The new Club Med Resort
draws inspiration for its
architectural design from its
exceptional surroundings in
the highest ski resort in Europe
at an elevation of 2300 m. Light is
omnipresent and the Resort boasts
incomparable views of the “Great
White Circus,” with large bay windows and
skylights, three southwest-facing terraces and
balconies in most of the guest rooms with clear
views over the mountains. The entire design
was specially conceived to put the spectacularly
breathtaking views on centre stage!

Val Thorens Sensations blends the warmth and
traditional aspects of mountain lodges with the
energetic spirit of winter sports. The materials
used – wood, stone, steel and glass – are right at
home here, all working together to showcase the
incredible natural setting.
Sophie Jacqmin was the creative
force behind the interior design
and decoration for this new
Resort. She puts a modern spin
on classic mountain design
codes, with warm and inviting
common areas that feature
bright, vivid hues.

local specialities. In this new Resort, guests can
enjoy a varied offer of authentic, gourmet cuisine
that incorporates local products.
To satisfy the expectations of a very international
clientele, Val Thorens Sensations offers an eclectic
cuisine that is sure to please.
The main restaurant, located on the ground floor
with a terrace, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner
in a buffet format for a friendly, relaxed vibe.
For skiers who just want
something on the go, they’ll
find warm drinks and snacks at
the take-away corner near the Ski
Room.
For our guests who want to take their time in a welcoming,
cosy ambiance, a new dining concept, the “Epicurious
Gourmet Lounge”, offers an authentic, contemporary
culinary experience with three different areas: The
Comptoir Gourmand, the Bar & Lounge and the Wine
Cellar.
A NEW DINING CONCEPT: “EPICURIOUS GOURMET LOUNGE”
The “Epicurious Gourmet Lounge” is a brand new dining concept at Val Thorens
Sensations. Aligned with the expectations of a modern clientele, this new space serves
up a variety of options all day long in an inviting atmosphere. Separated into three
gourmet areas, guests can satisfy their every culinary craving at any time of day.
 The “Wine Cellar and fine grocery corner”:
Here, you’ll find local products and a range of
savoury and sweet dishes. It has a fine selection of
wines for a pre-dinner cocktail or to accompany
dinner. The Wine Cellar also hosts wine tastings
with a sommelier.*

 The “Comptoir Gourmand”: At lunchtime, enjoy a quick “gourmet picnic” either
in the restaurant or to take away on the slopes. In the
evening, “Discovery Dinners” by Michelin-starred
chef Edouard Loubet are available by reservation.
 The “Bar Tout Chaud”: In the afternoon, this lounge area is perfect for
sipping a warm drink or having a snack in a cosy
space. In the evening, kick back and relax with
friends or a special someone and try appetizers
made with local products and a cocktail.

A MENU BY CHEF EDOUARD LOUBET
Val Thorens Sensations asked Michelin-starred chef Edouard Loubet (two stars from the Michelin Guide)
to work with Club Med Chef Thierry Van Rillaer to develop a unique menu for our new Epicurious Gourmet
Lounge.
Chef Edouard Loubet, who was born in Val Thorens and heavily influenced by the rich culinary tradition
in the Savoy region, has gone back to his roots for this menu.
From these two chefs’ collaboration comes a gourmet dinner menu that puts a new spin on local flavours,
with a choice of two appetizers, three entrees and two desserts.

WELLNESS
CARITA, a pioneer in “Haute Beauté,” is a
prestigious brand of spa treatments and beauty
products for the face, body and hair.
At the Club Med Spa by CARITA, you can relax
and rejuvenate after an intense day on the
slopes. Enjoy a unique holistic experience with
customized treatments given by wellness experts.
This 600 square meters space has 10 multipurpose treatment rooms, 1 hairdressing, a
relaxation lounge and two Turkish bath, one of
which is reserved for spa clients while the other is
accessible to outside guests.
Fitness classes, included in Club Med’sall inclusive
offer, are led by expert GOs and are created with
the latest fitness trends in mind, such as Zumba,
Bodystep, Pilates and Bodybalance.
In addition to the classes held at the fitness
centre, guests can also exercise in their rooms
using fitness videos or the wake-up programme
available every morning on their in-room screen.
The fitness centre has teamed up with MATRIX
Fitness (top-of-the-range fitness equipment
maker) to offer the following: functional training
(medicine ball, stability ball), weight resistance
machines, cardiovascular equipment, a boxing
studio and a stretching area.
The Club Med Spa by CARITA also features a “Teen
Spa” area for children ages 11 and up. A special
selection of treatments is available at specific
hours so that young guests can discover the world
of wellness and recharge their batteries before or
after a day of skiing.

guests can plan their holiday and have access to
all the information they need before even stepping

snow reports, slope conditions, etc. Guests can
also know exactly where they are in the Resort
(geolocation), use the app to customise their
itineraries to suit their mood and take advantage
of an internal social network to find a ski partner.
A NEW CONVIVIAL EXPERIENCE BY CLUB MED
BASED ON INTERACTION AND PARTICIPATION
Through a new musical adventure, developed
in partnership with Spotify and the startup Track.tl, guests can participate in the
Resort’s music programming and listen to
their favourite songs anywhere via an official
Resort playlist.

EXTREME SKI SENSATIONS
“EASY SKIING IS GOOD SKIING”: AN OPTIMISED
SKI EXPERIENCE FOR GUARANTEED FUN
A SKI AND SNOWBOARDING OFFER THAT IS MORE
FLEXIBLE FOR MORE FUN!
Ski and snowboarding lessons, given in French
and English in small groups of around 12 people,
are available for all levels. Lessons are taught
by instructors from the most renowned ski
school in the world, “L’Ecole du Ski Français”
(ESF). Professional instructors who know the ski
area perfectly will guide skiers down the slopes
suitable for their level to help them learn in the
best conditions.
Guests can choose between two options over 5
days:
Ski and snowboarding lessons are included in the
Club Med “all inclusive” offer for ages 12 and up.
The new Resort offers flexible start times so that
all guests can find a schedule that is right for
them.
The ski package, which is also included in the
Club Med offer, proposes a 3 Vallées ski pass that
provides access to the entire ski area’s 600km of
slopes.
The ski store sells the latest equipment, thanks
to a partnership with prestigious brands such
as Rossignol, Volant, Lacroix, Dupraz and the
snowboarding brand Apo.
 “Classic Ski Day”: 3 hours of morning lessons,
a break for lunch at the Resort, and 2 hours of
afternoon lessons.
 “Ski All-Day”: A late morning start with 5 hours
of lessons and a late lunch at the “Epicurious
Gourmet Lounge”.
Starting in April, 2 offers are available to make
the most of spring in the mountains:
 “100% Ski”: A classic day of skiing with 5 hours
of lessons for 5 days.
 “Ski & Co”: 3 hours of skiing with 2 hours of
additional activities (cultural walks, fitness

Since 2013, transavia.com (an Air France/KLM subsidiary) has offered an exclusive route between Paris
and Chambéry.
This air shuttle route makes life easier for those coming from Paris by offering quick and direct access to
Les 3 Vallées® ski resorts.
Two options are available: one flight leaves on Friday afternoon, and one leaves on Sunday evening so
guests can take advantage of long weekends to hit the slopes.
BY CAR: From Lyon: 2½ hours via the A43 motorway.
From Geneva: 2½ hours via the A41 motorway.
