 A priest from St. Mel’s will celebrate the funeral mass
 A member of our Consolation Ministry will assist in the Mass arrangements
and be present at the funeral home and at the Mass
 The music ministry from St. Mel’s will be present at the Mass

Memorial Items Available
From time to time, people ask to have something named in memory of their loved ones, both living and
deceased. The following items are available. The names will appear on the memorial wall in the new
church at the completion of the Generations campaign. Please contact the rectory for availability.
The Sanctuary Lamp perpetually burns next to the Tabernacle letting us know that our Lord is present.

The processional cross is carried in procession at every mass:

The Paschal Candle stand is placed near the Baptismal Font and holds the large Easter candle.

A Tabor is a brass platform used to hold the Monstrance for Adoration and Benediction:

An Ambry is container (brass and glass) that contains the Sacred Oils. It is placed near the Baptismal
Font:
 Ambry: $3,000 (sold)
The Baptismal Font contains the living water that begins our faith journey.
 Baptismal Font: $5,000 (sold)
Blessed Mother Mural – This mural will be painted on the front wall, to the left of the Altar. The scene
will depict “Mary, the Untier of Knots”. In one had you will see the Heavenly Angels passing our
struggles to our Lady, one they pass through hands, they become untied.


St. Joseph Mural – This mural will be painted on the front wall to the right of the Altar. The scene will
depict Joseph the Worker teaching his young son, Our Lord Jesus, the carpenter’s trade.


upper portion:

for the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate
Conception to participate in our Diocesan Pilgrimage. While at
the shrine there will be time for prayer, confession, and for
visiting the many beautiful chapels before we gather for Mass
celebrated by the Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio. In the
afternoon we will depart for our return trip to New York.
