Church Ministry Highlights
Hickory Hollow Baptist Church Car Care Ministry
As Jesus went throughout Galilee, preaching, teaching, and meeting spiritual
needs, He also met physical needs by healing the sick, casting out demons,
opening blind eyes, and even providing a meal for thousands out of a small
boy’s picnic lunch. His ministry to physical needs opened doors for His ministry to spiritual needs. Surrounded by apartments where residents cannot change
the oil in their cars nor wash the dirt from their cars, Hickory Hollow Baptist
church meets those physical needs, so they can meet spiritual needs. Once a
month, HHBC posts fliers in the mail rooms of the surrounding apartment
complexes, announcing their monthly Car Care Ministry where cars are
cleaned and have their oil changed for free. While cars are serviced, refreshments are served and the gospel is
shared. Last year HHBC, which averages 75 in worship, ministered to 30 single parent families, and six single
moms prayed to receive Christ. Two people have already been saved this year through their Car Care Ministry.
