ANNUAL SPORTS
Jamgara
School
of HOPE
arranged Annual Sports Day
on 1st February. The chief
guest was the respectable
Chairman of Yarpur Union.
Some guardians were also
present in that program. All
the students were present in
that program. The program
started at 9.30 am. The
chairman of Yarpur Union gave greetings and valuable speech. Different types of games
were in the annual sports, such as race, potato collection, frog jump, sack race, niddle race,
skipping, high jump, long jump, shot put throw, rele race etc. Teachers conducted all the
games. Everybody enjoyed seeing all the games when students were playing. There was a
special game for all teachers. When all the games ended, we had the prize giving ceremony.
Our respectable Chairman gave some prizes to the students. Our Program Director, Program
Coordinator and special guest- our land lord also gave prizes to the students who were the
winners in the game.
INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY
21st
February
was
observed
as
the
International Mother Language Day in
Jamgara School of HOPE. The program
began at 7:15 am. About 180 students
participated in this program without shoes
and wore a black badge. Before this day,
students decorated the Shohid Minar
(monument) in the campus. We remembered the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in 1952
for the establishment of their mother language. In this day the flag was kept half past. The
program started with assembly. Then they kept one minute silence in rememberance of the
martyrs. After these, the students gave different kinds of flowers to the Shohid Minar.
During this time the song “Amar vaiyer rokte rangano ekushe February, ami ki vulite pari“
was sang by the students. On this day, the students came to know the event of revolution of
our mother tongue in 1952. They have also learnt, why it happened in Bangladesh. The
program was successfully finished by singing the song “Salam salam, hajar salam, sokol
shahid sharone”.
STUDY TOUR
On 23th February, we arranged a
study tour. All the students of
class 6 to 10 participated in this
program. All the students were
divided into 10 groups. Groups
were led by the teachers. The
students wore different groups
colour badge on that day. We
arranged
two
bus and
we
started for Comilla Moinamoti, a
historical place. Our journey
started at 8 am and we reached there by 1pm. Firstly, we saw the Second World War
Cemetery. Then we visited some historical sites and ‘Moinamoti Museum’. Students took
special lunch after visiting the museum. At last, we entered into the Moynamoti Shal Bon
Bihar and observed all Buddhist Temple and Hostels there. All these sites were more than
1000 years old. All the teachers explained about the sites in a friendly manner so that the
students could gain knowledge. We returned from there at 5 pm.
ANNUAL SCIENCE FAIR (INTERNAL)
On 25th February, we arranged Annual Science Fair. We started our program at 9:30 am and
finished by 3:00 pm. We had two secessions, Science quiz and Science project. First one and
half
hour
we
had
science,
Internet and Math quiz. Total 56
students participated in the quiz.
Then we had Science project,
total nine groups participated.
Each group had two persons who
prepared the project. In three
sections of the quiz 1st, 2nd and
3rd total 9 primary students and
12 high school students were
awarded with science and math books. In the project section Earthquake Alarm, Mini Rocket
and Class Room Blog project selected as 1st, 2nd and 3rd. They were awarded with Pen
drive, Memory Card and Card Readers. In future, these winners group will get ready for the
school level external Science Competition.
PARENTS MEETING
On
25th
February,
the
school
arranged the 1st Parents Meeting of
this year. The program began at
3:30pm.
Total
127
parents
participated in this program. We
discussed
about
the
study
of
students, Parents awareness about
their children’s study. We discussed
about education system, teaching
materials, uniforms, study tour,
Children Rights in the family. We organized one Drama about Early Marriage and one Dance.
The program was successfully finished by giving snacks to all parents. This program ended at
5:00pm.
CAPTAIN ELECTION
On 10th February, students had
their class captain election. They
elected one boy and one girl from
each class for this year as class
captain. This was a leadership
practice in the class room and the
students groups.
VOCATIONAL SECTION CERTIFICATE DISTRIBUTION
On
22nd
February,
44
vocational students have got
their computer and sewing
certificates after their three
months successful learning.
Among
them,
22
were
computer students and 22
were
sewing
students.
Among 22 sewing students,
9 were school students. Now
these students can make
their own dressVocational trainers and Program Coordinator gave their valuable advice.
Students also shared their condition before and after the training and how they were
benefited from the training. All the students were very happy after getting their certificates.
They gave thanks to HOPE and the donors because of such kinds of social activities.

INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY OBSERVE
We celebrated the International
Mother Language Day on 22
February. 65 boys and 65 girls
students;
total
130
students
participate in this program. On this
day students came to the school
and gave flowers to monument
with due respect to the martyrs
who died for mother tongue in
1952. They did Assembly after
offering flowers. When the students were standing on the Assembly the teachers drew
Bengali letter on their face. Senior Teacher Gulrun Nahar Lucky discussed about the
importance of the International Mother Language Day. The students arranged a cultural
program. They acted a drama, sang song patriotic song.
A drawing competition was held for the Day shift students from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm. The
topic of the Drawing Competition was Shohid Minar. Three winners were given prize.
NEW UNIFORM DONATED BY THE EPIC GROUP
Students got new uniform on 2nd
February. The uniform was donated
by the EPIC Group. The students of
Sewing Section of Jamgara Project
stiched the uniforms. The delegates
from the EPIC Group came and
distributed the uniforms among the
students.
All
uniform,

got
socks.
The
students
did
a
cultural
program on this occasion.
They were so grateful to the
donors.
Story of Halima
Halima’s family came to Ashulia
from Srepur in the district of
Sunamgonj about four years ago for
searching job or better income.
Halima got admitted in class one. At
present, she is 12 years old and
studying in class two. Her father’s
name is Shofiq and mother’s name
is Sohena. The family consists of
five members. She has one elder
brother and one younger sister. Halima’s father is a Garments worker and her mother is a
housewife. Their family income is about Tk 8000/= (USD 100) per month. Halima came to
know about HOPE School from a neighboring student who is studying in HOPE School. She is
about her studies. She tries to participate in all activities as per curriculum.
Halima used to gets uniform, shoes, bag, study materials and mid-day meal regularly.
Previously, she was very weak in English but after getting admission in HOPE School the
weakness is reduced with the help of her hard work and the support of her teachers. She
wants to be a Reporter in future.

Computer Section:
Current session (session -17) started from 16 January 2016 and will continue till 15 April
2016. In this running session, all together from 3 shifts, 15 students are officially enlisted
and student collection process is still on and will continue.
Industrial Sewing Section:
Current session (session - 7) started from 16 January 2016 and will continue till 15 April
2016. Total no. of students is 15. Survey and the other collection process are on.
Tailoring Section: Current session (Session -17) started on 16 January 2016 and will continue
till 15 April 2016. Total no. of student is 8.
