Count On Me Count On Me Like 1-2-3 2013 Campaign Theme You can count on me like 1-2-3 I’ll be there. And I know when I need it I can count on you like 4-3-2 You’ll be there. ‘Cause that’s what friends are supposed to do. -Bruno Mars “Count on Me” This years’s United Way Campaign Theme, “Count on Me,” represents the spirit of a community where people are there for each other, changing lives and improving the circumstances of those in need. Every minute of every day your dollars are at work providing shelter, food, hope and strength to people in the our community who are struggling to improve their lives from almost impossible situations. Archie Kountz is the 2013 United Way of the Concho Valley Campaign Chair. Archie is employed as the Tom Green County Risk Manager. He currently serves on the United Way of the Concho Valley Board of Directors, Community Impact Council, and formerly on the United Way of the Concho Valley’s Communications Committee. Before moving to San Angelo, Archie served as the Howard County United Way Campaign Chair as well as on the Howard County United Way Board of Directors in Big Spring. He is also a member of several other nonprofit boards in San Angelo. 2 Your gift to the United Way of the Concho Valley stays here to support those in need in our community. Your gift gives a family stability. Your gift provides hope to those less fortunate. Your gift improves a child’s chances for a brighter future. Your gift helps seniors regain their independence. 3 2013 United Way of the Concho Valley Programs Supported through UWCV funds Adult Enrichment Center 325-942-9253 Nursing and Personal Care Program Concho Valley Regional Food Bank 325-655-3231 Hunger Relief Program Adult Literacy Council 325-657-0013 English as a Second Language Program Esperanza Health and Dental Centers 325-949-7974 Success By 6 Program Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council 325-224-3481 Adult Treatment Program Galilee Community Development Corp. 325-655-6700 Helping Hands Program Big Brothers Big Sisters LoneStar 325-486-2200 Community Based Mentoring Program Girl Scouts of Central Texas 325-655-8961 Stay in School to Enjoy Real Success (SISTERS) Program San Angelo Early Childhood Center 325-653-1825 Infant, Toddler and Pre-K Program Boys and Girls Club of Menard 325-396-2340 Project Learn Program Boys and Girls Club of San Angelo 325-655-8343 Education and Career Development Program Sonrisas Therapeutic Riding 325-949-4837 Pediatric Therapeutic Riding Program Texas Southwest Council, Boy Scouts of America 325-655-7107 Nurturing Youth for Success through Cub Scouts Program Children’s Advocacy Center 325-653-4673 Court Appointed Special Advocate Program Concho Valley Home for Girls, Inc. 325-655-3821 Connect By 25 & Safe and Sound Programs The Salvation Army 325-655-6981 Emergency Assistance Program YMCA of San Angelo 325-655-9106 Scholarships for After School Care Program 4 United Way of the Concho Valley Board of Directors Bob Bluthardt COSA - Fort Concho Tod Herring jcpenney Tim Vasquez San Angelo Police Dept.
