The Vision
November 2015
I have heard it said that the Church is the only organization that exists for
those who have not joined. That is simply not true. The Church is the Bride of Christ.
She exists to prepare herself for the Wedding. What does that mean?
The Church must be holy. Holiness is a separation from sin. The members of a
church need to realize that they are becoming one with Jesus in this wedding and
should prepare themselves in holiness.
The Church must be full of love. This love is the same love that Jesus has. It
means that the members should love others like Jesus loves them. This includes the
members and non-members. They should be so loving, that others want to be a part
of the Bride of Christ with them.
The Church must abide in Christ. The head of the Church is Jesus. The head of
every Christian must be Jesus. Abiding in Christ, means that the believers obey their
Lord without question. They remain in His love when they obey.
The Church must stay in His word. This reveals what God wants them to do and
what God is going to do. It allows them to know the Groom better and know how to
speak to Him. It changes their prayers from timidity to confidence. It gives the
members a bold hope for the future.
The Church does not exist for herself. Unfortunately this world says that the
wedding is all about the bride. That should not be true for the bride. She should give
herself to her husband. Jesus gave Himself for His Bride. The Church must give herself
to Him.
We do not exist for those who do not know Jesus. We exist for Jesus. Thus, we
are always bringing people to Him because our allegiance is not to those in this world
but to Him.

Thalia Lynn will again adorn our Sanctuary with red
Poinsettias for Christmas! You are invited to provide a
poinsettia in honor of, or in memory of a loved one.
Envelopes to place your orders will
be available November 8th, 15th & 22nd.
The cost for each regular size flower will be $7.00.
Double Poinsettias are also available for $14.00.
