and nature. There are three main modes of
transportation integrated on site, the Railed
Ways or MRT station integrated with the bike
ways, provided along with private vehicle
parking deck to access the campus
transportation system. Each node in the
campus transportation are within 300m radius,
corresponding with effective human walking
distance. The accessible green areas, is also a
reection of Indonesian agro-biological

“Tropical Dream” seeks to translate the
principles of green building through a
contemporary design approach. Making the
vegetation as the pivot of all activities in the
house, the house is designed “lifted” from the
ground so it can increase ground soil
absorption ability. The air was designed to
owing freely into the building, mainly from the
lower side of the building. Void at the top of the
building is concave-convex sided, thus
maximizing air intake and direct it to the
building. The number of openings, height
ceiling level, and variety of oor leveling was
designed so it can balance quick air
movement, and maintain room temperature.

Giving family healthy activities in small area,
Stevilla 1 offers a concept of hierarchy-sterile
mass which separated vertically. The sterile
level is conditioned directly proportional to the
level of private space. The two-mass of this
house, private and non-private, then
connected by a void element, thus this element

Indonesia’s location in the edges of Pacic, Eurasian,
and Australian tectonic plates makes the site has
numerous volcanoes and frequent earthquakes.
Sometimes, earthquakes could giving a warn on the
occur of tsunami. Tsunami needs 25 minutes to reach
the land, consequently, there is a limited time to get to
the top of TES (Temporary Evacuation Shelter). To
minimize the obstacle, access for users are devided into
two, a path for normal people and a path for one who
have different abbilities. The unity between structure
and the vertical circulation (stair and ramps) strenghten
the building whenever tsunami comes.

Waisai is a café on the seaside of Pantai Waisai Tercinta (WTC), which focused on providing special food
with heritage enviroment of Raja Ampat Islands. Located on the waterfront, the site has a great landscape
to enjoy, thus was responsed to make an open facade on second oor. The use of local materials such as
glugu (coconut rod), with a palm leaf roof was chosen to maximize in using local resources, as well as the
principle of material and energy efciency. Waisai Café was designed to be able to accommodate 50
exclusive visitors, which generally are hotel and resort’s guests, situated around the site.

the building is designed to reect the Indische
Architecture Style. Beside being known as a conservation area, Jogokaryan also popular with its Islamic

Islamic ornament pattern which integrated with the
Indische style elegantly.

In the beginning, Drilchem Ofce which specialized in
Earth Sciences, proposed an interior design using rough
materials and contrast colour. Those were applied to
some interior’s elements, both constructive and
decorative. Rough materials are used in vertical plane
such as the wall, where the chosen materials are stone
and stucco. The contrast colour is used in a plane which
having a contact in one or more sides, such as between
a wall and oor, or ceiling and oor. Some natural
materials are also used in interior elements, especially
the cabinet and desk units, which use pine wood
material from Wonosobo.

ecopark can be a new landmark in Bukit Bintang.

The building uses materials from natural elements such
as stone and wood as a representation of the
characteristics of a hill Pathuk. Building design using

The regularity of learning process in this project is
presented through the application of modern and
environmentally design’s principles. Privacy needs
