Note: This presentation does not reflect coordinated flowering time.
To properly maintain your garden and for best results please:
• Prepare the garden bed with a good quality growing medium and plant your perennials at a minimum soil
depths of 30 cm, your shrubs 45 cm and trees 60 cm.
• Apply 5 cm of good quality compost to your garden bed in the spring.
• Remove weeds and inspect for pests and disease weekly in the spring and every two weeks in the summer.
• Ensure plants receive a minimum of 5 cm of water weekly during the first two years of growth.
After two years, the well-established plants will require less water.
• Remove ‘spent’ blooms, if desired, and rake and compost leaves in the fall.
• Prune as needed to remove damaged branches (the plants suggested here should not require pruning to
reduce size) during the winter.
