Introduction
Recreational leases on Weyerhaeuser property offer virtually unlimited opportunities for outdoor recreation, including
exceptional hunting, fishing (select locations), hiking, horseback riding, bird-watching, or just getting away to tranquil
settings. Weyerhaeuser Outdoor Recreational leases allow you to enjoy time with friends and family on privately-owned
forestland. Each tract of land is mapped and individually designated as a Recreational License Unit (RLU) for
identification purposes.
Upon accessing the website, any user will see the following:
Main Menus
The home page has eight main menu tabs. Upon loading the home page, you should see: Home, About Us, Contact Us,
Disclaimers, Terms and Conditions, Sponsors, Member Login, and Find Available Property.

Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions listed on this page are a summary of certain key licensing provisions and do not include all of
the terms and conditions that are included in a license. You should review the “Terms and Conditions” prior to creating
an account.
Log In
If you have already created an account, enter your username and password to sign in to your account.
Forgot Password
In the event you forget your password, click “Forgot Password” then enter the email address used when creating your
account and click “Submit”. Your username and password will be sent directly to your email inbox.

Search Available Properties
Click on “Find Available Property” to reveal a list of states. Click on your desired state to be directed to that states
Available Properties page.
To view properties that are currently available on an interactive map, select the RLU number from the drop down menu
(shown below). After selecting the RLU number, you will automatically be directed to a map, zoomed in on the RLU you
selected.
The “Search Properties” box allows you to search for properties available for leasing in your area. Land available for
leasing is listed geographically by county. If your preferred county is not listed, then we do not currently have any
property available for lease in that county. Search results can be filtered by using the drop down arrow beside “county”
or by entering min/max price and acres.

After selecting your search criteria and clicking “search”, details (price, maps, etc.) about available properties will be
displayed at the bottom of the page:

Zoom In/Out: Zooming in/out can be accomplished by dragging the bar on the left side of the map.
Pan: Hold down the left mouse button while dragging the mouse pointer to pull the map in any desired
direction.
Map Legend: RLUs on the map outlined in green are properties that are available for licensing. RLUs
outlined in yellow are already reserved to previous license holders. RLUs outlined in red are currently
licensed by a hunt club.
Switch Background Map: To change the background of the map, click

to choose either a street map or satellite imagery.
View RLU Details: To view RLU details about the RLU on the map, click the RLU number and a box will appear (similar to
the one below) that contains detailed information about the selected RLU.

Click on the “View Property Details” icon to view details (price, acreage, maps, etc.) about this week’s featured
properties!

Getting Started
The “Getting Started” section provides detailed information about Weyerhaeuser’s Outdoor Recreational Lease website.
Create Account
An account must be created in order to place bids and license hunting land from Weyerhaeuser. To create an account,
click “Create Account” located under the “Get Started” section. You will be prompted to create a username and
password, which will be used each time you access the site. After entering the required account information, click
“Next” to launch the account and proceed to entering your club information.

The “Club Information” page allows you to create clubs associated with your account. Type your club name in the box,
then click “Add Club”. You can add as many clubs as you want. After you have added all of your clubs, click “Save”. You
have now successfully created an account.
Message Boards
The message board allows you to read messages posted by clubs looking for members/individuals looking to join a club.

Entry Permit Application
This page contains the Southern Timberlands Entry Permit Application. Applicants must enter all of the required
information and accept the terms and conditions at the bottom of the page (by checking the box), then click “Submit” at
the bottom of the page.

User’s Account
Once you have created an account and logged into www.weyerhaeuserhuntinglands.com, you are now able to utilize
everything our website has to offer! Aside from being able to bid on properties, you have access to all the tools needed
to track your bidding history, organize club memberships, and download important documents.
Upon logging in to our website you should see the following:
My Account
The “Manage your Account” button allows you to view/edit your account, view your account history, manage your club
members, and view your messages.
View/Edit My Account
Use this page to update your account information. Information such as your password, address, phone number, and
email address can be updated using this form.
Member Management
This page allows you to edit, add, or delete members within your club.

Click the
icon to edit a member’s contact information. Click the
icon to delete a member from your club.
View Messages
This page allows you to view/send messages from/to Weyerhaeuser. You will receive email notifications when you place
a bid, have been out-bid, are the winning bidder, or if a reservation has been made on your behalf.
The Renewal Process
When renewing a previously licensed RLU, the following steps should be taken to complete the process:
1) Login to your account, arriving at the Account History page.
2) Click on the RLU number in the “My Reservations” column.

3) After clicking on the RLU number, you are given the opportunity to Accept or Decline the RLU reservation made
for your club. If you choose to accept the reservation, you will be directed to the Reservation Wizard.
Alternatively, if you do not want to renew your license for the RLU, clicking decline effectively releases it out to
open bid for all bidders.
4) Next, create your license agreement using the “Reservation Wizard” (directions are provided below).
Creating a Lease Agreement
Be sure to carefully read the directions on each page to verify the information before creating the License
Document. To proceed through the tabbed pages, click “Next” located at the bottom of the screen.

1. Start Here: Outlines the license creation process and lists the items you will need to finalize the
reservation (i.e. club member addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses (if available)). Click
“Next” to proceed to the “Lease Summary” tab.
2. Lease Summary: Displays the reservation information for your club. Verify that the RLU number, price, and
payment due date are correct and click “Next” to proceed to the “Verify Club Members” tab.
3. Verify Club Members: Displays your hunt club’s information. It is very important that you make sure this
page lists all of your club’s members with their correct address, phone number, and email address. Click
“Next” to proceed to the “Create Lease” tab.

4. Create Lease: First, preview your license document, by clicking “Preview Lease Document”. This is a copy of the
lease. After you are sure that all of the information is correct, click “Create Lease Document”.
Next, electronically “sign” the lease by clicking the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions stated on the lease.
To submit your electronic signature, click “Submit”.

5. Payment Options:
The Bidding Process
In order to begin bidding on a RLU, you must first “search available properties” described earlier in this document and
search for properties available for licensing in your area. After entering your search criteria, click “Search”. You should
be directed to a page similar to the one below (if there are RLUs available that meet your search criteria):
Remember: You must have an account in order to bid on an RLU!

Once you find a RLU you would like to bid on, click

The bidding screen (above) shows the minimum bid amount and the days/time left until bidding closes. If you wish to
bid on the RLU, enter the amount you are willing to pay in the “Bid Amount” box. The minimum amount you are
allowed to enter is highlighted in green.
After you read and agree to the “Terms and Conditions” and “Disclaimers”, be sure to click the corresponding box.
Click “Submit Bid” to submit your bid. By submitting your bid, you are entered into a legally binding contract to license
the RLU if you are the winning bidder.
My Account
After submitting a bid, you will automatically be directed to the “My Account” page. This page enables you to view
information about all the RLUs reserved to your account or bids you have placed. Select the RLU you want to see more
information on by clicking on the RLU number under the “Current Bids” column.

Bid Status Types
 Accepted – Your bid has been accepted as the winning bid. The licensing process can now begin.
 Rejected/Declined – Another person’s bid has been accepted as the winning bid. All other bids have been
rejected/declined.
 Submitted – Your last bid has been placed and is currently the highest (or only) bid.
 Outbid – Another person has bid more than your last bid. At this time, you may increase your bid if you choose.
 Reserved – The Weyerhaeuser RLU Manager has exclusively reserved the selected RLU for your club (as a
renewal).
 License Received – Your signed lease and payment has been received and the remaining paperwork is being
processed.
 Executed – The Weyerhaeuser RLU Manager has processed your payment and loaded a signature page to your
account containing the land manager’s signature and club account holder’s signature.

Downloading Lease Documents
After you have created a license agreement, you can download it at any time by viewing your “My Lease Details” page,
and then following the actions link to

Download Insurance Card
Your insurance card can be downloaded by clicking the actions link, “Download Insurance Card”.
Updating Club Members
Club members can be modified, added, or removed from your club up until the final licensing document is created. To
update your club member list, click

icon to add new members to your club. Click
the
icon to edit a member’s contact information. Click the
icon to delete a member from your club. After you
are finished updating your members list, click “Create Updated Members List”.

Submitting a Maintenance Request
To submit a request for maintenance on your RLU, click
on your “Account History”
page. Select the type of maintenance needed (gate, road, lock/keys, etc.) and type a detailed description of your
request. Click “Submit Request” to send the request to your RLU manager.
Executing a Lease
After the license document and payment you submit are received and approved, you will receive an email informing you
that your license has been “Executed”. A digital signature and time stamp will be uploaded to your account. NOTHING
will be mailed back to you, so please access your account for a copy of your license agreement.
