FSMTA 2011 Annual Convention
Welcome to the
2011 Annual Convention
On behalf of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association, we would like to invite you to attend our 2011
Annual Convention at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. This year, our theme is “Waves of Possibilities.”
We are pleased to offer a variety of classes from which you can choose to receive up to 20 hours of LIVE
classroom CE credit. There will be many opportunities to network with other therapists and shop in our topranked tradeshow which is attended by some of the best-known massage-related companies. Plus, you have
the chance to enjoy a 4-star luxury hotel at drastically reduced rates. You just can’t afford to miss this year’s
convention! As in previous years, only full convention pre-registrations will include the Saturday Banquet. All
student attendees and all on-site registrations may purchase tickets to the banquet, if they are available. After
the banquet, the dance will be open to all; semi-formal attire is requested.
In addition to the great classes being offered, the Successful Start Program is being held on Wednesday, June
22, from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. This is a free program available only to massage therapy students and newlylicensed therapists (licensed within the past two years). This program features speakers who are well-known in
the industry and you will take away great tips to help you with your practice. This program is limited to the first
300 who sign up and RSVP is required, so don’t wait to get in on this exciting event.
Currently, the following companies are supporting and sponsoring the FSMTA and the 2011 Convention and
Successful Start Program: ACE Massage Cupping, American Massage Council, Barral Institute/Upledger
Institute, FSMTA’s 19 Chapters, Massage Envy, Massage Warehouse, National Certification Board for
Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and Performance Health, Inc. Please stop by their booths in the exhibit
hall and express your thanks for their help in promoting and supporting your Association and the entire
massage profession.
The exhibit hall will be open Thursday evening for a welcome party and then all day Friday and Saturday,
for you to take advantage of the wonderful products and services offered by our vendors. The companies
continue to support us with their presence, and we know you will find something you can use to enhance your
practice. For every $10 you spend in the exhibit hall, you will get a prize drawing ticket from the FSMTA
Hospitality Desk. Our vendors have donated many wonderful items which will be raffled off during
the tradeshow, and you do not want to miss out on a chance to win one of the fabulous
prizes! Cash drawings will also be held in the exhibit hall.
This is the premier massage therapy convention and tradeshow in the country…and
one not to be missed! Get your registration form in early…classes fill up quickly and
you don’t want to be left out!
We look forward to seeing you at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld!

PRESENTS
SANCTUARY
ORLANDO, FLORiDA
June 22 - 25, 2011
An oasis of calm awaits you in Booth 632 at the exciting and fun filled FSMTA Convention in Orlando, Florida.
Here, attendees and exhibitors alike find an unparalleled opportunity to unwind while being treated to fabulous
10 minute treatments for the face or feet.
For each 10 minute treatment, a donation of $10 will be collected and presented to the Touch Research Institute.
Participants can indulge in as many treatments as they like for a donation of $10 for each treatment received.
10 minute treatment offerings include basic reflexology, stone massage, exfoliation, hot/cold contrast protocols, herbal
ball treatment and facial rejuvenating techniques in a format anyone can add to the end of a regular massage.
Our goal is to provide education regarding easy-to-perform techniques any therapist can incorporate into their client
offerings. Our support of the Touch Research Institute is one we are extremely proud of, and our mission is to raise a
significant amount of money to help facilitate more research in the field of Massage Therapy.
After your pampering, be sure to visit and shop at Massage Warehouse in Booth 524, directly across from our Sanctuary!
