ARCHERY CAMS SUPPLEMENTS GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND ADJUSTMENT OF DRAW LENGTH Cyber SX Cam Ignitor 3 Single Cam Lightning Cam Micro Cyber Cam Hyper-Max & Micro-Max Cam WARNING: A FULL OR PARTIAL DRY FIRE OF ANY BOW CAN CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO LIMBS, CAMS, AXLES, SPACERS, PIVOTS OR STRINGS. SHOULD THIS EVER OCCUR, HAVE YOUR BOW INSPECTED IMMEDIATELY BY YOUR ARCHERY DEALER OR PRO SHOP BEFORE DRAWING OR SHOOTING. Browning Trademarks licensed from Browning PN A60190 ECLIPSE SLX, ECLIPSE SL-36, MIRAGE SX, MIRAGE 33 TORNADO & AMBUSH XB CYBER CAM ™ CYBER CAM SX ™ ADJUSTING DRAW LENGTH AND LET-OFF The Eclipse SLX, Eclipse SL-36, Mirage SX, Mirage 33 and Ambush XB have 3" of draw length adjustment in 1/2" increments and actual let-off settings of 80% w/ 65% option. The Tornado has 5" of draw length adjustment, also in 1/2" increments and let-off settings of 75% w/ 65% option. The draw length and let-off is adjusted the same way for all Cyber Cam and Ignitor 3 Cam model bows. Lo FIGURE B ng er Sh or ter NOTE: IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE STRING ON ANY OF THE BOW MODELS MENTIONED IN THIS BOOKLET, PLEASE SEE YOUR ARCHERY DEALER OR PRO SHOP FOR HELP. CHANGING DRAW LENGTH IGNITOR 3 ™ FIGURE A You will notice that the Cyber Cam and Ignitor 3 Cam consist of three layers or tracks. The draw length setting is found on the inner cam (middle track.) Note the letters and hash marks on the middle track (Figure A). “A” is the longest draw length setting, “C” or “E”(depending on your model bow), is the shortest setting. Moving the middle track down the alphabet, for example, from “A” to “B,” “B” to “C,” etc., shortens the draw length one whole inch. Moving from a letter to a hash mark between the letters, shortens or lengthens the draw length in 1/2" increments, so you can precisely fit your draw length. FIGURE C NOTE: IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO RELAX YOUR BOW TO CHANGE DRAW LENGTH OR LET-OFF. IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO RELAX YOUR BOW Remove the flathead socket screw with a 3/32" Allen wrench at the top of the middle track (Figure B). You may have to move the string aside to access the screw. Completely remove the screw and rotate the middle track until your desired draw length, indicated by a letter or hash mark, is at the pointer, or sharp end of the cam (Figure C). The screw will line up and drop into one of the two holes as the middle track is rotated to your Poin t er . r fo raw e at er d t Ro o r t sh selected mark. Use the Allen wrench to tighten the screw. This is all that is required to adjust your draw length. ADRENALINE SX ADRENALINE 33 IMPULSE LS FIGURE D ADJUSTING LET-OFF At the bottom or end of the inner cam is a small rectangular block with a socket screw in the middle (Figure D). This is the let-off module. At one end is the number “65.” If this figure or indicator is toward the outside of the cam, and aligned with the string groove, the bow is at the lowest. If the figure 65 is inside or opposite the string groove, the bow is set for the greatest let-off. Merely loosening the screw and turning the let-off modular bar around 180° changes let-off. (Note) The Ignitor3 Cam has no let-off adjustment When changing let-off, be certain you have the small rubber cushion properly installed under the module. The rubber tab must extend beyond the block (Figure E). This helps to cushion the string as it reaches your draw length and absorbs string noise. Please note that the serving separation where it bends around various radiuses on the cam is normal and does not mean the string is broken or cut. Snug the screw down, but do not overtighten. This is all that is necessary to change your let-off. Let-off module LIGHTNING ADJUSTABLE CAM FIGURE E GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Adrenaline SX, Adrenaline 33 and Impulse LS bows are some of the world’s fastest, adjustable twocam bows. The Lightning cam allows extreme arrow velocities while maintaining a three-inch draw length range in 1/2" increments. Plus, you get a smooth draw cycle, a hard stop at full draw and 70% actual let-off. String groove Rubber tab Aligned let off module with string groove. CHANGING DRAW LENGTH Changing the draw length on a bow with Lightning Cams is quite simple. It is not necessary to use a bow press to do so. You will notice that the Lightning cam consists of two main pieces: the oval-shaped inner cam and the larger main cam (Figure A). The top and bottom inner cams are stamped with either a “T” or “B” for Top and Bottom. To adjust draw length, completely remove the two flat-head socket screws with a 5/64" Allen wrench from both top and bottom inner cams. If one of the screws is hidden by the limb and difficult to access, squeeze the buss cable aside which will rotate the cam slightly to access the head (Figure B). With both screws removed, rotate the oval inner cam until the index mark or pointer is aligned with the letters “A”, “B”, or “C”, or to the hash marks between the letters (Figure C). Moving from one letter to the adjacent letter changes the draw length approximately one inch. Moving from a letter to a hash mark in between the letters changes the draw length 1/2." Therefore, moving from “A” to “B,” or “B” to “C” shortens the draw length 1." Moving the opposite direction from “C” to “B” for example, lengthens the draw length by 1" (Figure C). FIGURE A MICRO ECLIPSE FIGURE B NOTE: IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE STRING ON YOUR MICRO ECLIPSE BOW, PLEASE SEE YOUR ARCHERY DEALER OR PRO SHOP FOR HELP. Main Cam Inner Cam NOTE: MAKE CERTAIN THAT YOU ADJUST BOTH TOP AND BOTTOM CAMS TO THE SAME SETTINGS. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL CAUSE THE BOW TO DRAW UNEVENLY. REPLACE BOTH FLATHEAD SOCKET SCREWS IN THE THREADED HOLES THAT LINE UP WITH THE MAIN CAM. TIGHTEN EACH SCREW. WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRAW THE BOW UNTIL ALL ADJUSTMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO BOTH CAMS. BE CERTAIN YOU HAVE REPLACED AND TIGHTENED THE SCREWS ON BOTH THE TOP AND BOTTOM CAM. FIGURE C In de x MICRO CYBER CAM M ar GENERAL DESCRIPTION k r S Longe horter The Micro Eclipse bow is the industry’s first ever adjustable Micro-Class one-cam bow. Micro- Class bowhunters and shorter draw-length archers will enjoy a full 5" of draw length adjustment, Micro-Class overall bow proportions, and a lightweight riser design. CHANGING DRAW LENGTH Adjusting the Micro Eclipse bow over its 5" of draw length is very simple. It is not necessary to use a bow press to do so. You will notice that the Micro Cyber Cam consists of three layers or tracks: the main cam, inner cam and the payout track. The draw length adjustment is found on the inner cam (middle track). Note the letters “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” “E,” on the middle track (Figure A). “A” is the longest draw length setting, or 25,"“E” is the shortest setting, or 21." Moving the middle track down the alphabet, say, from “A” to “B”, “B” to “C” , etc., shortens the draw length one inch. Remove the flathead socket screw with a 3/32" Allen wrench at the top of the middle track. FIGURE C Pointer or e f draw tat Ro r t e r sho HYPER-MAX CAM MICRO-MAX CAM GENERAL DESCRIPTION CHANGING DRAW LENGTH Here are two of the industry’s fastest and most adjustable twocam bows in the micro class. This class includes shorter drawlength archers. Often it is difficult for these archers to find a performance bow with these features. The new Hyper-Max and Micro-Max cams provide an incredible 6" of draw length adjustment with a full 65% let-off. Also, as the draw length increases, the draw weight increases, so the bow grows with the younger shooter. The Hyper-Max & Micro-Max cam consists of three main pieces: the oval-shaped inner cam, inner hubs, and the large main cam (Figure A). To adjust draw length, a 5/64" flathead socket wrench or hex key is used to completely remove two Allen screws from the main cam (Figure B). Manually rotate the inner cam to letters “A”, “B” or “C”, then install the two screws. Letter “A” is the longest setting, letter “C” is the shortest (Figure C). Changing from one letter to the adjacent letter changes the draw length approximately one inch. FIGURE A Inner Cam FIGURE B head socket screw in this axle hub located adjacent to the axle itself (Figure D). On the opposite side of the cam, adjacent to the axle, the main cam is stamped with an “L” and an “S” (Figure E). The end of the hex screw should be visible in one of the two holes marked “L” or “S.” If the hex screw is in the “S” hole, your bow can be adjusted over the “short” end of its range. To access the “long” end of your bow’s range (17-27 inches), do the following: FIGURE E FIGURE C WARNING: THE FOLLOWING ADJUSTMENT SHOULD BE MADE BY A QUALIFIED BOW TECHNICIAN. 1. Relax the bow using a bow press. Once the bow is relaxed, unwrap the bowstring take-up cable from the outer cam to completely remove tension from the cams and axles. 2. Remove the “e” clip from the end of the axle and slide the axle out of the limb. The axle, two string pulley spacers and composite spacers are all free from the limb (Figure F). NOTE: THE FACE OF THE TOP OUTER CAM IS STAMPED WITH A “T” AND THE FACE OF THE BOTTOM OUTER CAM IS STAMPED WITH A “B”. THE EXPOSED FACE OF THE INNER CAM IS LABELED TO MATCH THE OUTER CAM– WITH EITHER “T” OR “B”. THE TWO LETTERS MUST MATCH (FIGURE G). FIGURE F Main Cam Inner Hub NOTE: IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO USE A BOW PRESS TO CHANGE THE DRAW LENGTH WITHIN 3" OF DRAW. HOWEVER, IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO USE A PRESS TO MOVE FROM THE “SHORT” TO “LONG” SETTING ON THE INNER HUB. THIS “SHORT” AND “LONG” SETTING IS REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE THE FULL 6" OF DRAW LENGTH ADJUSTMENT. WARNING: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN SCREWS AND DEFORM THE INNER CAM. Adjust the opposite cam to the same letter setting using the above procedures. Both top and bottom cams must be on the same letter setting. Because the Hyper-Max and Micro-Max cam are adjustable over a 6-inch range instead of a 3-inch range, there is one additional adjustment to be made. The inner cam on both the MicroMax and Hyper Max cam pivots on a composite axle hub. Note the flat FIGURE D e Inn In u rH Hub ner b Scre w FIGURE G 3. Remove the two flat head socket screw in the inner cam using a 5/64" Allen wrench and remove the composite inner cam from the outer cam and round axle hub (Figure H). 4. Remove the flat head socket screw from the axle hub using a 5/64" Allen wrench (Figure H) and pivot the hub so the range adjustment screw hole is positioned over the “L” hole labeled on the opposite side of the cam (Figure I). 5. Replace the flat head socket screw in the axle hub range adjustment hole marked “L” as seen from the opposite side (Figure E). 6. Replace the composite inner cam with the two flat head socket screws. Note: You will now need to use a different set of holes on the inner cam.
