We are media professionals working for a small, not-for-profit organization.
We collaborate with nongovernmental organizations. We produce easily

The project aims at producing model film projects that introduce the
experiences of partnership projects arranged between small civil
organizations working in the field of facilitating co-operation, education, and
social integration. Encouraging people (inhabitants) to the active participation.

main activities of
the institution
The Foundation Private Forest Centre (PFC) was established on
March 23, 1999. The Private Forest Centre ensures meeting of the
responsibilities of the state towards private forest owners providing
advice, trainings, education and facilitating the application for state
support.
The main objective of the PFC is to contribute to sustainable,
environmentally friendly and efficient forest management practice
of Estonian private forest owners. Anyone in need of advice or
education on forestry issues can address relevant questions to the
specialists of the PFC.
Keeping the main objective in mind, the PFC aims at educating and
advising forest owners, consultants and forest auditors. In addition
to close cooperation with Estonian forest owners and forest owners
associations, the PFC interacts with forest owners and forest owners
organisations all around the world and fosters international
exchange of know-how. The PFC is also involved in a number of
international projects.
The PFC implements the goals set out in the state forest policy,
Estonian Forestry Development Plan, Forest Act, Estonian Rural
Development Plan and other strategic documents adopted by the
Government of the Republic. Also, the PFC follows the principles of
foreign assistance programmes.
The connection
between the
activities and
adult education
Taking into account the set out goals and activities of PFC, the
organisation has had a role of educating and advising forest owners
since the beginning of the establishment. In the beginning years
more focus was addressed to new forest owners that had emerged
from different reforms of the new republic. PFC was focusing on the
topics like, what means to be a landowner with its tasks and
responsibilities. Nowadays the education has been developed to
more theme specific activities. PFC trains forest owners to be aware
of various aspects of forestry (from forestry work to tax issues),
publishes informational materials and organizes events and
conferences for forest owners.
Extra to this, one of its major tasks is also to educate forestry
consultants and forestry cooperatives. The role of the forestry

consultant is to educate and advise the forest or landowner on the
spot in any kind of theme specific topic. The forest cooperatives’
aim is to find and approach forest owners in their local region and
motivate them to manage their forests.

Summary of the project
Objectives
Improving special skills and updating professional competences of
people working on the field of forestry education and advisory,
based on different possible methods. To exchange international
experiences and methods of work and to cooperate in improving
advisory and educational program based on different methods.
The main objective of the project is to promote the exchange of
experiences, best practices and learn other countries systems and
methodologies on advising and educating forest and land owners
taking into account the size of the properties, age structure and
type of the owner (living in the property, in the city etc).
Extra to this transfer of practices between educators in the field of
adult training, specifically in the area of forestry and nature, in
order to devise accurate methods, new pedagogical approaches
and teaching techniques and advising (especially focusing on
educating on private forest owners and/or leaders of the forest
owner organizations). This exchange will be made of each
participating country to the others in workshops, seminars and
through video conferencing.

Who Are We?
The Traditional Folk Arts and Crafts
organises:
International meetings of craftsmen
Exhibition of folk crafts
Workshops
Performance of folklore dance groups
and folk music players
Cooperation with ergo therapists while
teaching in the care homes
Our civic association: The Traditional Folk Arts
and Crafts were established in 2006. The activities
of the association are mainly focused on keeping
and developing of folk crafts and traditions,
supporting craftsmen in these activities and
creating conditions for expanding their knowledge
and experience. The association also cooperates
with young people, seniors and disabled people.
We also cooperate with volunteers and members
of our association during the events where the
traditional folk crafts are presented in the
workrooms.
We organize cultural events that present
traditional arts and crafts and at the same time our
team collaborates with craftsmen from Slovakia
and abroad, in particular ceramic makers, tinkers,
cravers, blacksmiths, lace makers, weavers,
basket makers and calligraphers, jewellers, glass
and bell makers, decorators of Easter eggs, folk
music instruments, candles and many others. The
cultural performance is a necessary part of every
event which includes singing and dancing of
various folk groups.
Since June 2009, our association became a Slovak
Trade Union member.
The most popular event organized by our
association includes The Traditional Handicrafts
Festival which takes place annually since 2009 in
spa town of Piešťany. Since 2012 we also started
to spread the traditions by organizing The Folk
Crafts Festival in the city of Senec. In 2013, we
are planning to add other cities, such as Žilina and
Skalica. There are approximately 160 craftsmen
who participate in these events, produce and
present their own art.
Care and rest homes are also engaged in these
activities during which disabled and retired people
can present their products. This cooperation
continues in projects supported by the Slovak
Academic Association which has supported a
number of our projects - Workshops and Learning
Partnership.
In 2011, our association participated as a national
candidate in the European Union competition of
the projects and was awarded "Award for
Promoting Business Environment" by the national
agency for development of small and medium
enterprise projects in traditional arts and crafts.

Comeback of Minority Groups into
Everyday Life
The aim of this project is to respond to
the educational challenge of an ageing
population in Europe. COMGEL project
was established as a joint initiative of the
partners to integrate the disabled people
into the society and to increase their selfconfidence and optimism and “return” of
retired seniors into every day life.
The project is focused on ergotherapists,
who provides the education activities for
disabled people and senior citizens in
facilities of social service.

Main educational

ZP is dedicated to the promotion of sustainable development,
organizes concerts/shows for adults/families/schools/senior
citizens, films projections, exhibitions, creative courses/workshops
and community projects.
Podkowa Leśna is a small town of 3.700 inhabitants, about 25 km
from Warsaw. It is an example of garden city, based on the
Ebenezer Howard’s idea of self-contained community balancing
urban and natural environment.
The main vehicle for the implementation of progress policies
towards a better future is education (through local schools) and
lifelong learning (through local Third Age University).
Participation and experience in international projects, for example
LLP Grundtvig.
Cooperation with Third Age University in area of adult informal
education and lifelong learning.

We need our gardens for culture and aesthetics reasons as well as a heritage we will leave to

This project will be possible thanks to the passion and selfless devotion of the team of

Summary of the project
Aims, objectives, general Web radio provides communication possibility with the purpose of

be used in an attractive methodology with important social and
participatory aims.
One of the aims of the project would be creation or development of
local internet radio and net of radio stations, sharing experience and
getting knowledge of how to use equipment and software, how to be a
good, efficient reporter or journalist, how to prepare and lead
broadcasts.
The list of problems and ideas to be subjects of broadcast will be
developed. Partners will create radio-net together.
Important goal is to lead regular on-line, life broadcasts.

Our objectives are: Promotion of traditional techniques and activities, education and creation of new cultural products based on the local inheritance, exchange of experience, knowledge and know‐how, cooperation with similar adult groups and creation of a communication network. It is a prison institution that aims firstly in the detention of the young prisoners but also in piloting certain actions towards the psychological support of both the prisoners and their families, when possible, as well as the promotion of certain The connection between the activities and adult education educational programmes that enhance their personality and help them undertake all kinds of difficulties coming from their detention. Having these aims under consideration as well as the lack in space commodities and the uneasiness in building up certain training educational programs, our prison decided to create special space to help the establishment of a High school facility inside prison. Our high school started functioning in 2002 and since then 500 students have attended school, completing most of them their secondary grade studies. Our prison also managed to establish a primary school where students could follow up special courses aiming to the understanding of the greek language. Having to organise the two schooling facilities inside the prison is neither easy nor a job of one person only. It needs the collaboration of both the staff and the teachers. Social workers that are responsible for the school need to pass on their knowledge to the teachers helping them get to know the prisoners and the problems they may already face. The prisoner's attitude towards the school and inside the school is most of the times driven by other problems he faces both in the family or everyday life in prison. Furthermore social workers can relieve tension between students and teachers by interfering when needed. Teachers in prison bring in a 'new' knowledge of how prisoners should be treated as students and that knowledge sometimes can be contradicted to the way staff has been used to seeing the potential of the prisoners, if so. Moreover the fact that prisoners ‐students are mostly immigrants and refugees creates a special area of interactions that involves even more contradicted issues and cases of differentiation. Living and working in a multinational environment demands great knowledge of these contradictions and differences as well as the methods to ease them and find common accepted ways of embracing the students and creating study groups of the same interests and objectives. Summary
Taking under consideration the fact that the anthropogeography of
prison institutions has changed rapidly over the years and many
prisoners are immigrants coming from other countries we come to
realize that violent practices can be differentiated and the need for the
use of multinational educational practices, grows bigger. Our aim is
to prove that there is a need for implementing a different educational
method which will focus not only on conveying knowledge but also
on featuring the positive aspect of multinationalism, informal
education as integration strategy which will help reinforce prisoners’
personality, the idea that multinational education can help solve
certain problems, the myth that education should only function as an
evaluator for school success. On the contrary a teaching guide should

strategies and abilities so that prisoners can live in a multinational
prison, can get to consider the cultural variety as personal wealth, can
develop critical attitude towards their own beliefs and get to learn to
live and accept people that have different behavioral patterns,
recognising in this way the need for untiracist education for all.
It is a highly important objective to be able to promote
through this program comparative ways of learning as well as
a deeper feeling that more cooperation between schools in
prison and prison institution themselves can be accomplished,
preparing prisoners for successful integration back to society.

Expected outcomes (results, effects, products, etc) 1. Creation at first of a networking guidebook which will be
useful and offer directions and ideas to the working teacher as
well as an electronic platform or a website which will host all
the produced material, which will be dynamic and easily
addressed to by all people who are interested in getting
information and teaching advice sending back their feedback
in personal experience and suggestions. There somebody
could find the theoretical base but also the practical
suggestions on teaching. The implementation of pioneer
practices will lead to the gradual sentimental discharge and
adaptation.

We cooperate with minors of 8 to 18 years old who have committed prosecutable offences and with minors in danger of getting involved in criminality (at prevention level). Due to the fact that the adjudication of cases within the juvenile judicial system is gravely delayed, a remarkable amount of juvenile delinquents are finally judged at adulthood (namely after the age of 17 according to relevant legislation) Given the risks faced by juveniles in detention and its damaging impact on a child's development, Juvenile Courts impose alternative sanctions to imprisonment. Aiming at the promotion of restorative justice approaches, the Juvenile Courts impose victim‐
offender mediation. Victim‐offender mediation takes place prior to or during the trial, with the involvement of juvenile probation officers. The officer cooperates with the minor and his family so that, he/she offers an apology to the victim. This procedure has certain difficulties; victims and their families often have difficulty in dealing with the offender and accepting his/her apology. Moreover the offender may have difficulty in comprehending his/her criminal act and its consequences. Juvenile criminal mediation is often implement with young adults. It is high important, within the scope of addressing youth aggression, for youth offenders to follow a counselling program as a treatment measure imposed by the Juvenile Court. Such a treatment measure is considered appropriate for offenders that have breached the law is respect to sport violence (hooligans). Violence on playing fields is considered one of the main categories of physical assault which may be effectively dealt with in the framework of mediation combined with treatment measures. Its target group consists basically of young offenders aged 8‐18 years old with a growing need for treating young adults aged 18‐25 years old due to recent changes in national legislation. The team of the Organisation consists of professionals who come from distinct disciplines, such as social work, sociology, psychology, social anthropology, law etc. Every professional regardless his/her educational background works as juvenile probation officer and has his/her own caseload. The main activities of the Organisation are: 1. Conducting interviews with young offenders and their families or other persons who are important in their life (teachers, employees etc) 2. Writing up psychosocial assessment of the young offender and his/her family 3. Addressing the psychosocial assessment to the Juvenile Court and make recommendations about the best treatment of the offender 4. Offering information and counselling support to the offender and his/her family 5. Implementing correctional and therapeutic measures (probation order, community service, rehabilitation programmes, programmes for drug‐users etc) 6. Liaising with, and making referrals to other agencies or organisations such as public sector organisations, community social services, legal services, NGOS etc. 7. Participating in actions that are organized in the area of juvenile delinquency and related areas of interest (child abuse, bullying, drug use etc) The connection between the activities and adult education Juvenile probation officers work in the very demanding area of juvenile justice where the treatment of offenders depends on national legislation and influenced by European and international legislation and practice. In the specific area of young sex offenders’ treatment there has been a growing need for more evidence‐based knowledge, research and exchange of good practices already tried out within a European framework. Taking into account the fact that there has been no previous professional training in treating young sex offenders in Greece and there are no common standards to be met by professionals who work in this field, it is crucial for Juvenile Probation Officers to enhance knowledge on the methodology and practice applied by other European organisations and gain specialised skills and methodology. JuvenileProbationOfficersprovidecounselingservicestoyoung
offenders and their families, prepare social reports (pre trial,
pending trial and post trial) with recommendations for the
Juvenile Court and supervise young offenders under juvenile
courtorders(reformatorymeasures).
According to the Greek juvenile justice system, delinquent
minorsaresubjecttoreformatoryortherapeuticmeasuresorto
criminal correction (article 122 of the Greek Penal Code).
Adolescents above the age of 15 who commit criminal acts are
subject either to reformatory or therapeutic measures or to
criminalcorrection(article126oftheGreekPenalCode)given
the fact that, according to the Greek legal system, the age of
criminalresponsibilityis15yearsold.
The connection between the activities and adult education More analytically, the intervention of Juvenile Probation
Officerstakesplacebeforeandduringthecourttrialwhenthey
write and submit a scrutinised social report on the personal
conditions of the offender and on the circumstances of the
criminal act. This report is called a Pre‐Sentence Report and
concludes with a recommendation to the Juvenile Court on the
offender’s penal treatment (reformatory measures,
incarceration etc.). Juvenile Probation Officers also supervise
offenders after the court trial and once a reformatory measure
hasbeenappliedandajuvenileoffenderisplacedonprobation.
This intervention consists of providing extensive counselling
servicestotheoffenderandhis/herfamilyandsupervisingone
or more reformatory measures applied by the court (eg.
attendingvictim‐offendermediationsessions,participatingina
special therapeutic programme, seeking and maintaining
appropriate vocational training and employment, offering
community serviceetc) in orderto reducere offending andto
restoretheharmdonetothecommunity.
Victim‐offendermediation(VOM)incasesofjuvenilecriminality
was first introduced in the Greek Juvenile Justice with Act
3189/2003 as a restorative justice practice. It is stipulated in
theGreekJuvenileJusticeas
i)oneofthereformatorymeasuresimposedonyoungoffenders
in cases of juvenile criminality (article 122 of the Greek Penal
Code).
Juvenile Probation Officers are called to apply VOM before and
after the court trial. Usual criminal behaviours which could be
dealtwithbyrestorativejusticeprocessesarecasesofbullying
atschool,casesofpeergroups’violenceandaggression,casesof
racist and hate crimes against minorities, asylum seekers,
immigrantsandvictimsofhumantrafficking.

article45AoftheGreekCodeofPenalProcedure.Inthiscasethe
Public Prosecutor may refrain from criminal prosecution and
decidetoapplymediationasoneofthenoncustodialmeasures.
Restorative justice has indisputable benefits for the juvenile
justice system. Mediation is an effective diversion from court,
provides speedy justice, tackles the usual court decision delays
andeasespressureontheyouthjusticesystem.
Unfortunately,tenyearsafteritsintroductionbylaw,victim
–offendermediationremainsanunexploredareainGreece.
Until today Juvenile Probation Officers have not received
any relevant training in mediation as there is no training
body, association or other entity familiar with the special
issuesrelatedtoyoungoffendersandvictimsneeds.
As a consequence, restorative justice is hardly implemented by
Greek Juvenile Courts despite the benefits of restorative
practices for all the parties involved and for the community
(ShaplandJ.etal.,2008)onaEuropeanlevel.
Wewishtoimproveourservicequalitytoyoungoffenders
aged 18‐25 through specific training, knowledge and
exchangeofexperiencesinthisparticularfield.Wearethe
onlypractitionersintheGreekpublicsectorentrustedwith
mediation duties by law and we believe that restorative
justice should be placed at the heart of the youth justice
system. Through long term restorative justice strategies
victims are better heard, young offenders assume
responsibilityfortheactioncommittedandlearnaboutits
consequences, local communities become involved in
reparationandpublicconfidenceisincreased.

officers in restorative justice practices in cases of
violent and/or racist crimes against minorities. By
restorative justice practices we mean mediation
practices as a reformatory measure applied to
offenders who at the time of the court trial are
between18‐25yearsofage.
Recently in Greece, there has been a worrying raise of
Target‐groups: Activities: racism and xenophobia. This is reflected amongst the
youth and rapid action should be taken to address
discriminatory and aggressive behaviours against
minorities (immigrants, asylum seekers, refugees) and to
develop the ideas of tolerance, respect, personal
responsibility,diversityanddemocraticvalues.

Aims, objectives, general The project is aimed on parents, who have problems with upbringing
approach
of their children.
The main goal of the project is to increase knowledge and
competences in parents education area (how to be a better parents).
The main activities is to organise workshops - educational groups to

The result of our work will be a book with good practise for parents
containing educational ideas and advices for parents. We will also
create a website focused on parents support, where parents can find

Participation in group work, motilities and through preparing outcomes
of activities will help to realize above objectives.
The project coordinator will be in touch with the coordinators of the
partner organizations and will be responsible for checking if all
activities have been done. We plan to meet in person four times, first
in autumn 2013, spring 2014, autumn 2014 and finally in spring 2015.
These meetings will provide an opportunity to monitor the progress of
our project.
During motilities each project partners will be responsible for preparing
workshop activities for parents.
Hosting organization will be responsible for preparation a report from
meeting that will include: work programme, list of participants, basic
points discussed, summary and feedbacks.
Any work (exhibitions, work performance, reports, photos, notes from
local media and other materials) will be exchanged by mail, internet or
in one of four exchange meetings, which will be organized.
Contact information for people involved in the project, e-mails,
addresses, telephone numbers will be made available to the person
responsible for project implementation in each partner organization.
After each mobility report will be submitted by e-mail to project
coordinators.
All project partners will be obligated to present project to their local
community, parents and all people and institutions which are
interested in project theme (during meetings, information’s in local
media, posters, leaflets, through placing information’s on partner
organizations websites).
All project partners are obligated to create educational groups for
parents which will have subjects focused on development of
educational competences (e.g. what are the principles of good
communication, how to prevent parents from serious problems in
children raising process, how to develop a good relationship between
parents and children, etc.). - schedule and topics of groups depend on
individual expectations and needs of parents in each partner
organization.
All project partners are obligated to create project portfolio and deliver
all materials created during the life-time of the project (presentations,

---British Language Centre is a language school located in Bielsk
Podlaski, Poland. We teach foreign languages to children, teenagers
and adults as well. We have lately paid attention to the organisation of
University of the Third Age situated in our town. The association
educate and stimulate the retired members of the local community.
That is also our priority as a language school. We want to show that
English is easy to learn and available regardless of the age of
pupils/students. Our Polish pensioners may speak and can speak
English as other pensioners of the European Union.

The major expected outcome of the project is an ability to speak
English and comparison of language competences to other

We expect to publish any survey, report or even book relating to
analysis of the Polish language skills students.
We suggest including in the project up to 16 members of the
University of the Third Age.

Our main objective is to senzitize, educate and activate local society on environmental issues such as over consumption, conventional agriculture, traditional right practises, biodiversity challenges etc. We use a variety of methods including new technology (video, powerpoint presentations), lectures, workshops, field work, game activities etc. Our centre is interested in setting networks with other environmental centers which have same projects with us. Synoptically our activities are:  Seminars for educators and individuals in local and national range  Educational programs for students and pupils  Production of educational material (books‐i.e. “Our mushrooms pocket guide”, posters, e.t.c.)  Participation in national environmental networks (Agriculture and the environment, Stonebridges of Greece, Traditional villages and nature, Alternative Ecotourism, Apiculture, etc.)  Cooperation with scientists, Higher Education Institutions, Environmental and outdoorsy organizations  Meetings for action taking on environmental issues Unconventional educational methods are highly valued so as the energetic participation of trainees can be achieved (i.e. mountain trekking, stellar observation, nature games, etc.) The Environmental Education Centre of Karpenisi is planning, organising and implementing seminars and meeting for adults (local, regional, national), relevant to environmental subjects‐
nature, wild life, biodiversity, human habitat, eco‐agriculture, etc. and outdoor activities for the local community (trekking, paths opening, herbs recognition, etc.). People nowadays have forgotten how to cooperate and enjoy what is ungrudgingly given by nature. Our objective includes to urge people to remember the inner connection with the environment and others through art, games and nature. Open to other proposals for outdoor education, games and art for team building and environmental issues. magazine, continuing team activities after workshops (i.e. constructions of forest paths, street performances, traditional celebrations, e.g.), team agro‐applications.
