8 Steps Toward Opening a
Circle K Franchise
These are the steps to complete the process of becoming a Circle K Franchisee.

1. Confidential Application
If you choose to pursue a franchise
opportunity with Circle K, please return
the completed application in the enclosed
envelope. If you would prefer completing
the application online, please go to
www.circlek.com/franchise, and open
the “Investment Information and
Application” link.
2. Franchise Disclosure
Document (FDD)
If you meet the preliminary franchise
qualifications, we will send you a
Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)
which contains a standard TMC Franchise
Corporation Franchise Agreement,
as well as a copy of the company’s
financial statements and other pertinent
information. You will also be contacted by
the Franchise Development Department
to arrange a personal meeting to review
details of the Franchise Program.
3. Site Evaluation
After you identify a suitable location,
we will determine if it meets Circle K
minimum standards.
4. Group Interview
Qualified candidates complete a
personality assessment and meet with
Circle K management to ensure your
professional goals and our business
system are a match.
5. Franchise Agreement Signing
We will provide you with a complete
Franchise Agreement, ready for you
to sign. The franchise fee is due upon
execution of the Franchise Agreement.
6. Training
Just prior to your store opening, you
will attend two weeks of training at our
Circle K SMART Academy.
7. Pre-Opening Preparation
We will work with you to develop your
Grand Opening Program including pointof-sale materials and grand opening
specials and events.
8. Open for Business
Veterans: TMC Franchise offers qualified,
honorably discharged Veterans a 10% discount
off of the initial franchise fee for Circle K
convenience stores.
