By popular demand, “Heads or Tails” will return to LBA and it will be bigger and better than ever!!! The highlight of this year’s Friday evening live auction at Laid Back Attack will be the bidding for an incredible Caribbean cruise experience for two aboard the S/V Mandalay donated by Sail Windjammer Cruises. The S/V Mandalay sails for one week, boarding on Sunday and disembarking on Saturday, out of their homeport in Grenada West Indies. The lucky winners will visit a selection of islands in the Grenadines, including the homeport of Grenada, Carriacou, Union Island, Mayreau, Tobago Cays, Bequia, St. Vincent and possibly some other stops along the way. Ports visited are subject to change … they sail to where the Captain and the wind take you!!!!! You will sail to unspoiled beaches, hidden inlets and sparkling warm waters that conventional cruise ships just can’t reach. You will experience a Caribbean few others ever see or dream of!! Valued at $3,396 ($1,599 per person plus $99 per person port charges) this package includes standard cabin accommodations (upgrades are available), all meals, 5 o’clock Rum Swizzles and snacks. (Flight to Grenada, gratuities, bar, shore excursions, transfers and onboard purchases are not included. Trip must be used one year from issue date.) Several other one-of-a-kind auction items will also be up for grabs via live auction including: 1) Jimmy Buffett Poster autographed by Jimmy Buffett, Michael Utley, Robert Greenidge and Greg “Fingers” Taylor. 2) Margaritaville Concoction Maker with travel case. 3) A bottle of Crystal Head Vodka autographed by actor/comedian Dan Aykroyd. 4) A very special acoustic guitar autographed by all performers at Laid Back Attack. Several more items will be added list and announced next month. The live auction will be held on Friday, July 11 from 9 to 9:30 pm. How does it work??? It’s simple. All players pay a $5 entry fee and are given a special colored wristband. When it is time to play, the game leader will invite all players onto the Summit Ballroom dance floor. When the command is given players either declare “Heads” or “Tails” by placing their hands on their head or on their butt. The game leader then flips a coin. All of those who have chosen incorrectly take a seat while the remaining players repeat the process until only one person is left standing. That lucky winner pockets one-half of the pot from the $5 entry fees collected for that game. The other half of the pot will go to our charity partner. You will have five chances to play and win during the LBA weekend. Game times will be listed on the LBA event schedule. Be sure to look for the volunteers who will be walking around the Summit Ballroom selling the wristbands prior to each game. LBA NEEDS YOU!!!
