Tonight, we come together for one purpose: to support the continued growth of our independent Montessori community. For the past three decades, the reputation of The Children’s House has been one of excellence in the field of early education¬. Our unique and highly individualized approach to educating children is known for producing young people who are respectful, resourceful and collaborative self-starters who truly love to learn. The way we accomplish this is no secret—we are practicing a scientifically proven method of educating young children the way its creator, Maria Montessori, intended. This is all made possible through the continued support of people like you. The Children’s House is totally supported by tuition dollars and fundraising, and that’s why tonight’s gala is so important. Gala dollars fill in the financial gap not covered by tuition alone. The money we raise tonight helps to support continuing education and enrichment opportunities for our teachers. It helps buy new learning materials for our classrooms. Gala dollars are vital in helping to maintain our beautiful campus, the gardens and greenhouse. Many area businesses have stepped forward with both merchandise and generous donations to help ensure tonight’s success. To all of them and to our volunteers who made this evening possible, we thank you. I would also like to thank all of you for coming to our gala this evening and for giving so generously. It’s a special thing to be part of a community who understands the role early education plays in our children’s future. We are thankful to you for believing in our mission and for supporting our unique and extraordinary school. We will have staff available to check-out if you prefer. If you do not want to check out, The Children’s House will bill you for your evening’s purchases. The three wines in front of you will go with almost any of the wonderful foods in the first and second courses – we encourage you to taste and discover your favorite pairings! 2013 Pinot Grigio – This wine shines with fresh apple, lemon curd and a bit of fresh grapefruit. I think you’ll find it dry and refreshing yet silky and full in texture. 2012 Rose of Cabernet Franc – This dry rose will start the conversation with strawberry, vanilla and watermelon but will show off Cab Franc’s complexity with tea leaves and cloves in the richly textured finish. 2012 Pinot Noir – Without a wonderfully warm vintage like 2012, we normally wouldn’t get to make Pinot Noir this rich and dark. Plums, dark spices and oak notes are all supported and guided by this fresh dark cherry note throughout the taste (it’s a very Montessori wine.) Dinner for a Year from The Children’s House Kitchen Classroom Once a month (September - June), order off of the school lunch menu and the two Lads Winery is proud to sponsor the 2014 children’s house Gala The three wines in front of you will go with almost any of the wonderful foods in the first and second courses – we encourage you to taste and discover your favorite pairings! Plums, dark spices and oak notes are all supported and guided by this fresh dark cherry note throughout the taste (it’s a very Montessori wine.) 16985 smokey hollow rd.
