‘CIUCHCIA TUMSKA’ Vehicle
One may go on a tour of Płock Old Town by this trainlike vehicle with two 20-passenger cars from 1 May until
31 August on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and during
holidays. The tours begin at 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00
p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., and last for 70 minutes. The
vehicle stops in Warszawska Street. To learn more about

Located on the unique, high escarpment on the right bank of the River
Vistula, the city of Płock is a place where one can admire both beautiful
landscapes and historic buildings which bear witness to Poland’s
rich past. Moreover, there exist ideal conditions for undertaking
various recreational activities and doing sports in this ancient city.
Płock’s citizens are believed to enjoy running very much as several
street runs are organised in the city every year. Sport enthusiasts
can also do Nordic walking, jog and ride mountain bicycles on the
Vistula embankment and near Lake Sobótka. What is more, Płock’s
picturesque escarpment is what paragliders from all over Poland have
come to like. Many envy the inhabitants of Płock the beach stretching
along the River Vistula and Lake Sobótka with its bathing beach. The
latter allows the inhabitants to follow their active leisure pursuits; they
can play beach volleyball and hire canoes and pedal boats there. In
Płock, there are three stadiums, three swimming pools, a sports hall
with a climbing wall, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a sailing
marina, two skating rinks and a flying club’s airfield. While a new yacht
port is still being built, the state-of-the-art‚ ’Orlen Arena’ Sports and
Show Hall, with a capacity of 5500, was opened in November 2010.
Furthermore, Brudzeń Landscape Park and Gostynin and Włocławek
Landscape Park are located in the immediate vicinity of Płock. Both
parks are proud of their numerous lakes and magnificent forests. In
the parks, tourists are invited to take the bicycle paths and tourist trails
as well as go horse-riding and canoeing.
