Statement
We want to turn the exhibition space into a place of
enhancement of vitality. We create vibrating and singing
piece that resonate or oscillate.
We take part in our sound installations as performers.
We consider these performances as a shift of situation,
as a time of presentation (rather than a representation),
and an intensification of relations between space, objects
and the audiance’s bodies, focusing on the thin limit
between subject and object.
We use the sound phenomenon as a stimulating plastic
element. The exhibition space becomes a vibrating
background where we build animist relations with
objects and where we lead plays between elastic bodies
stimulated by sound.
The exhibition space becomes the privileged place where
experience and alternate realities are possible if we’re
willing to consider the experience as the very meaning of
this construction.

Solo show / Exhibition at BF15, Lyon
01-03 2016
We developed a projection-based artistic research on the daily use of technological objects and
the integration of these into our private daily lives and intimicy. In a posthumanist context, they
have chosen to avoid positioning themselves critically before this ubiquitousness and to distance
themselves from indiscriminate use of them in order to build new, creative and significant relationships with these electronic objects and with electricity.
« At La BF15, we want to export our performative issues, translate and develop them through our
first solo exhibition. This show is based on the phenomenon of conduction - both as an electrical
phenomenon but also in its aesthetic and poetic potential. The installation takes the form of an
electric flux network, of sensorial and eery fluxes. La BF15 becomes a space where everything
is potentially conductive: elements of the installation (cables - sound - sculptures - texts) within
a network that the visitors-listeners permeable bodies integrate, subjected to different flows, be
they energetic, sonor, or electromagnetic.

[ serene & repetitive dub music spread in the air ]
[ you hearing text with an intimate listening through special bone
conduction headphone plug to the cables network ]
We can see them well there, these micro things that make up matter.
All these presences, these tiny micro things that work together making
proper connections. It works well.
Even if it can’t be seen, if it seems as though nothing is moving,
everywhere there is an exchange, things connect, colliding, clicking,
pushing, scattering, expanding and doing business.
Everything seems inert, but inside you know that all those little micro
things are subject to the world’s energy. An energy that pushes them, all,
in the same direction to transmit information, all the way to this cable to
carry my voice.
We look at them and see how they are inside, and how they make
exchanges. We can then understand the material, we visually grasp the
fluxes. May science and poetry be reunited. Inside, it pushes, it whizzes,
it jostles to carry the ad. It is a true mess, with a well-paced atmosphere.
The interior molecules are the ones that vibrate and it’s like a wave pool.
They move by pressure variation, rushing and decompressing, they are in
contact with each other and have continual meetings all along the cables.
They synchronize themselves to transmit information from one corner of
the globe to another, and together they manage to carry my voice all the
way here, to this access point, to this opening. Here where they pass on
the information to the bone conduction headphones, that do their job,
to your bones, which do theirs, and you, too, do your job. You connect
and you shape yourself into an infinite number of micro meetings, you
pass on this information to yourself, and all this slides into a poetical
physique.

ULSE big bodiesis a performance in an interactive installation thought as a place for the coP
existance of sevral kind of body - object, performeur, electric body, body of sound - united by
sound vibrations passing through them. The performance was conceived in a way that there is
no stage and no audience in the traditional sense, neither was there a play. It was a kinetic experiance about equivocal interractions and relations between those conductive presence and flows
of differents intensities.

This performance is about sound propagation and his continuous distortion between space and
corps. The relationship with what you hear is the heart of this piece, from a simple resonance to a
trance state. We explore differents sounds and audio effects on our bodys and their movements.
Thoses connections are materialized by costumes designed to fit speakers and dancers as well.

part of the «Performance Proletarians !!! » project
Sound Performance filmed and broadcasted from Le Magasin
National Contemporary Art Center, Grenoble, France
10 octobre 2014 - 30 minutes
« Space that will not be recorded » is our proposition for the project of Lili Reynaud Dewar and
Benjamin Valenza « Performance Proletarians !!! », a program of several performances filmed in
the auditorium of Le Magasin and broadcast live on youtube.
Our performance is focusing on the situation of a sound check, a sort of never strating / never
ending concert based on our idea of backstage and «off-space» .

Pas de bourrée, pas de biche is a performance in which Lou Masduraud dances with Sarah Tritz’s sculptures exhibited in the Parc Saint Leger. We had hung in the middle of that
exhibition, in between two metallic sculptures, our own sculpture called good good good
good (vibrations) which interacts with the magnetism surrounding it. The movements of Lou
Masduraud are the magnetic source of a strange melody, which is manipulated during the
performance by Antoine Bellini.

« What is interesting is that sound never has just one
living space because it spreads.
The first vibrating body induces the bodies around it.
I remember this quote by Peter Szendy : sound is
« the plastic game of several bodies1 ». This is love, isn’t it?

good good good good (vibrations) is a theremin - first electronic instrument.
It is sensitive to magnetism, it produces sounds according to the physical and magnetic
activity happening around it. All is about translating distances and positions into sound,
about a sentient and responsive object.
The electronic system, the calibration and the optimisation of the sound width of the basic
system (a Moog Etherwave) were operated by Thierry Frenkel, an engineer and a specialist
of the first generation of electronic instruments.

Sunset case is a sound sculpture based on two projections, a light projection and an audio
one on a concave target.
The sound is a regular and continuous pulse beamed on the concave screen and
conducted by it.
