Why Mount Mobile Devices?
Benefits of Vehicle Specific Mounts
For Convenience— No more digging in your pocket or purse; mounting your mobile device keeps it convenient
and at your fingertips! The phones are getting larger and less convenient when tucked into a pocket.
For Aesthetics— Pro.Fit International mounts provide some of the best looking results when it comes to
complimenting your cars interior and avoiding that cluttered and cobbled look.
For Safety— Mounting mobile electronics within sight and within reach encourages safer driving habits by
allowing you to keep your eyes and attention where they should be, on the road! It also helps to minimize the
temptation of texting while driving.
For Longevity— Mobile electronics are susceptible to abuse. By securely mounting your electronics they will last
longer, protecting your investment. If you want to get the most mileage out of your devices, protect them from
bouncing around your car.
For Legality— Many states and providences have passed laws prohibiting mobile phone use while driving. Install
a hands-free kit on a VSM and the problem is solved. Suction cup mounts are also being outlawed, most notably in
Minnesota and California.
For Security— VSMs are attached to the vehicle beneath the trim of the dashboard providing a hidden, secure
mounting platform. In an accident there is a much better chance that your device will not become a projectile and
cause injury. Pro.Fit International products have successfully passed crash-testing. Easy on-and-off placement
allows you to use your toys while driving, but keep them hidden from leering eyes when you’re not in your car.
Why VSMs Are The Best Option:
Secured beneath the trim of the dashboard, they provide a clean and solid mounting platform. They are
designed with a professional fit and they look great because they are custom made for each vehicle. By
providing detailed instructions, there is no guess work when it comes to proper installations.
Competing products:
Vent Clips— They are typically inexpensive, poor quality and don’t hold well. If they do hold the device
in place they sometimes break the vent. Plus, they block the airflow.
Suction Cups— They have been outlawed in many areas because they impair drivers’ line of sight.
Plus, many suction cups don’t hold well, and are susceptible to temperature changes. Suction mounts
are temporary mounting solutions, made to be easily moved from one vehicle to another.
Double-Faced Tape— Using double-faced tape usually leads to one of two outcomes:
1) The adhesive doesn’t come off the dashboard and leaves a mess that is impossible to get rid of
2) The mount comes off the dashboard and brings the paint with it.
Bean Bags— In many places they are sold based on the convenience factor. Most are large, unsightly,
and are likely to become projectiles in an accident.
Cup holders— They were made to hold your coffee, not your electronics. Cup holder mounts occupy a
popular vehicle amenity and are often unstable.

VSM G3
The VSM G3 is a vehicle specific mounting bracket that provides a platform for attaching mobile
electronics to a vehicle’s dash or console. They are designed to fit a specific make and model vehicle and
typically attach behind the dash trim bezel. The stainless steel bracket is strong yet discrete and will
provide a professional fit for every installation. Each VSM-G3 includes a bracket, A Plate and J Stem.
The unique ball on the VSM G3 performs two functions: it is the point at which the interchangeable
components are attached and it creates the joint which allows users to move, remove or reposition their
electronics. The G3 ball and the J Stem ball are identical in size. Whether holding an iPhone,
smartphone, GPS unit, MP3 player, or a satellite radio, the interchangeable parts provide a mounting
solution for most handheld electronics. The smart design of the G3 allows the swapping of devices from
car to car or removal of the device to avoid theft. An additional cradle or holder may be necessary to
complete the installation.
Every VSM G3 bracket will provide a custom fit to multiple vehicles, helping to
minimize inventory.

Avoiding any damage to the dash, the LEGEND creates a clean and strong
mounting platform to secure your device within easy reach.
The VSM LEGEND is very compact and strong when securing a phone cradle,
handsfree accessory, satellite radio, or GPS. New to this smart design is an
integrate swivel which allows adjustment in any direction up to 30 degrees.

Vehicle Specific Mount
In 1991 Pro.Fit International pioneered a new mounting solution namely the VSM (vehicle specific mounting
brackets) to the wireless and 12 Volt industries. Vehicle Specific Mounting brackets are designed to
attach to a specific vehicle dash, integrating into and typically secured with existing hardware. Avoiding any
damage to the interior, the VSM creates a clean and strong mounting solution with a factory look.
The VSM is a nearly permanent mounting base used for mounting a variety of differing devices within the vehicle.
The mounting surface is designed and angled to position the electronics so it is easily visible and reachable by the
driver. This ergonomically designed steel mount has been the preferred choice for securing mounting satellite radios, phone cradles, handsfree accessories, and handheld GPS units. The professional fit of this type of mount has
set new installation standards .
Pro.Fit International has set the bar very high for the VSM product given its form and fit within a specific vehicle.
Nothing short of a perfect fit with meticulous instructions is acceptable. No other manufacturer has matched the
fit, superior quality and reputation established by the VSM and VSM Legend mounting solutions.
Add-On Components
The VSM mounting solution provides a platform and standardized hole pattern that will accept many different
holders, adapters, swivels, and cradles, many currently available from Pro.Fit International, as well as other

Anchored by 3M adhesive - the BRAVO provides ample holding power while
the locking plate offers a solid yet adjustable mounting platform.
The ball is 17mm (or the same size as our G3 mounts). Fits all models of Garmin
Nuvi GPS units when used without locking plate.

The LOBOY is a universal, low profile mount for securing iPod holders such as the miMount, XM and Sirius satellite radios, handsfree cradles, video displays and more. LoBoy features an integrated swivel which allows easy adjustment 30
degrees in any direction, holding securely without locking or tightening levers. The face of the mount has the AMPS hole
pattern along with an “L” bracket for optional vertical mounting. The flexible mounting pad with its adhesive back
makes installations fast and simple. Proven in the field, the 3M adhesive has superior holding power yet can be removed
without damage or messy residue. Comes complete with double face adhesive for securing devices without holes or

The Universal Combinations from Pro.Fit International are a one-purchase mounting solution. Each
combination includes the mount and holder needed to complete the installation of your device. All
Universal Combinations are adhesive based and work with any vehicle. The 3M adhesive is a one-time
application that ensures the mounting solution will stay put on the mounting surface. The adhesive is strong,

The BUG is a mount for securing small, narrow profile radio control heads for satellite radios, VHF radios, HAM radios
and more. The BUG features a pivoting action for the two arms which rotate on a solid shaft. This allows for simple
alignment of the arms to match varying hole patterns for mounting different control heads. The low profile body design
allows easy adjustment with a single twist of the thumbscrew. The BUG may be mounted in a variety of locations.
Optional double face adhesive pads are included for each arm to secure items without mounting holes. The flexible

The WindowMate is a premium suction mount for windshield or glass applications. The flexible six-inch

This tool is great for removing trim bezels and air
vents without damaging the vehicle's dash. Slide
between the bezel and dash to release retaining clips.

The Wire Worm is a specialized tool to assist routing wires under the dash cavity, under carpeting,
above headliners or through the vehicle's firewall.
It is 3/8" wide x 48" long and made of nylon that

scratch or cut your vehicle's interior or wiring.
