Forgiveness is not pretending that things are other than the way they are." -- Desmond Tutu "Forgiveness and reconciliation are not just ethereal, spiritual, other worldly activities. They have to do with the real world. They are real politik, because in a very real sense, without forgiveness, there is no future." -- Desmond Tutu Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness. -- Marianne Williamson Drama Piece # 2 Peter Bible Reading # 2– Matt. 18: 21-35 Parable of Unforgiving Debtor – Mrs. La-Dana Smith Music – #4 “He Has Forgiven Me” -- Peter Eraser Video Clip An Animation Story About GOD’S Forgiveness Bible Story #2 – 2 Chron. 33: 1-16 Manasseh – Mrs. Pamela Lawrence Lasburn’s Lament Music: “Please Forgive Me” Surrendered Drama #3 – Conversation With Jesus – Tara / Keisha /Leanne Forgiveness: A Conversation With Jesus Music # Yes To Life Choir Drama -- #4 – Are You Ready or Not – Avi and Dennis Music # 7 – Charmaine Jamieson or Choir or Rose “Lord I Tremble” 3 ANNOUNCEMENTS____________________ CHURCH CALENDAR FOR TODAY Elder on Duty: Greta Liupakka Health Care Personnel: Charmaine Ambrose 10/10 Ministering Men & Young Men in Prayer: All men & young men are invited to room 23 for 10 minutes of prayer immediately after Divine Service. 5:00 p.m. 7:30 p.m. Bible Class “The Exhibit” - Drama, Music , Movement. Don’t be amused by your child’s aggressive, hurting behaviour. Place clear limits on hurting others. This communicates to your child, that other people have feelings that must be respected. The child who is allowed to hurt people or animals is missing the first step in learning to be empathetic. The church recommends that you give an amount to the local church budget equivalent to 5% of your income. You may place your donations in the yellow envelope that is marked Church Budget. The envelopes are located in the back of the pews in front of you. Thank you for your continued support to the local church. You can also mail your offering to: Toronto West Seventh-day Adventist Church 1621 Albion Rd. Etobicoke, ON M9V 1B6 Stewardship Feature: Wendell Berry in his book The Gift of Good Land alluded to the law of interdependence when he wrote that, “We depend upon other creatures and survive by their deaths. To live, we must daily break the body and shed the blood of Creation. When we do this knowingly, lovingly, skillfully, reverently, it is a sacrament. When we do it ignorantly, greedily, clumsily, destructively, it is a desecration. In such desecration we condemn ourselves to spiritual and moral loneliness, and others to want.” No man is an island. No man stands alone. We are created by a loving God to be our brother’s keeper; loving our neighbours as ourselves. This is the greatest command. Sabbath School Department: God rules the world through the prayers of His people. Therefore His church cannot be deficient in prayer. Please continue to pray and encourage at least five members/friends to attend Sabbath School. General Conference Session: The 60th General Conference Session will be held in San Antonio Texas, USA from July 2—11, 2015. Mae Senior is organizing a bus trip to the conference session.
