This is a tour designed to awaken your senses. Learning to dance salsa in
Cali, a city that each year hosts the World Salsa Festival, is in store for hose
who choose this itinerary, which also includes a visit to the Sugar Cane
Museum, a typical crop from Valle del Cauca. The journey continues at a
farm where we will witness cofee production. We will also go to the
Medellín Botanical Gardens to see an exhibit of 1,600 orchids and to the
Western Suspension Bridge hanging over the Cauca River in Santa Fe de
Antioquia.

DAY 1
Arrival at International Airport Alfonso Bonilla Arangon.
Reception and transfer to the hotel of your choice.
DAY 2
Breakfast at the hotel. We will start our tour of the world’s capital
of salsa, with a visit to the center of the city. Driving across the city
we will pass by the 3 tons monumental sculpture project made by
the painter and sculpture Hernando Tejada, the “Cat of the River”,
designed to beautify the banks of the Cali River. Along the Sixth
Avenue, renowned for its nightlife, we will get to the San Francisco
Religious Complex. An important complex of four buildings built
between the 18th and 19th centuries with a rare example of a structure
built in Mudejar style in the background, the Mudejar Tower. The trip
then ends up in the hills of San Antonio neighborhood, the hipster
heaven of Cali, a place of artists, antique shops and restaurants and a
great overview of the city. In the afternoon you will find out why is Cali
the Capital of Salsa and the importance of the Annual World Salsa
Festival. You will be taken for a lesson to learn the unique style and swing
of the “caleños”. Accomodation.
DAY 3
Breakfast in the hotel. Today you will be taken to a place full with history and
romance, Hacienda el Paraiso. A country house of the 19th century where
writer Jorge Isaacs lived and set his romantic novel ‘Maria’. Adorned with rose
gardens and water channels, this is a place that exudes tranquility and peace.
From here we will visit the Sugarcane Museum at Hacienda Piedechinche. A
place full of rare trees, colorful flowers and sugarcane mills where you can
learn all about sugarcane processing. Accommodation. Alojamiento.
DAY 4
Breakfast at the hotel. You will be taken for a road trip to
one of the cities of the Coffee Region. Prior to arrival at
the hotel we will head out to the municipality of
Buenavista to take a tour around Hacienda San
Alberto, to learn about the fascinating world of coffee
growing. The Hacienda has the most extraordinary
view, where you will be able to appreciate the
mesmerizing beauty of the coffee plantations in the
mountains in the south of el Quindio department. In
addition, you will not only be taught the process of
coffee step-by-step, but also will be taken for a
tasting
of
high
quality
coffee
awarded
internationally in countries like Russia, South Korea,
and Belgium. Accommodation.
DAY 5
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be taken to the principal location of the National tree and the world’s tallest
palm, the Quindio wax palm in the Cocora Valley in the town of Salento. A guide from the area will take us into the
natural cloud forest along the eco-trail to enjoy the magnificence of the palm trees and the spectacular landscapes.
There, we will have some free time before going to Salento. A town of colorful balconies, handicraft workshops and a
great viewpoint of the whole area. Well-known also for the delicious trout. Accommodation

Breakfast at the hotel. We will leave in the morning. On our trip to Medellin, we will have the chance to visit a beautiful
town in Antioquia, the town of Jardín. Admired for its idyllic and colorful balconies, beautiful coffee farms and
breathtaking waterfalls. Arrival in Medellin. Accommodation
DAY 7
Breakfast at the hotel. In our day in Medellin, we will have time to enjoy art and nature. We will visit the first museum
established in Antioquia. This Art Museum houses the largest collection of works donated to Medellín by the famous
artist Fernando Botero. A collection including sculptures, drawings on canvas, watercolors paintings and photographs.
Then, we will visit the Joaquín Antonio Uribe Botanical Garden. This greenbelt area has a collection of 200 species of
orchids -around 1600 of them- and more tan 1000 living species in general. This venue will be the perfect place for a
picnic. At the end of the day, we will take the gondola lift system that provides a complementary public transportation
service to the people of Medellin, the Metrocable. One iconic symbol of development of the city. Accommodation.
DAY 8
Breakfast in the hotel. We will visit the western-sub region of Antioquia. A region with a nice weather, reaching
the 25Cº degrees. The municipalities of San Jeronimo, known as ‘the land of the cocoa’; Sopetran, known by
its fruit, streets paved in stone and houses made out bahareque; and Santa Fe de Antioquia, the first capital
of the department where you can appreciate patrimonial architecture, make part of the Network of
Colombian Heritage Towns. Its colonial architecture and the hanging bridge, built between 1887 and 1895
over the Cauca River, have captivated for decades the attention of all travellers. Return to Medellin.

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up and transfer to the airport as scheduled. Flight to your next destination. End of
