For almost 300 years Rörstrand has been syno­
nymous with quality and fine craftsmanship. Our
plates and tableware have been handed down from
generation to generation and become heir­looms,
classics and collectors’ items that have written
themselves into Swedish design history. Perhaps
this is because we have always under­­­stood that
quality goes beyond mere durability and

Pergola
Pergola is the Mediterranean and the Swedish skerries
in one. Decorative twists and turns in subtly shifting
shades of blue marry timeless simplicity with Swedish
tradition. The pattern inspires individualistic,
eye-catching table settings.

Mon Amie (French for “my friend”) made its debut
back in the 1950s, when Marianne Westman created
the now classic decorative pattern one rainy Mid­
summer eve. Over the years the blue floral decoration
has become something of an icon for Rörstrand.
Marianne was a true pioneer within her genre and has
even been called “the mother of Swedish porcelain”.

Kulinara
Lingonberries, cloudberries and blueberries, parsley
and chives – the Swedish designer Hanna Werning has
created a series of products with a fresh and vibrant
feel that makes them just perfect for preparing and
serving food. She has taken her inspiration from the
feast of wild and cultivated flavours that characterise
the different seasons in Swedish kitchens.

Ostindia Floris
Ostindia, first introduced in 1932, celebrated its
80th anniversary 2012. The pattern was inspired by
a fragment of china salvaged from the cargo hold of
the Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg, which sank
in 1745. It remains one of Rörstrand’s best selling
designs and was recently honoured with the accolade
“Service of the Century” in Sweden.

Swedish Grace
A design classic in six colours. This tableware still
evokes the same emotions as when it was unveiled
at the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930. Louise Adelborg
succeeded in conveying the sensation of ears of wheat
swaying in the summer breeze.

Collection
Carisma, Qvint and Corona. Three services identical in
shape, yet distinctly different in expression. Carisma
with its blue lines is the newcomer in the collection.
The decoration for Qvint was inspired by the musical
interval of “a fifth”. Corona was inspired by a natural
phenomenon. The designer behind these is Jonas
Bohlin, whose products have become symbols for
contemporary Swedish design.

What unites Rörstrand and the design studio
“10 Swedish Designers” is the ambition to make
everyday life more beautiful. Today Rörstrand’s
porcelain designs and the colourful fabric patterns
created by “10 Swedish Designers” have become
part of Sweden’s design heritage. For many people
these designs, colours and fabrics are closely
associ­ated with memories of childhood. For others,
particularly younger people with an interest in
design, they are a constant source of inspiration
and renewal.

Named after the home of 19th century artist Carl
Larsson and created by Pia Rönndahl. Sundborn is
decorated with the warmth, harmony and floral motifs
that have become hallmarks of Pia’s design.

The restless pen strokes of the illustrator
and fashion designer Lovisa Burfitt grace
the pages of several of the most prestig­
ious fashion magazines in the world. Her
collection for Rörstrand tells a story of the
eccentric Mademoiselle Oiseau. All pieces
are dishwasher- and microwavesafe.

Filippa K
One of Sweden’s major fashion houses has designed this
series of mugs and lent them its name. The porcelain
itself has a surface which evokes the sensation of textiles
in patterns and colours that would not be out of place in
Filippa K’s new fashion collection. The standard range
with six different patterns is complemented at regular
intervals by new seasonal motifs.

Vintersaga
We welcome the festive season with our new
Vintersaga range, a result of our collaboration with
one of Sweden’s foremost designers, Katarina
Brieditis. Her light-hearted designs for two different
mugs for mulled wine and a bowl feature stylised
representations of Christmas trees, baubles,
Advent stars and snowflakes. It’s a contemporary
interpretation of all the classic ingredients of a
traditional Christmas, with everything that fills this
special season with joy and expectation.
Vintersaga spreads a true Christmas spirit in your
home. It’s perfect for mulled wine with nuts and
raisins when December is here and the countdown
to Christmas has begun.
