The strollers were sold at AAFES, Burlington Coat Factory, Babies “R” Us, Toys “R” Us, Kmart, Fred
Meyer, Meijers, Navy Exchange, Sears, Target, Walmart and other retailers.
They were sold from October 2004 through December 2009 for between $80 and $90 for the strollers and
$150 and $200 for the travel systems.
Reason for the recall:
The hinge on the stroller’s canopy could amputate or cut a child’s fingertip when the canopy is
opened or closed.
There have been 7 reports of children
placing their fingers in the canopy’s
hinge mechanism while it was being
opened and closed. This resulted in 5
fingertip amputations and 2 fingertip
cuts.
What should you do?
Immediately stop using the strollers.

Reason for the recall:
The frame latch above the front wheels can fail when the stroller hits an object, causing the
stroller to unexpectedly collapse. This can result in minor scrapes, cuts and bruises.
There have been 185 reports of frame latch failures. In one incident a 13-month-old boy and 3year-old boy both received scrapes and bruises when their stroller hit a sidewalk and collapsed.
What should you do?
Immediately stop using these strollers.

Graco Quattro and MetroLite Strollers
Date of recall: October 20th, 2010
Nearly 2 million Graco strollers are being recalled. This recall involves those versions of the Quattro
Tour and MetroLite strollers and travel systems that were manufactured before January 2008.
In January 2008 a new industry standard was agreed on that addresses the height of the opening between
the tray and the seat bottom. The recalled strollers do not meet that standard because they were
manufactured before the standard was passed.
Specifically, it involves Graco Quattro Tour strollers and travel systems made prior to November 2006
and MetroLite strollers and travel systems made before July 2007. You can find the model numbers
printed on a label at the lower portion of the rear frame, just above the rear wheels or underneath the
stroller.
The brand name “Graco” appears on a label on the tray and the headrest. The model numbers being
recalled are located in the chart on the next page.
The strollers were sold at AAFES, Babies R Us, Burlington Coat Factory, Fred Meyer, Meijers, Navy
Exchange, Sears, Target, Walmart, and other stores between November 2000 and December 2007 for
between $90 and $190 for the strollers and between $190 and $250 for the travel systems.
Reason for the recall:
Entrapment and strangulation can occur (especially for infants under 12 months) when a child is
not harnessed. An infant can pass through the opening between the stroller tray and seat bottom,
but his/her head can become entrapped by the tray.
There have been 4 reports of infant strangulations that occurred in these strollers between 2003
and 2005.
There have also been 5 reports of infants becoming entrapped, most ending in cuts and bruises,
with one report of an infant having trouble breathing.
What should you do?
Immediately stop using these strollers.
Contact Graco (877-828-4046) for a free repair kit.
You may continue to use the strollers as a part of a travel system, since when the stroller is used
with an infant car seat, the strangulation hazard is not present.
ALWAYS use the safety harness when placing your baby in a stroller, high chair, or other type of
seat.
