Picnic- Time and Location TBD 30 Aug- PPHD- 2015 New Model Party Shane Chisholm I bought a new 2014 Ultra Limited and I wanted to get some miles on it by driving it this year. I recently drove a little over 2500 miles to the 32nd Laughlin River Run and then to Las Vegas. My girlfriend Dawn rode with me and it was her first real ride as a passenger on a road trip. She did extraordinary dealing with the rain and windy conditions that we had to endure to attend this event. We toured through the Painted Desert and the Petrified Forest in Arizona on our way to Laughlin. While at the River Run we also got out and toured Arizona going to a popular biker stop at the old mining town Oatman, AZ and Cool Springs on old Route 66 and another ride to Lake Havasu to the London Bridge and Needles, CA. It was a very good vacation an ended with a long 14 ½ hour 1,016 mile drive home on my comfortable bike from Las Vegas. Ride to Bent’s Fort Well Group 3 took a gorgeous ride to Bent’s Fort on Saturday 12 April. The weather conditions were perfect for a ride and we took the scenic route to get to Boss Hogg’s Saloon and Restaurant. The food was good and the company was even better as we all sat around and discussed upcoming trips and bikes. LOH Meetings Meetings held monthly on the Tuesday following the HOG Chapter Meeting. Socialization begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by the meeting at 6:30. You can simply attend the meeting or choose to eat dinner and enjoy a beverage. The members of LOH run their own meetings and sponsor activities that both ladies and men can participate in. Women and men alike are welcome to participate. Many husbands and significant others are even known to gather for dinner to socialize during the LOH meetings. 2014 LOH Meeting Schedule May 6 June 10 July 15 August 12 Sept. 9 Oct. 7 Nov. 4 Dec. 9 Ways you can keep your bike in tip-top shape. Check spark plugs, make sure they are clean and properly gapped. Keep throttle and clutch cables lubed and adjusted. Tire air pressure is critical to safety and tire wear. Check fluid levels, low motor oil, transmission oil, or primary fluid can cause noise and premature wear, and if left unattended, you can burn up your motor, transmission, or clutch. Low brake fluid can cause a spongy lever or spongy rear brake pedal. Once air enters the system it will need to be flushed. Keep your battery fully charged. We recommend using a battery tender.
