Greetings to all.
Let me start by saying that I am so
proud to be an Elk! What an experience and an honor it was, to represent BPOE #549 at the Grand
Lodge Convention in Houston.
From the Opening Ceremony, to
the scholarship winners, the soccer
and hoop shoot winners, the Memorial Service and the installation
of our 2016-2017 Grand Lodge
Officers, it was all truly amazing. I
met and talked with Elks from all
across this great nation as well as
Elks from across Ohio, sharing
ideas and ways to let our communities know what being an Elk is all
about. Whether walking through
the vendor area or in the convention hall, you could feel the energy
of this proud gathering of Elks. I
would encourage all of our members to spread the word to friends,
family and associates, that we would
love to have them as members of
our great Lodge! Some of our officers and I will be attending the Ohio
Elks Fall Reunion later this month
in Columbus and we look forward
to seeing our fellow Elks from see you there!

We are pleased that our delinquent
members keep coming back to the
Lodge and paying this year’s dues.
We are now down to 44 delinquent
members and I know that some of
you are not planning to give up your
membership. We are currently looking at initiating 9 or 10 new members and transferring one to our
Lodge in August. It is good to see
an influx of new candidates coming
forth. Look around you. Is there a
friend, a neighbor, a co-worker or
relative ready to be a part of the Best
People On Earth? Our food is very
good. The drinks are the best deal
in town and it is the place to meet
your new and old friends. Be a
PROUD sponsor today!
Many of our officers are preparing
to go to the Ohio Elks Association
Reunion in Columbus this month
and your ER just returned from the
Grand Lodge Convention in Houston. Each time they return, they
are enthusiastically bringing back
new ideas and information to make
our Lodge better. With your help
and continued support, we will all
help Painesville Lodge #549 be one
of the best.

who suffer from Cerebral Palsy.
This month, we had banks donated from Vickie Bishop, Charles
and Phyllis Brunner, Kyler Daniel
(4), Merle and Vickie Robb, June
Schlee and The Zames Family.
Every penny counts and together
we help to make someone’s life a
little better. Thanks to each of
you and keep up the great work.
Fraternally,
