The Thirty Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
" Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass
away until all these things have taken place.
Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away.
But of that day or hour, no one knows,
neither the angels in heaven,
nor the Son, but only the Father."

PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God
rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the
evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen

Update on Msgr. Mike
33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
"But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." It may
strike us as odd that there are things that the angels don't
know. But it's even more surprising that Jesus--the Son
of God--would have been unaware of the divine schedule for the end of the world. Given all of this, should it
come as any surprise that there are things that God
chooses not to reveal to us right now?
In his wisdom, God knows when the timing is right to
reveal his plans to us. The fact that we don't know everything helps us remember that we are not God. We are his
creatures, dependent upon him for our existence, our
sustenance, and for the hour of our death too. In this era
of instant Internet information, advanced diagnostic
medical tests, and statistical surveys predicting future
trends, it's hard to accept the fact that there are some
things we just can't know. But this reality should keep us
humble, reminding us that we don't have to know everything because we are in the powerful hands of a loving
God.
Thus, any attempt to "see the future" through psychic
mediums like palm reading, tarot cards, or astrology
suggests a kind of distrust in God. As the catechism
states, such practices "contradict the honor, respect, and
loving fear that we owe to God alone" (§2116). As much
as we might want to know when the world will end,
when our dreams will come true, or when our problems
will cease, we are called to walk in faith, accepting what
God chooses to reveal and trusting that even our moments of uncertainty are part of his benevolent plan for
us. As today's psalm declares, "you will show me the
path to life." What else do we really need to know?
Msgr. Mike has been released from Warm
Springs on Friday, although he will not be
active in the parish just yet, he will be
recuperating from home.
Please continue to Pray for Msgr. Mike
PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS
God of Love, You show your favor for us and grace us
through baptism. Bless us with the courage to carry out
the mission of Jesus. Grant us open and generous
hearts to see the needs of others and to respond with
compassion. May the Church be blest with women and
men who are dedicated to You through marriage, the
single life, the diaconate, priesthood, and the
consecrated life.
It is in Christ and through Christ that we offer
ourselves to You now and forever.
Amen.

y la vida consagrada. Es en Cristo y por Cristo que nos
ofrecemos a Ti ahora y siempre.

THE DIVINE MERCY Weekly Message
During Holy Mass, I was so enveloped in the great interior fire
of God's love and the desire to save souls that I do not know
how to express it. I feel I am all aflame. I shall fight all evil
with the weapon of mercy. I am being burned up by the desire
to save souls. I traverse the world‟s length and breadth and
venture as far as its ultimate limits and its wildest lands to save
souls. I do this through prayer and sacrifice. I want every soul
to glorify the mercy of God, for each one experiences the effects of that mercy on himself. The Saints in heaven worship
the mercy of the Lord. I want to worship it even now, here on
earth, and to spread devotion to it in the way that God demands
of me.
Mensaje semanal De La DIVINA MISERICORDIA
Durante la Santa Misa me envolvio un ardor interior de amor a Dios
y el deseo por la salvacion de las almas tan grande que no sé expresarlo. Siento que soy toda un fuego; lucharé contra todo el mal
con el arma de la misericordia. Ardo del deseo de salvar a las almas;

Stressed? Discouraged? Lonely? Sad?
Don't Suffer Alone. Help is Available.
NURSING HOME
& HOME BOUND MINISTRY
Sometimes we fall into a trap where we
think it’s a sign of weakness to ask for
help. So when we’re stressed, discouraged, lonely, or sad, we try to keep our
struggles hidden and are reluctant to ask
for help. However, that’s not God’s plan. Galatians 6:2
says, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of
Christ.” God wants us to care for others—and allow others
to care for us in our time of need.
If you’re sad or struggling inside, don’t suffer alone. Ask
for help. We’ve got a team of Stephen Ministers who are
ready to provide confidential one-to-one care, encouragement, and support to help you through a tough time.
Eucharistic Ministers needed to assist a few hours per week in
this vital ministry, taking Holy Communion to those who cannot come to Mass. Training and written instructions will be
provided by someone currently in this Ministry. If you are a
homebound Parishioner, or have moved to a Nursing Home,
and would like Holy Communion bought to you on Tuesday
mornings, we can add you to the schedule.
Find out more about Stephen Ministry by talking
with one of our Stephen Leaders:
Jerry Krimbill, 392-0602 or Pam Hughes, 394-5723
or email Pam at [email protected].
Our Stephen Ministers are ready to bring
God's love and care into your life!
Holy Trinity Our Lady's Rosary Ministry
Holy Trinity has a Rosary devoted to Our Lady, and all are welcome to join: We speak and
pray a universal language of love for Our
Blessed Mother! Training is provided and
rosary making supplies are provided for you to
take home and make rosaries on your own time
at your own pace.
Workshops are held the

Reflection ~ Detour or Dead End
God has a unique plan for each and everyone of us. He created us with a purpose, a purpose far greater and more noble
than we usually can fathom. In fact, we tend to set our sights
much lower, and settle for far less, than what God has
planned for us.
When divorce hits we can lose sight of God's plan. The divorce becomes our plan. We then spend our time, energy, and
focus working the "divorce" plan. Being divorced becomes
our life. It becomes who we are. We look at divorce as our
life's final destination, instead of a detour from something far
greater. This is when divorce becomes our dead-end.
Thankfully, God never stops calling us back to His plan. Often times we ignore this. As a result, life becomes much more
difficult than it has to be. If you find that you lack a sense of
peace, that life has become a never-ending struggle, that you
seem to be going in circles and getting nowhere, take a step
back. More than likely, you are working your plan, instead of
God's. The struggle and heartache are indicators that you are
working against God, not with Him.
Daily prayer, routine confession, and quiet time in front of the
Eucharist, are great ways to tune into the Holy Spirit and allow Him to get you back on track. We all need a
"realignment" from time-to-time as life, our fears, and our
freewill, have a way of pulling us off track. Remember, God
has a great plan for you--a plan filled with promise, peace,
and joy. Living that plan may not always be easy, but not living it is sure to lead you to a dead-end.
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for
welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. - Jeremiah 29:11

Holy Trinity Altar Guild Needs More Handmaids of the Lord
The Altar Guild needs more parishioners to ensure that the Holy Trinity masses and the Blessed Sacrament Chapel are
“pleasing in His eyes”. Help is needed and the Altar Guild may be your ministry. The Altar Guild cleans and washes
over 90 communion linens every week. We ensure the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, the main Altar, the offertory table,
and the credence table is dressed with clean linens. Help washing the communion vessels and ensuring the Sanctuary candle is full during adoration times are other duties. We have also added the duties of decorating the Church and Altar for liturgical seasons and special
Masses. “Do not be afraid”
Our Altar Guild coordinator will instruct and answer any questions you may have .

Our guest speaker will be
Major General Patrick Brady (Ret).
General Brady spent 34 in the Army serving all over the
world. He was in Berlin during the building of the wall and
returned in 1989 when it was torn down. He served in the
Dominican Republic during that conflict, in Korea as commander of the troops at the Joint Security area of the DMZ
and for 2 years in Vietnam as a helicopter ambulance pilot.
In 2 tours of Vietnam he flew over 2500 combat missions and
rescued 5000 wounded. He developed foul weather and tactical techniques for air ambulance rescues never before executed in combat. He has been identified in the Encyclopedia of
the Vietnam War and other books as the top helicopter pilot of
that war.
General Brady is the only living Army veteran of Vietnam to
hold both the Medal of Honor and the Distinguished Service
Cross, our nation’s second highest award. He also was presented many other awards for his service.
General Brady and his wife, Nancy had six children. He has
given talks all over the US, which have been informative,
entertaining and inspirational.
Copies of his book “Dead Men Flying”
will be available for sale and signing.
All proceeds received for the book are donated to Veterans.
The Holy Trinity Parish is invited to attend
this presentation. Light refreshments will be served.

Christmas Under the Bridge
is coming!!
We distribute new winter clothing
and personal hygiene products in an
effort to keep the homeless healthy
going into the cold winter months.
These items are distributed Christmas day to local shelters, as
well as street homeless during the annual homeless census.
Inside the Red bags located in the rear of the church, there is a
flyer describing what the needs are. You can pick and choose
what items to provide.
The Black bags are for Pathways. Pathways is a local agency
that assists placing children into foster care. Many times these
children are removed from their homes in the middle of the
night with only their clothes on their backs. These donations
allow for foster parents to not have to run to the store in the
middle of the night, and the child can have some new clothes
that are clean and their own.
We will be picking up bags November 14 & 15. There will
be trucks in both the front and rear of the church to collect
your donations. We will be sorting in the parish hall after
the 11:15 mass November 15th, and welcome volunteers!!
