Audubon Birdwalks
Saturday, December 4th: Arrowhead Marsh
Expect to see many different water and shore birds. We will
also be looking for Clapper Rails! This is a neat spot.
Saturday, January 8th:
Thornton area of the Delta to see Sandhill Cranes. We
usually see hundreds of these birds. Sometimes they
dance three feet into the air (believed to be part of a
courtship ritual). Bring a lunch. We won’t return until
early or mid-afternoon.
Both trips: Meet at WBU at 8:00 am sharp. Mt. Diablo
Audubon Society members are leading these walks. A
$2.00 donation is requested for the MDAS. Call 798-0303 for reservations.
