Let me start by saying that I am so proud to be an Elk! What an experience and an honor it was, to represent BPOE #549 at the Grand Lodge Convention in Houston. From the Opening Ceremony, to the scholarship winners, the soccer and hoop shoot winners, the Memorial Service and the installation of our 2016-2017 Grand Lodge Officers, it was all truly amazing. I met and talked with Elks from all across this great nation as well as Elks from across Ohio, sharing ideas and ways to let our communities know what being an Elk is all about. Whether walking through the vendor area or in the convention hall, you could feel the energy of this proud gathering of Elks. I would encourage all of our members to spread the word to friends, family and associates, that we would love to have them as members of our great Lodge! Some of our officers and I will be attending the Ohio Elks Fall Reunion later this month in Columbus and we look forward to seeing our fellow Elks from see you there! around our great state.
