IF SOMEONE DOES SO, IS NOT FROM US. 1 Message Chairman Board of Governor Maj Gen (R) Shafique Ahmed, HI (M), S At the zenith of Salt Range in western Punjab in the district of Khushab lies Soon Sakesar Valley, inhabited by Awan tribe. A few dozen villages of this valley contain population of about 0.2 million people who are well known for their piety, uprightness, bravery and hard work. Soon Sakesar Valley has produced saints, writers, poets and large number of distinguished soldiers making this valley famous as region of the marshal race. Religious education has been a specialty amongst the Awans. A few schools and couple of colleges have sprung up to impart education. But a residential English medium institution, to impart quality education has been a crying need of the children of this scenic valley. This college will not only benefit, the people of Soon Sakesar Valley, but will also facilitate the populace of adjacent districts of Punjab Province and the country as a whole. I feel privileged as Chairman Board of Governor of Cadet College Khushab and pray to Almighty Allah for His blessings that this institution may produce the great intellect, the men with character and leadership, Pakistan needs so earnestly. Allah Hafiz. Sincerely 2 Principal's Message Holy Prophet Muhammad SWA said, "The ink of the scholar is holier than the blood of the martyr”. Education ensures all-round development of the individual. It seeks to bring about growth and development within the individual. It transforms the instinctive behaviour to human attitude. Literacy does not reflect the real personality traits rather it is mere ability to read and write. It is disappointing to see a mob of literates all around us, who cannot be called educated. There is an inverse relation between education and literacy. In my opinion the 'present era' has put education under an entirely different perspective. The primary motive of education is to provide economic prosperity to a country. Education creates an opportunity for individuals to earn respectable living. It extends a width not depth in our current educational system. The individuals today have an easy access to knowledge that creates a false impression that he/she is more enlightened than anyone else. This problem not only exists at the college level but also at the professional level. After acquiring degrees, people think they are superior to all other people falling under them in organizational hierarchy. Most of people tend to neglect the opinions of their juniors and don't respect their elders working at lower positions. Hence, in-spite of possessing a higher educational qualification, they can be called as uneducated or merely literate for undermining the expertise of their colleagues. So let's join our hands together, to seek a kind of education, which may build up strong roots of morality and which may reflect our personality, through our acts and behaviour. Cadet College Khushab is working on its mission which is entrusted to educate and groom the Cadets mentally, morally and physically. They are to foster their requisite leadership qualities in all walks of life making them useful member of the society. It is the duty of an educational institution to achieve the 3 objective of our educational policy, by making the Qu'ranic principles and Islamic practices an integral part of curricula. The message of the Holy Qu'ran could be disseminated in the process of education and training. We endeavour to educate and train the future generation of Pakistan as a true practicing Muslim who would be able to usher into the next millennium with courage, confidence, wisdom and tolerance. We Khushabians strive to educate young Cadets to become responsible citizen and leaders, both of Pakistan and the world through action and personal example. In order to mould and develop an all-round moral and intellectual personality of sons of the soil and future of the country, all possible efforts are made. The efforts are specially aimed at imbibing in Cadets a spirit of service to the nation as motivated, loyal, sincere and devoted young officers, managers and administrators. We do efforts to inculcate the message of Iqbal in the mind of youngsters, Faculty is carefully chosen for their success in their own careers and for ability to effectively facilitate a challenging and rewarding learning environment. To achieve the college objectives, the faculty members are under obligation to work with a missionary spirit. I wish the faculty, staff and the Cadets of Cadet College Khushab a glorious success. I share my feeling with the passion of Dr. Allama Iqbal” Introduction In the present era, education has become multidimensional, multi-disciplined and challenging. For promotion and wide spread of education, a number of public schools and cadet colleges are being opened under dynamics of society to move Pakistan into comity of advance nations. Cadet College Khushab is one 4 such attempt that aims at providing quality education in peaceful and disciplined environments, to turn a child of today into a meaningful citizen of tomorrow for the benefit of local populace in particular and the whole society in general. First phase of construction (already completed in 2012 comprises massive academics and residential blocks somewhat a replica of historic main block of Lawrence College Ghora Gali, Murree built way back in 1860) and a residential block for staff. The institution aims at preparing cadets for Matric / F.Sc examinations of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, with a plan to introduce parallel O / A Level (Cambridge) stream at a later stage. Our Objectives The cadets who wear prescribed college uniform and follow a disciplined routine, are taught different subjects and are provided physical as well as moral training. The college provides freedom to individual cadets to develop special liking and aptitude for any pursuit / career in their future lives as they deem appropriate. However, being a Cadet College, the institution has a natural tilt to inspire the cadets to join PAF or other Armed Forces for award of commission for which they are adequately guided. College Management Although a proprietary organization, Board of Governors advises CEO to form policies and to manage the affairs of the institution. It consists of senior forces officers eminent personalities, educationists and local notables. 5 Board of Governors · Patron-in-Chief LT.
