Beach Stage by Alvin Shiu, Avio Collective With Priceless reaching the big 1 - 0, we should staying young on the beach with beautiful people, Bill Murrays and a giant… pinwheel. Yup. Get entranced this year with awesome music and spinning optical stimulation. Belden Putt by Bonnie Barrilleaux, Gabe Martin-Dempesy & Gretchen Perkins Priceless’s first distributed minigolf course, evoking childlike wonder and the joy of good old-fashioned hitting things with sticks. Playing the course will take you on a journey into space, let you keep safety third, and shrink you down into a microscopic speck, among other adventures. Boolean Lounge by Igor Serebryany & Abi Kelly Escape the wearing complexity of the nuanced world. In the Boolean Lounge, everything is simple. Plus, there’s soup. Doctor Brainlove by The Phage Doctor Brainlove focuses on the interactivity of the brain with art. The project uses LEDs with interactive EEG controls to map your brain activity onto a large climbable brain sculpture. It is intended to be an illustration of neuroscience writ large. At Priceless we are presenting one module. Broken Promises Shattered Dreams by Claire Ray This is a playful project, colorful, light and delightful. The name comes from the feeling of being overwhelmed, being let down and disappointed but with the elation of feeling like ‘fuck it, life goes on’. Climbable Horn by Andrew Barton-Sweeney A climbable sculpture. A twisting tentacle, or a ram’s horn, or the trunk of a tree? Constructed from reusable pipe and bolts, generated by a computer to create an organic and rigid shape. Highly efficient and secure climbing (or living) structures need not only be shaped like cubes or domes! Clitteral Canopy by The Clitterati An alluring, relaxing and luxurious sanctuary of renewal. The lounge space will shade during the day when the pleasure-loving will find it to be a place of rejuvenation. In the evenings the Clitterati will serve tea while guests look up towards the stars and our projected atmospheric visuals. ConnecTable 2 by Moldover ConnecTable is a jambox - like an old school jukebox, but different in that people remix the songs on the fly together with other people. ConnecTable embodies the idea that even modern electronic music can be a simple, fun, hands-on experience of interacting with instruments AND with other humans! Dirt Stage by Jamie Emerick, Louisa Bukiet, Issac Roth and many volunteers This year’s design was inspired by the stained glass windows of Frank Lloyd Wright and the reflections of a hanging beaded curtain in the woods. San Francisco artist Jamie Emerick creates immersive spaces, theatrical environments and enveloping art around themes of life, death, and the passages between. Pewter Casting & Solar Flux @ The Dirt Stage Pewter casting + solar flux = metallic souvenirs and hot and sweaty Dionysian glee! Come join this rapid prototyping session to produce pewter objects. Learn to construct solar ovens, make two-part molds, and heat, pour, and clean molten metal. Bring an apron or clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! 10:45 AM Breakfast & Bass @ The Beach Stage Have some coffee with your morning bass. 11 AM Somatic Earth Meditation with Eleni @ The Outpost Drop into your body and connect to the Earth. Shed tension and stress and allow yourself to awaken your embodied, grounded sense of being from the inside out. 1 PM Off-piste Bocce Ball Tournament meets @ The Lodge Join us for the first annual off-piste bocce ball tournament. We supply the balls, you bring eager hands. All of Belden is your court and the tournament will wander as we play. 2 PM Baseworks @ The Forest Stage Baseworks is a lifestyle approach incorporating movement, physiology, and contemporary philosophy. Inspired by hatha yoga, the Baseworks Practice System combines corrective movement and subtle breathing to create a balance of strength, flexibility, and introspection. 90 minutes. 3 PM Painting @ The Outpost Feeling creative? Come sit down, relax, and watch what emerges from your fingers. We will provide acrylic paints, brushes, boards, drawing tools, and photos for inspiration. 3:30 PM Meditation with Miles @ The Forest Stage Join Miles, fresh from a solo retreat in rural New Mexico, for guided meditation. Good for beginners or more experienced meditators. 4:30 PM The Art of Improvisation @ The Outpost Learn the art of improvisation from one of our very own Priceless Troubadours! Through the arts of storytelling, acting, and singing, you’ll learn how to be in “the flow” of improvisation. 5 PM Airbrush Transformation Station opens @ The Lodge Are you ready to transform yourself? Would you like to become the art? Yes? Then you are invited to the Transformation Station! Bring out your inner Avatar or put on the mask of the one you wish to be. 5:30 PM Belden Bucket Marching Band meets on grass next to the Lodge/Dirt Stage Grab a plastic bucket, decorate it, and express yourself! Learn rhythms for marching, then drum about as we march through Belden Town! Materials provided, but but bring anything you’d like for inspiration. sunday morning send-off 10am - 12pm: Join us at main stage to celebrate the 10th birthday of Priceless. We’ll gather for some birthday games, photos, and of course music. Don’t forget to sign Priceless’ birthday card on Sunday morning before you head out! 1pm: Priceless 2015 is officially over…. Drive safely! fire, hydration, and other safety needs STAY HYDRATED...because it’s good for you! And you’ll have more fun. Drink lots! FIRE and SAFETY The mountains we are in are a tinderbox in the summers. This one time at Priceless, there was no Priceless, because the whole area was nearly engulfed in flames. As we all know, this year’s fire season is already in full swing and a hot one at that. Calfire and the Forest Service have stepped up their fire restrictions in response, so please review the following info so we don’t stress out the nice folks at CalFire: If you have a campstove, you’ll need to get a permit. If you didn’t get one before you got here, you can find them at entrance of Belden at Check In No personal BBQs or grills. There are communal propane BBQs available to use, if you have a BBQ to use for your personal camp, please keep it packed and don’t use it. Smoke responsibly: Use lidded ashtrays and please dispose of waste safely. Please be extra careful with any cookstoves and remember: ABSOLUTELY NO FIREWORKS, CAMP FIRES, GENERATORS, CANDLES, OR FIRE SPINNING ARE ALLOWED. Priceless is a Leave No Trace event, so please remember to: •Pack out your personal camp recyclables & trash. (We only have limited dumpster space.) •Bring your floatie home! The FluoroFlower Tree by Ashley Newton A fluorescent tree with limbs and flowers brought alive with techno-magic. During the day, it glows brightly from the sun’s light. At night it glows with the help of another sort of light. Don’t be afraid: while the tree has a personality of its own, it is benign. you need after a hard day’s night at Priceless. Seville by Christopher Schardt Seville is 16 LED strips spiraling down, forming a cylinder. The LED Lab iPad app generates imagery displayed on the LEDs using photos, videos, algorithms, and the iPad camera (yes, it’s interactive). At Priceless, two synchronized Seville pieces will mark an entrance. Kodama-sama by Ellen Juhlin & Jason Asbahr A magical place in the forest where you can sense the invisible tree spirits and other creatures frolicking around you. These tree spirits are called “kodama”, and the Japanese tradition of celebrating them is called “kodama-sama”. Wander into the woods, away from the noise, to serendipitously discover this special spot. Shadows & Mirrors by Lonnie Kurlander, Robb Walters & Sean Stevens “Shadows & Mirrors” is a delightful functional art piece which combines a need for ground lighting with thoughtful surprises. Large hexagonal mirror-lanterns and small shadow “fairy” lanterns can help light your way to a beautiful evening. The Light Aquatic by Scott Morgan An underwater light sculpture consisting of ten serpentine forms of computer-controlled LED strips. Street murals from SF’s Mission & Tenderloin districts provide the color palettes that drive the light and animation. A highly abstracted rendering of urban street murals in an underwater rural setting. With electricity. What can go wrong? Spid3r by Sean Stevens The Magic Garden of beautiful interactive flowers has a new inhabitant: Spid3r! With watchful eye(s) of laser disco-ball thermal vision, it may come from above to investigate you. Spid3r will react to your touch, but mostly Spid3r likes to hang out and party, and sometimes dance. A Moveable Feast by Daniel Busby A Moveable Feast will be returning to Priceless! Hop on, and pedal through Belden Town on the fanciest dining table on the road! Wear your finest attire, as the chandelier will be lit and the table will be set… for adventure! The Spirit Guide by Hannah Pourang An exploration of the connection between the human experience and spirit world. This art series honors the ancient wisdom of animals and the messages they whisper to us in our dreams. A visual arts collection meant to heal the heart. Newtonian Fluid by Helen Lurie A human sized fluid-flow simulation teaches the audience about isotropic incompressible fluids through participation. The Puppet Kissing Booth by Michael Whelpley The Puppet Kissing Booth will provide participants the chance to live out all of their smoochy fantasies, via the medium of manually-animated stuffed animals. Bring a friend, choose your puppet makeout avatars, and have all the fun of first base with none of the saliva! S.S. Belden Barge by Charles Philipp, Justin Silver & Peretz Partensky S.S.
