MEDIUM TOMATOES
Black Zebra- 78 days, indet., regular leaf, 3-4 oz round black fruits with green stripes.
Black Sea Man- Russian heirloom from Marina Danilenko. Small plants produce medium-sized brownish-pink fruits with
olive green shading. Well marbled flesh is attractive when blanched and peeled. Rich flavor. Potato leaf foliage. Determinate, 75
days from transplant.
Debarao Ukranian- This heirloom produces an abundant crop of deep-red, paste tomatoes. Fruits are 3-4 oz., oval
and crack free. Matures earlier than most Italian plum types. Lots of rich tomato flavors. Great for snacking, sauces and salads.
De Barrao Black Ukranian- Small, egg shaped brownish-red-purple fruit have a fabulous spicy, sweet, rich
taste. Unbelievably heavy yields of 2-4 oz. tomatoes smother the vines in fruit. This tomato is early and keeps producing scads of
darling, flawless fruit all season long until hard frost. Indeterminate. 75 days.
Japanese Black Trifele- A fairly rare tomato variety known for its superior quality fruits which ripen to a
deep red-black color and pear shape. Originally from Russia, this variety bears medium-sized fruits with a rich flavor. Potato leaved
plants. 80 days.
Nyougus- A prolific, rare, Russian tomato variety. Beautiful, smooth, round, black tomatoes that are dark mohagany with
dark grey-green shoulders. Nyagous is a wonderfully firm and blemish-free, 6 oz. tomato with lots of sweet, complex fruit flavors
and a clean acidic finish. Up to 6 fruits to a cluster. Nyagous is resistant to cracking. Indeterminate. 76 days.
Opalka- One of the best tasting paste tomatoes on the market, the Opalka has a delicious flavor and few seeds. The fruits
might look like you are growing red peppers, as they ripen to red, with a blocky, ovaloid shape. Fruits grow to 5 inches and are
borne in small clusters. Indeterminate. 85 days.
Plum Tigris- A Russian commercial variety, introduced to North America by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus in the
early 2000s. Andrey did not translate the name correctly, and it became known in North America as Plum Tigris The original name
is Slivovidnyi Polosatyi.
Pink Boar- Striking looks and outrageous flavor that is sweet, rich and juicy distinguish this heirloom tomato cross. Regular leaf plants produce an abundance of 2 to 4 oz. fruits that are port wine in color with metallic silver green stripes and dark
colored flesh. Indeterminate. ~75 days.
Red Peach- From Russia. A fuzzy skinned 19th century variety producing lots of 2 inch deliciously flavored fruit. Eat as
fresh as possible as this does not store well. Looks like a miniature peach. Probably the sweetest tasting of the Angora varieties.
Sungella- 70 days Crosses ever-popular Sungold with a larger, orange-skinned heirloom to create these orange, golfball sized fruits. Plants produce heavy trusses of 2-oz. fruits with superb flavor and low acidity, juicy and sweet. Harvest July to
September. Indeterminate.
Tatar of Mongolistan- Heirloom from the Steppes of Asia. Medium-sized fruit are very flavorful, red, and flattened in shape. Great fresh or dried. 80 days.
Tigerella- Highly productive, English vine that produces beautiful, silver-dollar sized, round fruits with red-orange skin
with golden-green to yellow jagged stripes. Red-orange, juicy flesh. Brisk, tangy (tart) flavor. Indeterminate. Midseason.
Turkish stripped Monastery- This variety was collected at a monastery garden just outside of Istanbul,
Turkey. Small 2 inch fruit are beautifully striped, red and gold. One of the best flavored small striped tomatoes. Good production
all summer. Just recently introduced to the USA. Indeterminate. 80-85 days.
Marmande- French heirloom. Produces dependable heavy, clusters of 6-ounce deep red, slightly flattened, oblate fruits
that are meaty, lightly lobed and contain an excellent, complex, slightly tart taste. This variety also does well in the cooler
summer conditions of California's bay areas. An all-round great tomato for slicing.
CHERRY TOMATOES
Brown Berry- Indeterminate , regular-leaf plants that yield exceptionally large crops of mahogany (brick-red) brown
colored, 1-inch, round, open-pollinated cherry tomatoes. The Brown Berry cherry tomato has excellent semi-sweet, rich flavors
with just a slight bit of acid finish over its fruity sweetness. Very Juicy! A great snacking or salad tomato to mix with your other
colored tomatoes.
Ceylon- A tomato like you've probably never seen before, these small, ruffled red fruit are unique in appearance, but
distinctive in flavor also. Their taste is rich and assertive, slightly sweet with a bit of zing added in. Only about 2 inches across,
these flattened scalloped tomatoes appear in great profusion, perfect for cutting into halves for a salad or using on plates as
a garnish. Indeterminate. 72 days.
Earl of Edgecombe- When the 6th Earl of Edgecombe died in the 1960's, the heir to the title of 7th Earl was a
relative in New Zealand who was a sheep farmer at the time. When he traveled to England to claim the title, he brought this
tomato with him. The seeds for this New Zealand heirloom were made available through Carolyn Male, who found it the best of
her 1996 seed trials. The smooth, 3-inch, round, uniformly ripening fruits are beautiful orange globes, typically borne in clusters of
two or more. Flesh is firm, meaty and exceptionally flavorful.
Egg from Phucket- 1 inch firm egg shaped tomatoes are solid white with a swirly rose blush. This incredibly beautiful variety is very firm and long keeping, meant to
withstand the high heat of a wok for stir-frying. Really a specialty tomato, I have never cooked with anything like them and they
are immediately a seasonal staple in my kitchen! We are very excited to offer these.
Forest Fire- Extra early tomato with attractive 3" red fruit firm and crack resistant. The small determinate vines are
vigorous when well manured, producing fruit earlier, larger than other varieties. Excellent concentrated yields. Good multi-use
tomatoes for coastal, high mountain, or first-of-season situations. Determinate. 45-50 days.
Galinas- Heirloom yellow cherry tomato, originally from Siberia. Large, sprawling, regular leaf plants that prolifically
yield copious amounts of golden-yellow, cherry tomatoes about the size of a quarter produced in long, full clusters. The flavor
very sweet with a delicious richness and complexity. A fantastic snacking tomato in the garden, and great for brightening up
salads or pizza. Indeterminate. 75 days.
Gobstopper- A cherry tomato with style points, its yellow skinned with neon green juice. The kids have fun telling us its
not a tomato!
Kent Wheatleys Frost resistant- Nice red pink cherry tomato with good frost tolerance, determinate
Mirabelle Blanche- a good salad tomato.. flavor without high acid. The color is actually a pale yellow when fully
mature in our gardens. Each plant has extremely vigerous growth - best grown with extensive staking to ensure the numerous
fruits can be located among the foliage.
Red Fig- The Red Fig is an heirloom tomato named for a sweet delicacy that was made with this tomato and popular in the
mid 1800s. Historically they were dried and packed away for winter use in substitute for figs. Big leafy, indeterminate, regular-leaf
tomato plants yield hundreds of 1 1/2-inch, pear-shaped, bright-red cherry tomatoes that have wonderful, delicious, sweet flavors
with a very sweet skin, making this a delightful snacking tomato. A perfect choice to serve in a tomato salad and to use for making delicious tomato chutney. Indeterminate. 85 days.
Snow White- An incredibly early and prolific producer of large juicy cherries which are a creamy white color! Flavor is
very low in acid and makes stunning salads when mixed with chocolate cherry, gobstopper, Galinas, and Forest Fire tomatoes. One
of our favorite varieties!
LARGE
TOMATOES
Aunt Ginnys Purple- 90 days, indet., potato leaf, pink beefsteak type fruits, 7-9 oz, some fruits are up to 1 lb, outstanding flavor, very sweet, favorite tomatoes for flavor, well worth growing for flavor.
Anna Russian- 80 days, indet., thin skin, wispy foliage, regular leaf, 5-17 oz pink, heart shaped fruit, excellent taste, good
yield. one of our overall favorite fresh eating tomatoes.
Beauty King- This variety is the result of a cross between two great heirlooms, Big Rainbow and Green Zebra. The result
is a plant that produces large, gorgeous bi-color fruits that are yellow with flashy red stripes on the outside and yellow with
bright red streaks on the inside. Very meaty fruits have an excellent, sweet tomato flavor. ~80 days. Indeterminate.
Boondocks- Luscious pink-purple beefsteak fruit grow to at least 1 lb., and have a superb, rich flavor, high in both sugar
and acid. The tomatoes are smooth in shape and may be compared to those of Brandywine. Potato-leaved plants become large and
are quite productive. Indeterminate. 80 days.
Cherokee Green- Another variety from heirloom tomato collector Craig LeHoullier who grew out Cherokee
Chocolate from another seed saver in 1997. One plant gave him a cross that stayed green when ripe. He then stabilized this seed for
Cherokee Green. They produce big, leafy, regular-leaf plants similar to Cherokee Purple that yields 12-16 oz. beefsteak tomatoes
that are amber green with a yellowish hue when ripe. This is one of the best tasting, most flavorful of all the green tomatoes. A
very fine slicer tomato good as a salad tomato, a slicer for sandwiches and yes, give this a try for a delicious pasta sauce.
Chocolate Stripes- Very large regular-leaf tomato plants yield a plentiful crop of 3-4 inches,
mahogany colored fruits with dark, olive green-striping (similar to black zebra). Fruits have delicious, complex, rich, sweet, earthy
tomato flavors. Produces well into the autumn. A great sandwich tomato and salad tomato. Indeterminate. 79 days.
Copia- A Jeff Dawson creation of a cross between green Zebra and Marvel Stripe, named in honor of COPIA (the American
Center of Food, Wine and the Arts). 10 oz., red and yellow striped slicer with great flavor.
Expect long clusters of fruit that can be picked individually with very little cracking. Indeterminate. 90 days.
Cuor di Bue- This Oxheart type Italian heirloom has been a favorite in Italy for many years. Beautiful 12 oz. fruit have
a delicious sweet taste. The fruits, similar to the shape of a heart, are great for fresh eating or cooking. Large vigorous vines.
Indeterminate. 70 days.
Dagmas Perfection- A vigorous and abundant producer of medium-sized 12 oz. slightly flattened, pale-yellow fruits
with delicate, light red striping. Deliciously flavorful with overtones of tropical fruit and subtle hints of lime. Firm, juicy and
elegant in the mouth, and jewel-like in appearance.
Dr. Wyches Yellow- A family heirloom from the United States. Indet., regular leaf, yellow/orange beefsteaks
about 6-16 oz with meaty interior and small seed cavities, no core. Some fruits have some green shoulders. Excellent sweet flavor,
nice texture.
Gold Medal- 75-90 days. The 1 lb fruit are among the smoothest bi-colored tomatoes we carry and are one of the most
beautiful we have seen. Lovely yellow fruit are blushing with rosy red that radiates from the blossom end. The firm flesh is of
superior quality, being sweet and mild. The low acid content makes them great for fresh eating.
Gary Ibsens- Plant produces lots of very juicy, 14 oz. brilliant orange gold globes with tropical fruit flavors with
enough acid balance to guarantee a burst of tomato delight. This heirloom tomato is sure to become a favorite!

Grace Lehmans Pink- This perfectly lovely, perfect pink tomato is a family heirloom from Grace Lahman of Fairview, MO. The 6-oz. fruits are absolutely blemish free and meaty. Very juicy and suitable for canning or eating fresh. Indeterminate.
~75 days. and quite meaty. There is virtually no jel (gel) and very few seeds. Just perfect monster slicers with great flavor but still
very low acid. Indeterminate. 90+ days.
Homer Fike's Yellow Oxheart- This West Virginia heirloom variety produces an abundance of distinctively
beautiful, yellow-gold, heart-shaped, fruit up to 1 lb. Meaty flesh, few seeds and delicious fruit-sweet flavors. Indeterminate. 89
days. early bearer for such a large tomato and the plants do show cold tolerance. 72-75 days.
LARGE
TOMATOES
Kosovo- This wonderful variety came from a former U.N. worker in Kosovo, who passed it down to Carolyn Male. Huge, deep
pink heart-shaped fruit has a sweet rich flavor and is very meaty while still being juicy. Production is excellent and the tomatoes
are simply beautiful, but it is the delectable and intense tomato flavor that really makes this one special. Tomatoes can grow up
to 1 pound, with ranges from 10 to 18 oz. Indeterminate. 75-80 days.
Limmony- From Craig Lehoullier who got seeds from Aaron Whealy. Limmony is one of the first Russian varieties popularized
in the US. An abundant Russian heirloom. Produces 1-16 oz., 4-5", light-yellow beefsteak. Unlike most yellows this one is loaded with
lots of luscious, big sweet tangy flavors. It's been one of my favorite yellows to grow for market.
Malakhitovaya Shkatulka- 70 days-The translated name means Malachite Box, named after the lovely green
boxes that are made from this mineral that comes from the Ural mountains and other areas. This early, light-to-olive green,
medium-sized tomato has succulent bright green flesh that is very flavorful and tasty. Plants are productive even in the North,
as this variety was developed at Svetlana Farm in Russia, and it has been tested in Siberia!
Mexico- Brought to the America by a Mexican family living in the Midwest. This organic tomatos seeds produce very large, indeterminate, regular-leaf, prolific tomato plants that yield huge sets of 1-2 pound, slightly flattened, irregular shaped, dark-pink
beefsteak tomatoes with terrific bold, tomato flavors. Plenty of sweetness with complementary acid flavors. A perfect tomato
for slicing fresh and thick for sandwiches and sliced up in salads. Once you select this variety it will be in your garden every
year. A great showplace tomato for the County Fair.
Noire Charbonneuse- Means black like coal , great cold weather results and a tasty tomato!
Olena Ukrainian- Large potato leaf plant from the Ukraine producing good crops of 1-2 lb, smooth, fluted, blemishfree, solid, sweet, pink beefsteak tomatoes.
Orange Blossom- Possibly the best early-season orange tomato. A medium sized, orange-skinned tomato with juicefilled pulp that has a nice, rich flavor. Fruit are quite uniform in growth and generally weigh a bit over 6oz. Determinate. 60 days.
Persimmon- Exquisitely flavored orange beefsteak-style tomato. The Persimmon may be the best of the orange skinned
varieties, with its rich tomato flavor and large fruits that consistently weigh one pound. Indeterminate. 80 days.
Rev. Morrows Long Keeper- A tall, determinate variety with 6-10 oz, globular fruit that ripens orange-red
with pinkish flesh. The amazing thing about this tomato is its keeping qualities; these have kept until January! Selected for longest
storage time possible, by Merl Neidens. Plant late for storage use, and keep cool in storage. These come from Northern Illinois
and produce well. Determinate. 78 days.
Sandul Moldavian- A highly productive heirloom originally from the Sandul family who brought the seeds from Muldova. Beefsteak-styled fruits are large (1 lb.), pink, slightly flattened globes with firm, creamy flesh and slightly ribbed shoulders.
What makes this variety stand out is its exceptional flavor. A high sugar content with well-balanced acidity. Indeterminate. 85 days.
Sarah Purple- Perfectly round, shinny pink tomatoes with thin skins have excellent deep fruity flavor. From Germany,
these plants are pretty cold tolerant and tomatoes keep ripening well past the first frost. Very rare.
Summer Cider Apricot- Very large orange heirloom variety. The fruit is incredibly tasty, mild and sweet. Nice
creamy texture, super juicy but still meaty, an unusual combination. Summer Cider is starting to take over the winners circle in tomato taste tests all over the country. Even people reluctant to eat any non-red tomato loved this tomato. Indeterminate. 85 days.
True Black Brandywine- A Pennsylvania heirloom dating from the 1920s, this great-tasting tomato includes the
Brandywine among its parents. Its fruits are extra large and full of the deep, earthy and sweet flavor that has made blackishpurple tomatoes so popular. As with Brandywine, there is a tendency for some of the fruits to crack. Superior for salsa and
cooking. A great home garden variety that will surely become a favorite. Indeterminate. 80-90 days.
Virginia Sweets- Beautiful bi-color tomatoes weighing a pound or more. Golden yellow beefsteaks are colored with
red stripes that turn into a ruby blush on top of the golden fruit. Flavor is sweet and rich, and harvests are abundant. Indeterminate. 80 days.
White Zebra- Medium sized, white tomato, with faint green stripes. The White Zebra is a pleasure to the eye and to the
taste, having a nice, sweet flavor with moderate pulp. .
