Holmes Water Park Paved walking trails meander along Magee’s Creek, a popular destination for canoeing. Located only a 90minute drive from New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Jackson - Tylertown is an easy day trip. The Children's Playground is adorable and open all year. Tour the Christmas Lights during the holiday season. The pavilion and the outdoor stage are available for parties during other times of the year. Many species are found along the trail, among the pines and tall, leafy hardwoods. Pileated Woodpeckers, like this one, are plentiful. Over 300 species of birds have been spotted in the county.
