CELEBRATE CASTLETON
What a day to Celebrate Castleton!! 4th July with a parade in
downtown Castleton; a boat parade and the fireworks on the lake.
Awesome day and night. There were 19 groups in the downtown
parade and 22 boats in the boat parade. The LBA was well
represented, as you can see above, with our boat and Beach Boys
music playing. There were people dancing in the street and
singing with the Beach Boys. Thank you John Casella for the use
of the car and music and Terry Moran for the boat. Also a big,
big thank you for all those who walked for the LBA.
The fireworks were amazing. At times they seemed like they
were 3D coming right at us. The fireworks were so good I could
hear people applauding and beeping their horns. It was great to
see so many people out in their boats, on Slate Quarry Point, and
on the shores. A lot of us on the boats just stayed on the lake for
awhile just savoring the night. As I said last year there is nothing

like being on the lake for the 4th. Next year the 4th of July
Committee is planning on Sunday, July 2 for the fireworks. The
original ratification of our Declaration of Independence. Stay
tuned for more information.
BOMO BASH
This had to be the best Bomo Bash ever!!. Thank you Davene
and Wenda, along with the rest of your crew for a fantastic job.
Also thank you Roz and the rest of the Trak Inn crew for a
fantastic meal. It was also great to hear people talking about how
nice it is to live on Lake Bomoseen, the fireworks and history of
the lake. No talk of weeds which was great because there is so
much more to Lake Bomoseen.
