April 2015 Newsletter Workshops for April Watercolor painting with Hilda Hilda is back in April to teach two different water color classes. The first workshop, scheduled for April 8 at 7 pm, will be an introduction to water color painting. April 14, Hilda will guide you the step by step process of painting the pansies to the right. View full schedule. More Painting Workshops Paint a Bouquet with Sue Marion Sue will lead you through the step by step process to create a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Only a few spots left! Register through our secure on line process. Schedule Bill Bright Artist of the Month Bill has so many different styles of painting, one would not think it is a one man show. Bill's show runs from March 31 through to May 31. Please join us Sunday, April 12, from 4 6 pm for the reception. Refreshments served, free and open to the public. click here. Summer Dreaming Winners Announced Our first juried show was a smashing success. We had over 20 artists with their depiction of the essence of summer. Our juried winner was David Prokowiew of Lunenburg, and our popular winner was Jim O'Rourke of Townsend. Summer Dreaming pictures Inspired Blooms and the winner is....Country Florist of Pepperell Melanie, of Country Florist in Pepperell, created this unique arrangement to complement the encaustic painting of Groton artist, Sharon Wooding. The painting is titled "Vernal Pool". The winner was determined by popular vote. Thank you to all the garden clubs and floral designers who participated: Sue Hutchinson Littleton Country Gardeners, Anonymous Littleton Country Gardeners, Thelma Shoneman Acton Garden Club, Lisa Lavender Flowers, Flourish Florists, Bronze Bell Florist Pepperell. A special thank you to all the 529 artists who also created some wonderful flower arrangements. Check here to see all the great flowers from the event. Act III Wins Entertainment License Let the music commence! After winning its appeal to the commonwealth, and receiving an entertainment license from the town of Littleton, Act III Restaurant will finally be allowed to offer live music on a regular basis. The music starts April 1, with pianist/musician Paul Broadnax. Check Act III's website for its schedule and to purchase tickets. MSPCA fundraiser to date Through the generosity of the artists of Gallery 529, and the Social Canine of Westford, and the folks who bought our auction items, over $400 in total will be sent to the MSPCA's Nevins Farm in Methuen to support its important work.
