CONCRETE PAVING
Concrete Paving is the largest single market we will ever see. It has wild growth opportunity and it
will only happen if the concrete industry works to get it. Its time to change our prime focus from
housing – a market without real growth potential – to Municipal paving – one where we can really
grow volume!
Concrete pavement is the major marketing program of the RMCAO. With staff on board that focus
strictly on pavements, major breakthroughs are being seen with the development of supports
such as CANPav™ - online pavements comparison tool and Street Smart – pavements life cycle
cost report.
Work is being done with Municipal Engineers and Councils, Consulting Engineers and
Contractors to make sure that everyone understands the lower cost and longer life of concrete
pavements.

CONCRETE relationships
The RMCAO, its Board of Directors and committees ensure the promotion and advocacy of
ready mixed concrete for matters of interest by the membership. Working with and alongside
government, allied organizations and within the association itself is key to assisting our
members increase market share and their bottom line.
Government Relations Committee
The concrete industry deals with many
different Ministry departments, as there are
several separate and distinct issues that
impact the industry both on a direct and
indirect basis. Promoting best practices and
infrastructure investment at all levels of
government is of highest priority for the
RMCAO, and the Association maintains close
affiliations with provincial and municipal
government at all levels to monitor
any changes and to work effectively
for the betterment of its members.
Regional Marketing Councils
RMCAO is here to engage and to listen!
Regional Marketing Councils (RMCs) bring
our members together regionally to discuss
issues, successes and solutions reaching
all private and public sectors within a given
community. The Marketing Councils
provide an opportunity for members to
educate, learn and listen about the most
important issues affecting their regional
markets, and as a group
develop constructive solutions
to current issues.
Strategic Partnerships
Partnering with our allied organizations provides the
RMCAO and its members a broader voice and reach to our
markets, targets and customers. As an association
representing our members, we work closely with key
partners for the best interests of our industry.
