UAJY Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (UAJY) is a private institution of higher education which was founded on September 27, 1965. As a university that based on Catholic values, UAJY keens on promoting excellence, inclusiveness, humanity and integrity in education. Community Engagement Trip This program gives real experience for students to develop initiative program in a community based on their interaction and their knowledge of community needs and preferences. PROGRAM SCHEDULE REGISTRATION IMPRESSION Yogyakarta is famous for its multicultural communities and its openness to diversity. This program invites students to explore the implication of multiculturalism and diversity in Yogyakarta in terms of gender, media, and social policies and to get better understanding of social norms inYogyakarta that is also well known as City of Tolerance. NGO Day NGO Day introduces the work of non government organizations especially the ones that focus on multicultural and public policy areas. This activity combines course (lecture) and workshop with the NGO’s (NGO Visit) and covers various topics such as LGBTQ, Gender, Children and Information (Media). The course emphasizes the social and cultural implication of these topics to locals. This is particularly interesting as Asian is likely to have strong faith, both in terms of religion and local wisdom. PARTICIPANTS ANNOUNCEMENT until 16 OCTOBER 2015 PROGRAM FEE Impression Short Course Program is open for 30 students. No specific technical or practical skills are required to join our program. International Students UAJY’s Students USD 105 IDR 600.000,- This fee excludes accommodation, living cost & insurance. Accommodation cost : - USD 150 for 5 day 1 room 1 person - USD 75 for 5 day 1 room 2 persons 19 OCTOBER 2015 PAYMENT until 23 OCTOBER 2015 PROGRAM 27 - 31 OCTOBER 2015 The program starts on October 27, 2015 at 09.00 am. The activities include lecture, workshop and other activities such as: Media visit, NGO visit, Mt. Merapi lava tour, stay with locals and city tours.
