelpAnother excellent farming strategy is to farm stranglekelp. Farming stranglekelp is very easy to do and a good
way to make gold as a lower level character. What makes this strategy even better is that you only need a skill
level of 85 to collect this item. One of the best locations for collecting this herb is in the wetlands and another
is in Ashevale, along the Zoram Strand zone. You should have no problem collecting lots of stranglekelp in
these locations due to their quick re-spawn rate. By the time you make it back down the coasts there should be
more of it waiting for you to collect! You should expect to collect about 2.5 gold per stack and as a level ~20
character that should equate to about 10 gold per hour. Not half bad if you ask me!
Map of stranglekelp Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
These locations are ideal for farming stranglekelp. Simply work your way up and down the coasts making sure to
avoid the mobs (they are pretty easy to dodge) and you should be making tons of gold in no time!
GromsbloodThis is yet another good gold making strategy which will only require 30-45 minutes of your time to do! The
name of the game is gromsblood and it sells anywhere from 1-4 gold a piece (CLICK HERE for most recent price)
at the auction house! Desolace is probably the best location to farm this item. Either start Mannoroc Coven or
the pool to the right of it. Once you have collected all of the Gromsblood in the area you can logout for 15
minutes. When you log back in presto! The Gromsblood will have re-spawned for you!
Map of Gromsblood Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Simple circle around Mannoroc Coven collecting all the nodes of Gromsblood, logout, and then do it over again! You
will be making tons of gold in no time!
*More information on Herbalism can be found HERE.
TailoringClothsThis profession can really come in handy and works even better if paired with Enchanting. You can easily make
level 65+ blue items to disenchant for shards. Another great way to make money with Tailoring is selling
spellcloth or shadowcloth, keep in mind you can make 2 every 4 days at an altar/moonwell/netherstorm
location. Shadowcloth components include: 1x Primal Fire, 1x Primal Shadow, and 1x
Bolt of Imbued Netherweave with a 92 hour cooldown. Spellcloth components include: 1x
Bolt of Imbued Netherweave, 1x Primal Mana, and 1x Primal Fire. Keep in mind that each component is made
at the Altar of Shadows. The Altar of Shadows is in southeast Shadowmoon Valley opposite Netherwing Ledge.
We have included a map below.
Map of The Altar of Shadows Location: (Click on picture for full zone map)
The red dot on this map represents the location of The Altar of Shadows.
BagsAnother awesome way to make some cash is selling your bags. People will kill for 18 slot bags when they hit
70, so they’re very high demand. I have sold about 40 Imbued Netherweave Bags in the auction house and
turned a profit of about 900 gold, all in one day! Keep in mind this item requires:
4x Bolt of Imbued Netherweave, 2x Netherweb Spider Silk, and 1x Greater Planar Essence.
*Look HERE for a list of other bags you can create and make a profit off of using tailoring.
Shirts-
Dark Silk shirts sell anywhere from 1-2 gold in the auction house (CLICK HERE for most recent price). To make
sure they sell you can list them with a buyout of slightly less than what everyone else is getting for them. You
will need a skill level of 155 and the following components: 2x Bolt of Silk Cloth, 2x Gray Dye, and
1x Fine Thread. Another option is to make and sell the Rich Purple Shirt. This item is classified as a rare blue
pattern but sells really well for what it is. The average price to range anywhere upwards of 5 gold! (CLICK HERE
for most recent price) This item requires a skill level of 185 and the following components: 4x Bolt of Silk Cloth,
1x Purple Dye, and 1x Silken Thread.
Other ItemsI recommend that you don’t bother selling the higher level items. Most high level characters have run enough
instances that they have good items already and have no need for any higher level tailored ones. A level 45
green item can cost upwards of 12g to make (ex- frostweave items). No one is going to be spending that much
gold for a green item. So you can see why I would stay away from this aspect!
*More information on Tailoring can be found HERE.
SkinningSkinning doesn’t really get you anywhere at low levels however, it is excellent at higher levels. In addition,
skinning is probably the most convenient gold making profession. You just skin the mobs that you have already killed
so you don’t really have to go out of your way and the process only takes a few seconds. At level 40 you can expect to
make 100 gold an hour just from simply skinning creatures in zones such as Tanaris. Getting 1000 Heavy Leather each
hour is not unheard of either! Skinning really picks up at level 50-60, when you start getting rugged leather, warbear
leather, and core leather. Levels 60-70 will yield the best outcome obviously. I would suggest this profession to
someone who just grinds all the time! You’ll do a lot of Skinning if all you’re doing is grinding. It’s also one of the
easiest professions to level up depending on who you ask .
One way to power level this is to skin monsters that are skinnable (beasts). When you get a stack of skins you
can sell them at the auction house. Remember to check their current price first though! The best way is to wait until
your inventory is full and then visit a vendor or the auction house. Below is a list of items, the level of the beasts you
will get them off of, and the price they go for.

Here are some good locations for skinning arranged by increasing skinning level and beast level. These locations will
allow you to level quickly as well as make some serious cash doing so!
Zhevra Leather- This stuff is a really low drop rate and it might be off a low level mob, but it really saves level
60+ a lot of time to buy these in the auction house instead of gathering them by themselves. For that reason
its not uncommon to see these sell for about 3 to 4 gold! And if you put them up for a few silver, they always
sell in a matter of minutes. You want to get this item mostly off of the level 20-21 Zhevra Courser because it has
a 14.1% drop rate (The highest of the Zhevra’s) to drop this item.
Map of The Zhevra Courser Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Heavy Leather- This item usually sells for about 6 silver and is a good way to make profit off of by selling it at
the auction house. Jungle Thunderer’s near (42, 27) in STV nearly always drop this when skinned, so they are
an excellent candidate for skinning. Also, their re-spawn rate is excellent not to mention that there are plenty
of them in the area to go around! They are by far the best mobs to grind when you are level 36-39. They drop
greens rather frequently as well. Plus you can also make good money off of the Coarse Gorilla Hair that keeps
dropping. You can get about 60 gold per stack off of this item alone, not to mention the money you make off of
the heavy leather.
Map of The Jungle Thunderer Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Devilsaur Leather- This particular item sells great at the auction house. One stack will make you as much as 50
gold however, you need to be a higher level character (Around 55 to solo this easily) to be successful. You can
get this leather from any of the three types of devilsaurs found there however, it is good to keep in mind that
the easiest ones to solo are the Ironhide Devilsaurs, because they don’t use any knockback or fear techniques.
Also, make sure to clear any surrounding mobs first as they can be one of the hardest obstacles to overcome.
Also, to skin all three devilsaurs you will need to have at least a 275 skinning skill level. You will find these
guys most often just west of the ridge in Un'Goro Crater.
Map of The Devilsaur Farming Routes: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Hellfire Peninsula- This location is another great place for skinning. The creature which is the best for skinning
in this location is the Quillfang Ravager where you can skin both Crystal Infused Leather and Fel Scales. With
each of these items you can expect to bring in about 60+ gold for a stack of fel scales (CLICK HERE for most
recent price) and about 9 gold for a stack of crystal infused leather (CLICK HERE for most recent price)
Map of Quillfang Ravager Farming Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Blade's Edge Mountains- This location is ideal for gathering Knothide Leather and Wind Scales from the
Scalewing Serpent’s found there. The Wind Scales are what you want to really focus on here because they can
bring in as much as 230+ gold per stack! (CLICK HERE for most recent price) The drop for this particular item
seems to be about 20% depending on the type of character you are.
Map of Scalewing Serpent Farming Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Shadowmoon Valley - This location is ideal for gathering Cobra Scales from the Coilskar Cobra there. This item
can sell for a whopping 600 gold per stack! (CLICK HERE for most recent price) Another location that you can
farm these scales from is in Nagrand however, the drop rate for cobra scales has been nerfed there (to
about .5%) so shadowmoon is your best bet.
Map of Coilskar Cobra Farming Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
In general, there is a nice and steady demand for skins because it is used by several professions.
Leatherworking obviously requires a lot of skins, but also Tailoring and Blacksmithing. You will find that when you
reach higher levels this profession is sure to bring in the most gold!
*More information on Skinning can be found HERE.
MiningMining is one of the best money making Professions out there. You can start as low as level 10! Copper Bars sell
for much more than they’re supposed to.. 1-3 gold on many servers, so a level 10 could easily just farm copper veins all
day and make a profit of 300 gold per day. I made 600g in 1 day off of my level 10 Warrior in 1 day with mining. I
played for 14 hours and did nothing but mine! It was awesome gold for a level 10. It basically kept me prepped to level
58 when I was level 10 and I never had to farm again!
There are two main ways to make lots of gold while farming. One is to Gather ore from deposits and sell the ore
at the Auction House and another is to use smelting to perform ore transmutations. Most of the money from mining
comes from gathering ore using mining routes and then selling them at the auction house. Because smelting is not
really that profitable and just kind of a pain, I won’t be covering it in this section. However, if you are interested you
can find more information on smelting by CLICKING HERE (for complete item transmutation list) and HERE (for basic
information regarding smelting).
TipYou can find mining veins near mountains and stones so you should circle around the borders of maps.

the best to focus on for farming is.
Low Level Ore Farming-
For low level characters the best place to farm Copper Ore, Tin Ore, and Silver Ore The Barrens is the best
location. You should stay in this region until your mining skill level reaches 125 which is enough to start
farming iron ore.
Map of Copper, Tin, and Silver Ore Farming Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Mid Level Ore FarmingIron Ore is what you want to be focusing on farming once your skill reaches 125. The Arathi Highlands is
simply loaded with ore and has the most out of all the zones in the game. So farming this location for profit is
your best bet! Refuge Point is a good location here. All you have to do is simply start near the mountains at any
point and follow them clockwise. Killing creeps and entering some of the caves along the way is also a good
idea and will leave you with some extra lewt besides just ore.
Map of Refuge Pointe Iron Ore Farming Route: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Once you reach a skill level of 175 you are now ready to profit from mining Mithril Ore in The Badlands. A good
thing about this location is that it is very easy to travel around in. You can make well over 2 complete rounds
of mining in less than 1 hour! Make sure to visit all of the caves in the area as they are full of ore!
High Level Ore FarmingThorium Ore is where you can really start making gold. You can do this when your mining skill level for Jewel
Crafting hits 250. The best place to mine this is The Eastern Plaguelands I usually use the route posted below,
Map of Eastern Plaguelands Thorium Farming Route: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Another useful location for farming Thorium is The Un’Goro Crater. I have found the most consistent source of
Thorium to be here. There are 3 veins to be found inside the cave with the apes at the north end. There are also
2 that can be found in the volcano area in the center which includes a rich thorium vein. There are also a few
in the surrounding mountains near the west border. In the west there is also one in Terror Run. Then there are
usually a few in the Slithering Scar just south of the center. Also, there is also a mithril vein by the waterfall in
the Hot Springs area.
Map of Mithril Ore Farming Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Fel Iron Ore requires a jewel crafting level of 275 or higher. The best location to mine this is in Hellfire
Peninsula. The only problem in this zone is that you are going to have a lot of trouble facing the mobs without
a flying mount. However, if you have been using this gold strategy guide since the start then you should
already have your mount by now! Other items in this zone you can expect to find are Motes of Fire, Motes of
Earth, and Khorium Ore!
Map of Fel Iron Ore Farming Route: (Click on picture for full zone map)
The above map shows the optimal route to take when mining ore in this region. The “x” represents your
starting point and your run ends when the blue line stops. The red dots on the map represent the ore locations.
This route is based on foot assuming that you don’t yet have a flying mount.
For even higher level ores such as Adamantite Ore (one of the best places to find it) and Khorium Ore a good
location is Netherstorm where you can rack up 100 gold or more per hour! You will need a flying mount and if
you don’t have one I would recommend farming in Nagrand instead. Within 1 hour you will be able to make
about 3 zone cycles with an epic flying mount.

Mining SpotsThis chart below will tell you the locations of where each mineral is available as well as the mining skill level
required. This chart is good for helping you decide which ore you are able to mine at your current level and

Companion ProfessionsIf you want you can save gold by gathering your own ore then Mining is a good choice to accompany
Blacksmithing, Engineering, or Jewel Crafting. Jewel Crafting offers the additional benefit of prospecting the
ore you collect which gives you new ore transmutations. Herbalism also makes a good profession to pair it with
because if you are looking for ore deposits you can also pickup any plants you encounter as well. The only
problem with this is that you can only have one tracking ability active at once. Other players choose Skinning
instead of Herbalism as a companion profession to Mining as well.
*More information on Mining can be found HERE.
FishingI have outlined some good fishing strategies in the section below “Low Level Gold Strategies”. So if your
character is anywhere between level 10 and 20 you might want to look there first. Otherwise, come read on while I give
you some great tips for making money with a fishing profession!
Leveling fishing is probably one of the easiest professions to level. Fishing in any type of water, low level or
higher level waters will get you skill ups regardless. This profession is exactly like weapon skills if you’re at 299
weapon skills and your killing a bunch of level 8's you will still get your weapon skill up eventually. The same rules
apply for the fishing profession. Here is how you can level your skill.
Fishing 1-75: Learned from trainer.
Fishing 75-150: Learned from trainer.
Fishing 150-225: You will need to get and read the Expert Fishing Book that you can buy from Old Man Heming in
Booty Bay. You will find him inside Booty Bay on the southern portion of the docks on the lower level.
Fishing 225-300: At level 225 you will have to go to the islands in Dustwallow Marsh and Find Nat Pagle to get a quest
from him to catch 4 rare fish. Upon Completion of this quest, Nat Pagle will give you Master Fishing skill raising your
cap to 300.
Fishing 300-375: You will need to go grab the Artisan Fishing Book which is obtained from the fisherman Juno Dufrain
at the Cenarion Expedition in Zangarmarsh in the Outlands.
Fishing ItemsThere are items you can quest for or purchase to improve your fishing skill. With these items you will catch
more fish.

Fishing for PearlsOne of the best strategies for making gold at higher levels is to fish for pearls. The most profitable pearls you
can look for are Golden Pearls and Black Pearls which sell for several gold each once you find them after
opening up several clams. One of the best locations to farm these pearls is Feralas. The great thing about this
location is you can either fish for them or get them as drops from mobs, or what the heck do both!
Map of Feralas Fishing Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Furious CrawdadFurious Crawdads are among some of the most profitable items you can get from fishing and are found within a
Highland Mixed School. A single one will go for about 2 gold at the auction house. Keep in mind that gathering
this item will require the following:
- A flying mount or Druid flight ability. For non-Druids, this means you must have attained level 70. There is
no need for an epic flying mount, but this will help when fishing in competition with others.
- Fishing skill, poles, gear, and lures to reach at least a skill level of 405. However, keep in mind that 500
would be needed to stop fish from getting away.
Where can you find them? Blackwind Lake has 10 confirmed pool spawning locations (2 on the western side of
the island in the lake, 8 around the edge of the lake). Lake Ere'Noru above the Allerian Stronghold has 4
confirmed pool spawning locations. Lake Jorune which is above Stonebreaker Hold has 3 confirmed pool
spawning locations.
Map of Furious Crawdad Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Keep in mind that there are 17 pools between these three lakes. After each pool has been fished and emptied it
will re-spawn in about 1 hour average but could take up to 90 minutes. With a flying mount you should
expect to farm all 17 pools within 45 minutes providing that no one else is farming these at the same time.
Elemental Fishing-
There are around 6 pools of elemental water in the shores of Azshara. You will get lots of Elemental Waters and
Essence of Waters. There are only 6 spots and only 1 or 2 of them is visible at any given time. It is
recommended that you have over a 400 fishing skill to successfully fish these items. A maxed out fishing skill,
a 100 lure, and 35 from a fishing pole should be sufficient. Here are all the confirmed elemental pools in
Azshara.
Map of Azshara Fishing Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Pure Water Pool FishingIn Nagrand you will be fishing 3 different pool types. The Bluefish School, the Mudfish School, and Pure Water.
Here’s what you can expect to catch here.
Barbed Gill Trout = 54%
Icefin Bluefish = 23%
Figluster's Mudfish = 20%
Map of Nagrand Fishing Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
You will need to fish all three pool types to be successful at farming Mote of Water. Overall, Nagrand is only
good for catching Icefin Bluefish, Figluster's Mudfish, and Primal Water. Check out those 6 Pure Water pools up
in the water elemental area at Elemental Plateau. Each pool can drop up to 8 motes of water!

EnchantingSome tips for enchanting:
-Invest in bank space and big bags. Enchants requires a lot of reagents, so space is a must.
-Every item you get should be sent to your alt for disenchanting. If selling items is how you make your money
like me, then send items that will disenchant for useful reagents for higher grade enchants.
-Farm instances frequently Since you need an ample supply of reagents you will need a lot of items to
disenchant, so farming instances is a must.
Formula: Enchant Weapon – Crusader. This item still sells for 100 to as high as 275 gold! You will need a 300
enchanting skill level and this strategy should be attempted when you are around level 54-56 if you are
farming it. For more information on this enchant CLICK HERE.
Formula: Enchant Weapon – Demonslaying. This area is hardly ever farmed if farmed at all and this formula
sells for 20-28g and has a decent drop rate. Where you’re going is the southwestern part of Azshara and
farming Highborne Apparitions (16,70) and Highborne Lichlings (16, 68).

V. Low Level Gold Strategies
Grey ItemsBelieve it or not there are some grey items that are valuable. Here is a list of the low quality items that are used in
Darkmoon Faire quests. The higher the monster is in levels, the more chances it has to drop one of these items. But
note that for example, not all bears drop Torn Bear Pelts. For more info, check out allakhazam's item lookup.

FishingProfessions are a great way to make gold at a low level but, there are also many other ways for a lower level
character (lower than 20) to make gold. If you chose a fishing profession there are numerous ways to make lots of gold
off of this. Firstly, it is recommended that you get the fishing bot. This will be a big help in fishing, just leave it
running and you don’t have to sit there being bored. You can download by Clicking HERE. There are also some helpful
tutorials on Youtube that will aid you in setting up and using this bot. Click HERE to view them.
Okay! Now that you have the fishing bot figured out its time to catch some valuable lewt! The next few steps
will give you some easy to find and extremely profitable fishing locations as well as which fish you want to be on the
lookout for! And don’t worry about your fishing skill. Unlike other fishing spots these spots only require a low fishing
skill level. So you can still be successful even if you aren’t very skilled!
- For Alliance you can use the fishing bot to fish off the coast of Auberdine for Oily Blackmouths. Auberdine is a
night elf village located along the north western coastline of Kalimdor within the Darkshore zone. Typically this
zone is idea for level 10-20 characters and a great low level fishing spot! For more information on Auberdine
visit: http://www.goblinworkshop.com/areas/auberdine.html
Map of Auberdine Location: (Click on picture for full zone map)
The best location within Auberdine to fish is next to the NPC Gubber Blump located at the coordinate (35,46). When
fishing make sure to purchase a shiny bauble from Gubber for 45 copper. This item will increase your chance of
catching these Oily Blackmouths. More information on Gubber Blump can be found HERE. I used the bot for a day on a
Night Elf Shaman and got 40 stacks of Oily Blackmouths which I then sold for 500 gold! Firefin Snappers are also
another good catch in this location! Both will make you a good amount of gold!
- For Horde, we use a similar method and the fishing bot, but we use it in Wailing Caverns or the oasis outside
which has the highest drop rate of 14.68%. The entrance to this cavern is located at the coordinates (46,36).
For more information on the wailing caverns CLICK HERE. For a map of inside the Wailing Caverns CLICK HERE.
What you should focus on are Deviate Fish which happen to sell even better than Oily Blackmouths. In addition,
you are more likely to catch these faster than the Blackmouths!
Map of Wailing Caverns Location: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Light Feather Farming in The Barrens-
Another Horde or Alliance gold strategy that doesn’t require fishing is to farm Light Feathers off of Plainstriders
in The Barrens. This item drops very often and sells for about 2 gold a stack (depending on your server). While it might
be difficult to farm them with both The Horde and Alliance around it still makes you a good amount of cash! The recipe
for Savory Deviate Delight also has a high drop rate from these guys which can be sold for much more depending on
your server’s economy! So from these two items alone you can make allot of cash!
Map of Plainstrider locations in the Barrens: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Blood Elf Bandit MasksBlood Elf Bandit Masks are a great way to make gold right now! Alone, using this technique I made all the
money I needed for my mount in just 3.5 hours! This strategy requires farming Blood Elf Bandit Masks from the Blood
Elf Bandits in Azuremyst Isle. Because these units are stealth they can be hard to locate. When farming their items you
might want to create the following macro: "/target Blood Elf Bandit" and make sure to spam the macro near a spawn
point on the island. Keep in mind that these items have about a 3-14% drop chance which isn’t too darn bad if you ask
me! For more information on the Blood Elf Bandits CLICK HERE. This strategy is available to both Horde and Alliance
players however, for the Horde to access this location you would need to sneak onto the boat from Auberdine in
Darkshore to Valaar's Berth on Azuremyst Isle.
Map of Blood Elf Bandit Spawn Points: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Start your farming run by heading south and west from Exodar to spawn point #1. Visit each numbered spawn point
in order. Make the macro “/target Blood”, put the macro icon on your action bar, and spam it as you move through
each spawn point. The bandits will then appear on your targeting ready for you to kill! Unless there are others
farming the same route you can expect to make each run in about 15 minutes. Here are some exact locations to find
Blood Elf Bandits.
1. (27,51) Look at the pillar with a purple diamond on the top of it. A little to the right of the tree next to it is
where they will be.
2. (32,61) At any given location.
3. (35,65) Look at the white pillar with a blue orb on the top. The bandits will be on the right side of the road.
4. (33,71) Look at the purple bushes the bandits will be on the left side of the road near them.
5. (43,63) Loo at the purple bushes on the right side of the road. They will be hidden near or in these bushes.
6. (46,39) Look at the short white pillar with a purple diamond at the top. There will be purple bushes below they
will be on the left side of the road.
7. (50,29) Look at the broken white pillar surrounded by purple bushes. Going south, they will be on the right
side of the road.
8. (52,18) Look at the white pillar with a blue orb on the top surrounded by purple bushes. The bandits are found
on the left side of the road.
9. (37,21) Look at the tree with pink leaves. The bandits are found on the right side of the road near there.
10. (36,32) Look at the broken white pillar. They will be on the left side of the road.
Defias Trappers FarmingThis is another awesome spot for Alliance or Horde! The Defias Windmill in Westfall is literally lined with gold
and crawling with Defias Trappers. These guys have an extremely fast (the fastest re-spawn rate of any mob in the
game!) re-spawn rate so you won’t waste time waiting around. The coordinates to this location are 31,34. Linen Cloth
drops are a whopping 35% and the money you make off of it is excellent for your level! Along with some of the green
items and nets they drop, this is a must farm location for any character level 12-20. This spot can also be used to grind
for fast experience. What could be better than making tons of gold and gaining massive experience all in one? Nothing!!!
Besides maybe having Pamela Anderson as your girlfriend …
Map of Defias Trapper Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Here are some locations which you can use to farm linen cloth from Defias Trappers. Near the Defias Windmill is the
best location however, these other locations shown are quite useful as well. Explore them all to see which works best
for you!

Great MobsAngerclaw Maulers are a great source of money when you are level 48-53. Also it’s a big plus if you’re a skinner,
these guys have great vendor trash and are skinnable. They have decent green drop rates and re-spawn
extrememly fast. Killing this mob alone will make you about 50 gold an hour!
Map of Angerclaw Mauler Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Scalding Whelps (83, 33). The Badlands is the place to be at if you’re level 39-42, these guys are great for
grinding and even better for farming. Also, these creeps are a major plus if you’re a skinner. They also have a
chance of dropping Dark Whelpling which sell for upwards of 200+ gold! (CLICK HERE for most recent price)
Map of Scalding Whelp Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Blood Elves (55, 29) are an excellent mob to farm and are found Near the Legash Encampment in Azshara, there
are lots of Blood Elves in this location with an insane drop rate on Runecloth. Now on my server, Runecloth
goes for more than Netherweave, also they have really nice drop rate for blue and green items. Overall, an
excellent mob to farm!
Map of Blood Elf Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Anguished Highbornes (53, 43) are just southwest of Everlook and have a really nice drop rate for Runecloth
(23.6%), green items, and blue items, as well as a nice coin drop. Also every week, Princess Tempestria spawns
and she drops some rare loot that you can sell for hundreds of gold at the auction house!
Map of Anguished Highborne Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Cloths can be found in the northeastern part of Felwood (43, 14) you can find a lot of Hellcallers, Betrayers, and
Tricksters in this region. These guys don't drop a ton of great items but you will get a large amount of
Runecloth and Felcloth which sells for decent cash at the Auction House.
Map of Hellcaller, Betrayer, & Trickster Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Twilight Stonecallers (39, 44) and Twilight Avengers (38, 41) In Silithus are excellent mobs to farm. There are
2 encampments with tons of Twilight creeps there. These mobs have good coin drop, runecloth, lots of green
items, some blues, and the Hand of Edward. This is the best place to be at level ~57 if you want to farm.

VII. Uldaman Gold Making
This instance is famous for housing level ~45 elite bosses, some of which drop blue items. You can either
enter Uldaman through the front entrance or the back entrance. The front entrance around the Khaz Mountains located
in The Badlands. The back entrance is Just Across from the Angor Fortress in the same location.
BossesBy killing bosses within Uldaman you can gather some nice blue items which sell for good money at the auction
house. Below is a list of some bosses you will want to farm here.
Galgann Firehammer
Ironaya
Revelosh
Baelog, Olaf, & Eric “The Swift”
Grimlok
Map of Uldaman Boss Locations: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Map of Uldaman Front and Back Entrances: (Click on picture for full zone map)
ChestsChest 1- There are two chests in Uldaman that have a 100% spawn. The first chest spot is filled with silithid
non-elite at location #6 (refer to “Map of Uldaman Boss Locations” above). Once you have killed all of the
silithids there is a chest in a crevice near the wall and a Master Enchanter comes out of hiding. You will need
lockpicking to open this chest.
Picture of Uldaman Chest #1 Location: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Chest 2- Chest number 2 is a bit harder to get than the previous one and is in the room at the middle of the
instance at location #7 (refer to “Map of Uldaman Boss Locations” above). There is a Stone Steward who patrols
the room. He exits the room at both ends and he spends a much longer time at one end than the other. When
he is at the doorway of the west exit of the room distract him so that he stares into open space before
continuing to exit the room. As soon as you distract him start clearing the other creeps in the room. As soon as
you distract the Stone Steward take out the two Sculptors and then pull the rest of the Rocksmashers into a
corner of the room, when the Steward walks by he won't attack you. Take down the Rocksmashers one by one.
Once you kill them you will find that the chest is locked and requires a lock picking skill of about 200 to open.
Picture of Uldaman Chest #1 Location: (Click on picture for full zone map)
VIII. Un’Goro Gold Making
There is a gorilla cave (63, 16) in Un'goro that is a good location to farm and gain a large amount of experience
at level 50. Below are some items that you should be looking to farm.
Map of Un’Goro Gorilla Cave Location: (Click on picture for full zone map)
Skinning: If you are a skinner, then the gold you generate in this zone will double! The dinosaurs and gorillas are all
skinnable. This makes for 70% of the mobs that you kill to be skinnable. The gorillas are a gold mine in xp and in
leather. You can get Rugged Leather, Thick Leather, and Rugged Hide from them. These sell very easily in the auction
house.
Colored Power Crystals: Each stack of 10 can bring in about 50 silver to 3 gold and these items are free to take. These
are colored crystals placed around the crater that you simply open which means you hardly need to do any work at all!
Bloodpetal Sprouts: This is another item that is easy to obtain in Un'goro. These are sprouts placed around the map
that you simply open as well. After collecting 15 you turn them in at Marshal's Point for a repeatable quest that gives
you a crate that which is sellable for cash.
Un'goro Soil: There are mounds of dirt that you can find around the crater which are lootable. You can also get these
off of various monsters. These sell for about 1g per stack.
Herbs: Herbs are one of the best ways to make gold in Un’Goro. These items will drop from Tar Monsters in the area. I
have looted many green items and major potions from these guys.
IX. Auctioning & the Auction House
By using the AH you can gain really nice amounts of money! This is my main gold making trick. I have made
most of my gold by simply buying for low and selling high! I know this method seems boring or impossible to do. I
thought that same too when I first learned about this auction addon. After playing with it, the gold started to rush in.
Now I love it! This method needs some money to work; 20 silver is enough to get you started. I've found many people
even selling high level epics for around 100-200g and then I have resold them for 400g profit. But, if you do this
manually you will lose valuable time so that's why you need to download an addon called Auctioneer and with
it, search auctions that will gain you profit.
You can find Auctioneer from this url:
http://auctioneeraddon.com/dl/
Auctioneer tells the vendor price and auction price for every item, so if you have completed a quest and don't
know which one will give more money when sold to npc this feature will help a lot!
-Sell all trade goods, greens, blues and purples in AH (With a buyout!) unless you have use for them. -Sell all useless
grey and white items to vendors.
This method does not need hours. You can simply login into the game, visit the auction house, let it scan, and
after that search for auctions that will gain you profit. Notice that you should scan the auction house around 8 times
before start spending your gold there to get the real prices. It's recommended to scan 2-4 times a day to get the most
gold.
Guide to AuctioneerFirst you have to setup the addon. This is very easy step, because all you have to do is install the addon to
your wow/interface/addons folder. Then choose the addons from the character list and check auctioneer if it
isn't already checked. Now just get your butt over an AH and continue following this guide!
This is the area where you choose what categories to search.
Mark the wanted categories.
Suggested categories to search with auctioneer are weapons, armor, containers, consumables, trade goods,
recipes, reagents, and miscellaneous. Don't bother checking the quiver and projectile sections.
When you have chosen the categories, click the Scan button and let it perform it's scan. This can take a long
time depending on how many items there are for sale.
When the scan is done, some statistics are displayed.
Next click the Search Auctions button.
Now you can choose if you want to search for buyouts or bids, and you can also choose the minimum profit an item
should give. You should also change the minimum quality to common or uncommon. Try different options to see how it
turns out. Click search once done with settings.
A complete list of profitable items will turn up and you can begin the shopping! That’s how easy it is!
Just from one search I ended up profiting 300 gold! It’s important to keep in mind that some items take a long
time to sell while others sell instantly. It is also important to keep your items in the auction house until they
are sold. If the item has a high fee, you should probably sell it in the trade channel instead. If your items won't
still sell, you should probably lower the price a little or perform scans more often. Repeat the scan and search
at least once or twice a day to max your gold income!
If you gain only 200 gold a day, you will have 6k by the end of the month!!!
My daily income from AH is everytime around 150-260 gold. I play on a high population realm so there is
always a lot of stuff in the AH! But that's not all. It takes only a few minutes to perform the AH trick. After that
I can choose a good spot and go farming!
Using the Auctioneer to Start a New CharacterHere is a step by step guide on how to get you going on a completely new realm for you!
1. Kill some nearby monsters until you have around 20-50 silver. Skinning and mining can help if you go learn
them. They cost a little bit, but will make up for it, I promise!
2. Once you have a bunch of silvers, run to the nearest Auction House and start scanning. At this point you
don't know the real prices so you should wait a few hours and scan again then. It's recommended to spend at
least 2 days scanning. One or two scans in a day is enough.
3. When you have the real prices and you see something nice in the AH that you can afford and will gain
you profit, buy it!
4. Run to the mailbox and back to the AH and put it up for sale!
5. Wait for it to sell.
6. If it didn't sell, put it up again. If you don't have the money for AH fee, go farm some silvers or sell it in the
trade channel.
7. Sold now? Good! Now you have doubled your money! Run back to the auction house and perform the scan
again. This time you can buy multiple things usually.
8. Repeat until you are filthy rich!
I have around 300 items in the Auction Houses at any given time and they are also in neutral auction houses as
well.
Tip: Perform a scan before the realms go down for the weekly maintenance, people might want to sell
something in a hurry, for cheap!
Tip 2: Be cautious when selling high level blues and epics. They are expensive and not many have the gold for
them.
Tip 3: Take a close look at low level blue items! Twinks like these and will pay a LOT for them usually, since
twinks are owned by rich, elite and bored veteran wow players.
IX. Buying from NPC’s
Here are some lists of NPCs that sell wanted recipes and other items. You can make lots of money from this
method. Usually one NPC sells 1-4 of each item and the item reappears within 30 to 48 hours. Note that some merchants
require you to finish a quest or have a certain reputation before they sell anything to you! If you have problems
locating a certain NPC, use the search field in here: http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/moblookup.html
