Assisting, Networking, & Resourcing Churches and Missions of the NBA
June 10-15, 2013
World Changers is a hands-on mission opportunity sponsored by LifeWay that began in 1990. The mission
statement of World Changers is ‘to involve students in hands-on service, in meeting people’s needs, and in
making Christ known.’ We are excited to partner with LifeWay to bring World Changers to Nashville for another
year. Park Avenue Baptist has agreed to house the World Changers while they are in Nashville. The World
Changers participants will sleep, eat breakfast, share evening meals, and hold nightly worship services at Park
Avenue. In between breakfast and the evening meal, World Changers participants will minister to low-income
residents through home repair and construction on many homes in the Nashville area. Around two hundred young
people are expected to participate in World Changers Nashville
Two Ways To Help
1. Your church can recommend homes to be repaired by
World Changers. We need to identify these homes by
April 2013
2. Your Church can identify a home to be repaired and
provide for the purchase of materials to repair the home
or homes.
3. Your church can sponsor the repair of a home by giving
to the NBA World Changers Fund.
4. You may have individuals or business owners in your
church who would like to sponsor a home by donating
the money to cover the material cost for the home.
World Changers can do painting, siding, porches, decks,
ramps, and other outside repair work on homes.
P.S. World Changers can work on church buildings also.

Your church can make a Kingdom impact
by hosting a group of on mission students.
June 11-14, 2013
You can share a blessing with these young people
by ministering to them as they minister to others.
Nashville Baptists can minister to World Changers by
providing lunch for them
at their work sites. This
year, we will need at least 15
Host Churches to host World
Changers Nashville .
By hosting a crew you would be
providing lunch for
approximately 15 students. You
will deliver lunch out to the work
site each day Tuesday - Friday,
June 11-14, 2013. If you would
be willing to host a crew please

Church Ministry Highlights
A House Church Using T4T discipleship to
bring people to Christ
The last few months you have heard a lot of sharing
about T4T. The Lord is using this approach to reach many in our
city for the Gospel. Pictured here are two of the many who have
reached. If you would like to know more, or to schedule a T4T
training for your church, please contact the association office.
Bridge Community Church
ministers to downtown homeless
Bridge Community Church (one of the NBA’S Korean
churches) serves homeless people every second Saturday of the
month in Nashville downtown. This ministry has been part of
the church for many years. It is a great time of encouragement.
The church is always looking for volunteers to help with this
ministry. If you are interested in this ministry contact John
Kwak; [email protected]
We are excited to be highlighting the ministries of our NBA churches. If you have a
ministry at your church you would like to see highlighted in the Beacon,
contact JoAnn Howard; [email protected]

Churches affiliated with the TN Baptist Convention,
may ask, "What is T4T?" T4T stands for Training
for Trainers. The mission is to train believers who
can train others in a very simple yet effective method
of evangelism and discipleship.
How is T4T working in the U.S.? Jeff Sundell, IMB
Missionary who spent ten years of his life spreading
the gospel among Tibetan Buddhists in northern India
and Nepal by using T4T, moved back to rural North
Carolina to an old Mill town that was declining.
With help from the police, Jeff identified the three
toughest neighborhoods in their county and chose
them as his mission field. After two years, over 350
people are gathering for worship and discipleship and
over 250 have been baptized.
How is this working in Nashville? At the current
publication of this there are currently 18 T4T groups
started among various people groups here in the
Nashville area, the possibility of three more groups in
Muslim homes and six professions of faith. (All of
this since first of May).
