os W a v es of P si b ili ti e s FSMTA 2011 Annual Convention Welcome to the 2011 Annual Convention On behalf of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association, we would like to invite you to attend our 2011 Annual Convention at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. This year, our theme is “Waves of Possibilities.” We are pleased to offer a variety of classes from which you can choose to receive up to 20 hours of LIVE classroom CE credit. There will be many opportunities to network with other therapists and shop in our topranked tradeshow which is attended by some of the best-known massage-related companies. Plus, you have the chance to enjoy a 4-star luxury hotel at drastically reduced rates. You just can’t afford to miss this year’s convention! As in previous years, only full convention pre-registrations will include the Saturday Banquet. All student attendees and all on-site registrations may purchase tickets to the banquet, if they are available. After the banquet, the dance will be open to all; semi-formal attire is requested. In addition to the great classes being offered, the Successful Start Program is being held on Wednesday, June 22, from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. This is a free program available only to massage therapy students and newlylicensed therapists (licensed within the past two years). This program features speakers who are well-known in the industry and you will take away great tips to help you with your practice. This program is limited to the first 300 who sign up and RSVP is required, so don’t wait to get in on this exciting event. In the following years William was named the 2007 Sports Team Member of the Year and in 2010 he was named the FSMT State Sports Team Director. Through being apart of the sports team he has been able to develop his leadership skill and along the way the events which William has worked gave him the platform to develop this APSM class. Cherie Sohnen-Moe: Cherie is an author, business coach and international workshop leader. She has been a successful business owner since 1978. Before shifting her focus to education and coaching, she was a massage practitioner for many years. She served as a faculty member at the Desert Institute of Healing Arts and the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Cherie has written hundreds of articles, authored the book, Business Mastery, and co-authored The Ethics of Touch. James Waslaski: He is an author and international lecturer teaching approximately 40 seminars per year around the globe. He’s developed orthopedic massage and sports injury DVDs and authored manuals on Advanced Orthopedic Massage and Client Self Care. James presents at state, national, and international massage, chiropractic, and osteopathic conventions including keynote addresses at the FSMTA, World of Wellness, and Australian National Massage Conventions.
