Engagement of the sweep is easily accomplished
from the outside of the bin with a shift lever. This
is done only after the grain has been unloaded off
the sweep auger through the intermediate hoppers,
and power is shut off to the system. The Forged
Beveled Gear, (Red), is driven by the underbin auger.
This gear spins freely on the Splined Vertical Shaft,
(Yellow) until the Splined Jaw Clutch, (Green), is
engaged, into it. The jaw clutch moves up or down
on the shaft by means of a Shifting Fork, (Purple),
which is operated by a rod connected to the outside
shifting lever. Once engaged the gear turns the
vertical shaft. This shaft then operates the sweep
through the Top Gear Box, (Yellow). The simple
design of this clutch enables all moving parts to be
located inside an oil enclosed gearbox, away from
harmful dirt that can keep other types of clutches
from working reliably.

BIN SWEEP OPERATES WHEN LEVER IS
ENGAGED BY OPERATOR AFTER UNLOADING
AUGER HAS REMOVED THE GRAIN IN THE
CENTER OF THE BIN AND THE INTERMEDIATE
HOPPERS HAVE REMOVED THE GRAIN OFF
OF THE SWEEP AUGER. After unloading
through the center hopper, then
through the intermediate hoppers,
simply stop the unit and shift the
sweep into gear to unload the
rest of the bin!
