This particular event took place in Port Hudson, La. at the Port Hudson Civil War site. According to those who participated, the scenery for the race was nothing short of beautiful, with fog covering the course before the start. To go along with the theme, the race started with a shot from one of the historic Civil War cannons that were on location. Although the course only stretched out to four miles rather than five, everyone who ran have an enjoyable experience running this challenging course. The top male finisher was Sean Fitzwilliam with a time of 23:21 and the top female finish was Sarah Skotty with a time of 27:07.
