Metal Arterial Tubes
Manufactured in the United Kingdom to the highest standards, these slip hub arterial tubes follow a traditional
design and are produced from quality chrome plated brass. They are free of any knurls or occlusions which make
them easy to clean and maintain and ensure constant flow while in use. They attach directly to the tubing from
the injection equipment by simply pushing the hub of the arterial tube into the hose.

Metal Taper Fit Arterial Tubes
These high quality arterial tubes represent a new concept in tube design. They allow for a quick connect/
disconnect system without loss of bore or flow. The selected arterial tube is attached to the female connector
by simultaneously inserting and twisting. The female connector is permanently attached to the injection source.
For other metal injection tubes, plastic injection tubes or hypodermic trocar kits that do not have taper fittings
the male taper adaptor can be used in conjunction with Vinyl 14H injection tubing (Cat No: 761980) and a plastic
connector (Cat No: 709317). When the female connector is not in use, a plug is available to protect against dirt
entering the socket, it also provides protection against leakage of fluid should the stop tap fail or the female
socket be left on a countertop or instrument trolley. As with all the Dodge arterial tubes, they may be purchased
individually or in sets as detailed below.

Metal Threaded Hub Arterial Tubes
Designed to work exclusively with the Dodge range of embalming machines as well as Portiboys, these high
quality metal arterial tubes come with threated hubs so that they can be screwed directly into the stop tap of
the injection line. For ease of use, we are able to provide male and female luer lock adaptors which allow arterial
tubes to be removed and changed by the operator in seconds. With the luer lock adaptors, the male adaptor is
screwed into the stop tap of the injection line, where it remains. A female adaptor is then screwed onto the
threated end of every arterial tube to facilitate quick and easy connection and disconnection. As with all Dodge
arterial tubes, they may be purchased individually or in sets as detailed below.

A low cost set of injection and drainage tubes, designed to
be use when a flexible plastic injection tube is preferred to
metal ones. These tubes are not designed to withstand high
pressures. In use they should be ligated into the artery
being injected. It is not recommended that these tubes be

Drain Tubes
Designed to facilitate the removal of blood from the venous system while arterial injection takes place, these
high quality drainage tubes help to remove superior amounts of drainage from the deceased. With high quality
slip hubs, these drain tubes can be connected to flexible plastic tubing so that drainage can be diverted to a

with a sight glass to monitor fluid flow and an

Magnetic Needle Holder
This attractive magnetic needle holder protects the operator
from being stabbed in the fingers while hunting through draws
or cupboards for suture needles. It is much more hygienic than
sticking needles into polystyrene or sponge blocks, which can
prematurely dull the needle tip. The unit is easily cleaned and
can be mounted on the counter top or screwed onto the wall
after removing the rubber feet. The unit comes with pre drilled
holes, however three screws will be required.

Description: The Dodge Tissue Reducer dries moist tissue, smoothes out wrinkles, recreates obliterated facial characteristics
and reduces swelling from oedematous conditions or over-injection of arterial fluid by the external application of heat. It
delivers just the right amount of heat for treating human tissue and maintains a constant ideal temperature even after continual
use over cold tissue. The tips have been designed so that the desired effects can be achieved quickly and with a limited number
of passes. A note of caution however, excess contact with a reducing iron will tend to leatherise the treated area.
Directions For Use: To obtain the best results, the Tissue Reducer should be used immediately after embalming, before the
tissues have become fixed. Results may still be obtained up to five days after embalming has taken place. Apply a heavy
coat of White Kalon Massage Cream to the area to be treated. Do Not use Vaseline or similar petroleum products; they
tend to make heat treated tissues spongy and harder to cosmetise.
The small tip can be used for wrinkles, minor swelling around the eyes or thickened nostrils. Hold the instrument like a
pencil and reform natural wrinkles and facial lines lost through oedema or other swelling. Use the large tip for swollen lips,
jowls, checks and temples. When treating severely distended lips, apply the large tip inside the mouth if possible. Otherwise
apply to the lips externally.
Insert the desired tip into the end of the instrument and tighten the grub screw. Plug in and allow the instrument to heat for
five minutes. The tip of the instrument should be hot enough to make the Massage Cream sizzle when touched. Pass the tip
of the instrument over the tissue with a smooth, continuous movement. Use very light pressure for wrinkles. Increase the
pressure slightly to reduce swelling. Three to six passes of the instrument should smooth eyelids and other delicate tissues.
One should avoid prolonged ironing of tissues. The application of excess heat will dehydrate tissues. Replace the layer of
massage cream as it melts and the instrument scrapes it away. Do Not allow the tip of the iron to rest in one spot for too
long. When treating the lips, an especially heavy layer of massage cream should be applied before treatment. Any accidental
burn marks can be covered with Dodge Perma Cosmetics, which adheres to burned tissue very well. Any massage cream
stuck to the tip of the instrument can be easily removed with Dodge Dry Wash and a cloth or Webril Towel.
Caution: Do not touch the heated tip of the instrument with bare hands. Always allow the instrument to cool completely
before changing the tip. Do Not allow the heated tip of the instrument to contact hair or any flammable materials. Avoid
scorching eyelashes, which could turn the eyelids outwards. Allow massage cream to remain on treated areas of tissue until
it has completely cooled. Premature removal of massage cream may produce an artificial ‘’Skin Slip’’. The instrument should
not be unplugged until the treatment is completed.
Special Note on Waxes: Restorative waxes were once made with such stiff consistencies that they often needed softening
with high heat or flame. Modern waxes become pliable with heat from the hand of the operator. The Dodge Tissue Reducer
should not be used with waxes. If extra heat is required, a heat lamp, light bulb or hair dryer should be used. When working
on wax which has been applied to facial features, should heat be required, a spatula may be warmed using hot water before
being used for forming.
