Karla McHugh writes “In January of 2010 our
family and cousins went to Fox River Resort. … We
headed out in a group into the snow and went
cross country skiing … all over the golf course, and
around the resort. We had a wonderful time and a great
workout. It was nice to have an opportunity to take a
break from the usual drag of winter … get away and be
with family.”

birthday in Branson … 33 of us in five Presidential units
lifetime. We were blessed we did this at dad’s 80th birthday in
Branson … our 8-year-old grandson has already requested

from Houston, Texas.
Dale Staggers writes “Pastoring a church frequently takes my
husband away from his family. We realized our grandchildren
were growing up so fast … we took the two youngest grandchildren to The Villages. We had a blast at The WaterPark, but nothing
compared to this special moment … with my husband and our
grandchildren … enjoying this beautiful sunset. Thanks Silverleaf for

received the new UV system and equipment upgrades.

Improving our
resorts for you!
From August 1st through November 1st, more
than 500 units, resort-wide, received new
mattresses, living room furniture, artwork,
paint, hardwood furniture refinishing and more.
• Apple Mountain - 15 units had furniture
refinished and the Activity Center has a new
karaoke machine and new flooring.
• Fox River - 70 + units had furniture refinished and/or new mattresses and living room
seating, refinished counter tops and the
indoor pool received a new UV system,
heating system and equipment upgrades.
• Hill Country - 45 + units had furniture
refinished and new living room seating, the
outdoor pool got equipment upgrades and
UV system and a new housekeeping and
laundry facility opened.
• Holiday Hills - 50 + units had furniture
refinished and/or new living room seating
and mattresses.
• Holly Lake - 20 + units received new living
room seating and/or flooring.
• Lake O’ The Woods - 25 + units received
either new living room seating, furniture
refinishing or rainfall shower heads.
• Orlando Breeze - 45 + units received new
living room furniture, flooring and cabinet
paint and 24 units had their kitchens expanded.
• Ozark Mountain - 125 + units received either
new living room seating and/or mattresses,
and new patio furniture was added at the
Activity Center
• Oak N’ Spruce - 100 + units received enhanced
art, 10+ units got new flooring, the Fitness

Christmas-themed activities abound in
nearby communities that include The
Festival of Trees at the Berkshire Museum,
now through January 2, 2011, “A Christmas
Carol” performed at the Berkshire Theater
from December 11-30 and of course
plenty of skiing. Skiing, snow tubing and
snowboarding are available at Jiminy Peak,
Catamount, Ski Butternut or Bousquet.
After a day’s outing, head back to the
resort and enjoy one of the resorts indoor
pools and hot tubs!
