SESSION
"THE TRUE VALUE PROPOSITION OF A CINEMA-GOER: IT’S TIME
TO CULTIVATE A LIFETIME OF SUPPORT"
MODERATOR:
MARK DE QUERVAIN, Managing Director, Action Marketing Works
PANEL MEMBERS:
STEFAAN CLAES, International CRM & Digital Marketing Director,
Kinepolis
JACOB ELKÆR-HANSEN, Sales & Marketing Director, Nordisk Film
Biografer
The average cinema-goer in their lifetime generates surprisingly only
around $1,700 operating profit to a cinema. This session takes a look into
the implications of this and shows with examples why developing and
implementing a long-term ‘Customer Roadmap Strategy’ can radically
change your marketing and programming approach to drive significant
incremental revenue. We also demonstrate why it is so critical to build a
strong cinema going habit from a young age and suggest some solutions
how this might be done.
"WORLD WAR GENERATION Z: THE GLOBAL FIGHT TO ATTRACT
NEW MOVIEGOERS"
PRESENTED BY:
BILL ALBERTI, Senior Vice President, Strategy, Communispace
Generation Z. Nearly 2 billion strong around the world. The child of the
Gen X’er… pretty much anyone under the age of 20. It is a generation
increasingly at odds with the moviegoing experience. In this session we’ll
discuss the behaviors of and the barriers to the moviegoing experience
for Gen Z. While the challenges are significant, the opportunity inspired
by this generation COULD be greater…IF we can learn to adapt and
create new experiences for them and with them. This session will begin
to explore how.
"CINEMACON 2015: DIGITAL CINEMA UPDATE GLOBALLY

The evolution of the cinema experience continues to evolve at a rapid
pace. 2D is far from the norm. 3D was the next step with 4D following.
Taking a page from "Star Trek" technological developments are moving
at "warp" speed as the total theatrical experience is now called the
"Immersive" Experience. It involves almost all of our senses and is taking
us boldly where no man has gone before. This panel will engage with a
number of technology companies and leading exhibitors to find out the
key elements when introducing new technology into the cinema
environment. The three key determinants of sight, seats and sound will
be assessed, identifying where the value-added lies and what are the
issues around premium pricing and technology development.

"INSIDE OUT"
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is
uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San
Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (voice of
Amy Poehler), Fear (voice of Bill Hader), Anger (voice of Lewis Black),
Disgust (voice of Mindy Kaling), and Sadness (voice of Phyllis Smith).
The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind,
where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her
emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues
in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion,
tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate
a new city, house, and school. Directed by: Pete Docter ("Up", "Monsters,
Inc."). Co-directed by: Ronaldo Del Carmen. Produced by Jonas Rivera.

The motion picture industry is a year-round business. There continues to
be a rallying call for more, diversified product to fill screens, not just
domestically, but globally. The major studios are doing more than their
part in providing the all-important tentpole and mid-range budget films
that appeal to the masses. But there is an important need for smaller,
more personalized, niche films as there is an audience out there craving
for what we all call independent fare. This session will key-in on the world
