RENEWABLE
Cork floors are made without cutting down cork oak trees. Cork bark is carefully
harvested, once every nine years, in a centuries-old tradition with hand tools,
a process ensuring that forests will remain undamaged. It is not unusual to have
a 200 year-old tree still producing cork bark.
HEALTHY HOME
All TORLYS smart floors and underlays are CARB compliant and meet the
VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) requirements set by the European Norm
EN 13986 (Class E1), and California Section 01350 Indoor Air Quality Standard,
one of the most stringent in the world. Cork is hypo-allergenic and insect
resistant. Mites and even termites are repelled due to a naturally occurring
substance in cork called Suberin.
